"So you didn’t listen to and went back to the Leech king anyway, hmm?" Elliana heard the voice, and she turned to look at the witch who had been following her and trying everything in her power to keep her away from Sebastian.
"So you didn’t give up on the idea that I can’t be tad by you and won’t follow your orders like so puppy that you might want to be," Elliana retorted, and Leila looked at the girl before sighing.
"You don’t get it, do you? Do you think I am saying this for my benefit? I am saying this for your good only. If you stay away from the leech king -"
"He has a na and since you know he is a King, why don’t you give him so respect too?" Elliana interrupted, making Leila scowl, but she didn’t comnt on that.
Elliana walked ahead and looked straight in the witch’s eyes, her hands clenched by her side.
"And regarding my good or bad, I am sure I don’t have to hear about it from a witch who wanted to kill . Do you think I don’t know what has been going on in the witch world? I know there is soone who is guiding you to keep away from King Marino because he is the only one who can keep protected from the dark witches. Magic doesn’t work on him, and he is in love with .
And for that purpose, you tried to use my father as bait so I could leave my husband and you could proceed with your plans," Elliana said.
Leila froze in her place, her brows raised in surprise. She hadn’t expected the girl to know it all.
Was it Azura who told her everything? But then she has been observing her, and the girl hasn’t said a thing about seeing her father to that woman.
If that had been the case, Azura would’ve already caused a ruckus and confronted the white witches.
Does that an this girl wasn’t paying by their rules but it was them who got played by her? Leila looked at the girl, who looked back at her as if she knew it all.
This was what she was afraid of. Elliana wasn’t only a Powerful girl for her age, she was equally intelligent, and her intelligence and thinking out of the box while being observant were going to be the biggest hindrance in their life.
Leila gulped before evening her expression. There was no way she was going to let a little girl win at their ga.
"So if you know it all, do you know that this attack on the western borders was caused by the person who wants to hurt Sebastian? That there is a prince who is against him and wants him dead?" Leila asked, and Elliana humd vaguely.
Elliana didn’t say anything for a few seconds before she turned to Leila and smiled.
"I didn’t know that earlier, but from the number of tis you have repeated it, I guess I will have to find that prince first, no? Don’t tell you guys aren’t aiding that prince to destroy us all together," Elliana smirked before she clicked her fingers.
Leila widened her eyes for the second ti when she saw a crystal ball appear in the sky.
It wasn’t just any crystal ball. It was the crystal ball with her standing in the mountains.
In that ball, she was talking to so witch about attacking the western borders to make Sebastian busy so they could go and persuade Elliana to leave him.
Leila didn’t need to know who this other witch was. However, it was all because Elliana’s all the locks weren’t undone that she wasn’t able to see who the supre witch was.
But she was able to see her?
Were they really doing good by unlocking her powers for the spell?
"I..." Leila didn’t have anything to say now that she was caught.
"If I were you, I would leave the little girl alone that you think isn’t capable of anything," Elliana whispered, and the witch imdiately vanished without saying anything.
As soon as the witch left, Elliana’s strong facade crumbled, the crystal ball shattered into tiny shards, and she fell on her knees, breathing heavily.
"Elliana, are you okay?" Circe asked as they looked at their human counterpart breathing heavily while clutching her chest.
It was obviously painful for her. She wasn’t used to her powers yet, and to tail such a powerful dark witch, it needed imnse use of manga and powers and naturally she was supposed to bear consequences.
Dark magic wasn’t sothing that ca to you naturally. It takes years of practice.
Elliana was already lucky enough that in these eighteen years of life since she never used her magic they got enough ti to be incorporated in her like her second soul, but it didn’t an it wasn’t going to take a toll on her.
’Drink the herbal juice. It will help,’ Circe suggested, and Elliana nodded before walking to the bottle that she had kept aside when Dexter had arrived.
She opened the cap with her trembling hands and drank a mouthful of herbal juice before leaning on the wall, sliding down as her body gave up.
It was obvious her body needed ti for recuperation.
’But I don’t have ti,’ Elliana groaned, clenching her eyes shut.
She needed to go and help at the western borders.
As much as she believed Mr. Marino would handle the things, her won’s vampire team’s main base was there, and she was afraid they were going there today to celebrate Glow’s engagent with Marcello.
She wouldn’t be able to live with it if sothing happened to any of them when she could stop.
’I need to go there,’ Elliana said, and Circe looked at her in pure worry.
’You are in no condition to use more magic, Elliana,’ Circe warned her.
’I am in every right condition to use the magic if it has to be for saving my loved ones,’ Elliana grumbled before she took the support of the wall to stand and drank a mouthful of the bitter herbal juice that was reacting terribly in her stomach because of the large amounts she was taking to get better sooner.
’I ask you for this little favor. Give enough strength for this fight,’ Elliana whispered before she pulled out her phone and dialed Sasha’s number.
She dialed the number three tis, but no one picked, and her heartbeat fastened.
Please be alright. Elliana prayed in her heart.
She called Jennifer and closed her eyes, trying to breathe softly to heal sooner.
"Boss -"
"The western borders are attacked by rogue vampires. How long will it take you to reach there?" Elliana asked.
Jennifer didn’t say anything for a few seconds, probably mind-linking her friends to know the exact timing.
"It will take us 40 minutes, boss," Jennifer whispered, and Elliana nodded.
"I want 100 wolves deployed in that area imdiately. I am reaching there. My... My won’s team is there, and they are not picking up," Elliana whispered.
Jennifer recognised the pain in Elliana’s voice and imdiately worried about her boss, thinking she was wounded too.
"Boss, are you okay? You sound like -"
"I don’t have ti to talk, Jennifer. Will you be able to do it? If not 100, even 50 are okay. Gather as many as you can and leave imdiately. Please," Elliana whispered softly, her eyes closing again before she forced herself to open her eyes.
"We will be there," Jennifer said, and Elliana ended the call, the phone sliding from her hands as she closed her eyes and fell to the ground.
