Su Yunjin observed the won on the street from inside the carriage curtains.

From behind, the woman’s figure was slender and graceful, likely not bad-looking.

The woman held a sachet in her hand, smiling as she turned to look at Gu Ya, probably asking him if it looked good. Su Yunjin then saw Gu Ya pick another one for her at the lady’s stall.

The two seed so intimate that anyone unaware might think they were the real couple. Su Yunjin felt a bit uncomfortable; attempting to look further, the carriage had already moved on, and the figures of Gu Ya and that woman were no longer visible.

Su Yunjin lowered the carriage curtain.

Her previously good mood evaporated in an instant. The scene she just saw kept replaying in Su Yunjin’s mind. Why had she not seen that woman before? Why was Gu Ya with her? And why did Gu Ya lie to her last night?

Gu Ya had said he was busy today. Could his so-called business be accompanying that woman shopping? Su Yunjin suppressed the urge to imdiately turn back to ask Gu Ya, deciding to choose trust in him this ti. She would endure this for now, intending to ask Gu Ya about it once she returned from the Qin Residence.

Trust is the most important thing between a couple, and she had promised Gu Ya she would trust him. This ti, Su Yunjin ultimately chose to trust Gu Ya. She had misunderstood Gu Ya several tis before because of impulsiveness; this ti, Su Yunjin didn’t want to misunderstand due to impulsiveness again.

Gazing down at the gift box in her hands, Su Yunjin decided she would first visit Madam Qin at the Qin Residence. After seeing Madam Qin, she would then go straight to the Zuixiang Restaurant to find Gu Ya and make him explain.

Frustratedly, she rubbed her hair. Although Su Yunjin chose to trust Gu Ya, the scene of Gu Ya and that woman together still clogged her heart.

The sight of Gu Ya standing with another woman felt glaringly unpleasant.

She, did, not, like, it!

Suddenly, involuntarily, Su Yunjin’s mind drifted to the King of Chu. Initially, she had regarded the King of Chu as a friend, and there were tis when Gu Ya had sulked over it.

He even forbade her from seeing the King of Chu again.

At the ti, Su Yunjin felt Gu Ya was being unreasonable. There wasn’t anything between her and the King of Chu; they were rely ordinary friends. Yet Gu Ya got upset over this. It was truly beyond comprehension.

Now, Su Yunjin suddenly understood Gu Ya’s feelings. If the roles were reversed, she too would be unhappy seeing Gu Ya with other won.

Su Yunjin felt troubled and agitated.

The carriage quickly reached the entrance of the Qin Residence.

Alighting from the carriage, Pingping, knowing Su Yunjin was coming, had been waiting outside as instructed by Madam Qin. Perhaps there were others besides Su Yunjin whom Madam Qin invited today, as soon as Su Yunjin got off the carriage, she noticed another carriage parked nearby, and it seed there was another one arriving behind her.

Su Yunjin stepped aside, and Pingping approached her with a smile, "Madam Gu, you’ve arrived? Our madam has been waiting for you in the residence for a while."

Su Yunjin pulled her thoughts back together, afraid that Madam Qin might notice anything amiss, and stopped dwelling on what she had just seen between Gu Ya and the other woman.

Pingping continued speaking with a smile.

"Madam Gu, I’ll take you to see our madam now, please follow ." Pingping led the way ahead, with Su Yunjin following behind her.

The two walked together.
