Pingping led Su Yunjin to the Qin Residence’s backyard. On the way, Su Yunjin asked a few questions, and Pingping told her that besides inviting her, Madam Qin also invited so other ladies and young won from the town today.
Having more people makes it lively, and everyone can get to know each other. Before getting close, Su Yunjin could already hear the laughter and chatter of won from afar.
As she moved forward, Su Yunjin imdiately saw Madam Qin and several other won close to Madam Qin’s age sitting in the pavilion.
Su Yunjin did not know any of those won, except for one, the woman on the far left, Madam Song, Madam Qin’s third sister-in-law, whom Su Yunjin once t at Fuman Building.
Furthermore, there were a few young won sitting by the railing enjoying the flowers; they seed younger and were probably of similar age to her.
The ladies in the pavilion were chatting and laughing, creating a lively atmosphere. Perhaps affected by the garden’s lively ambiance, Su Yunjin found herself a little infected by the joy.
The lancholy she felt from seeing Gu Ya in the street with another woman gradually faded, and her attention shifted entirely to the rrint in the pavilion.
"Madam Gu, you’re here?" Noticing Su Yunjin, Madam Qin smiled as she looked at her. Su Yunjin handed the gift box she was holding to the old nanny beside Madam Qin, then smiled at Madam Qin, "Madam Qin, Pingping told you liked the tomato sauce I gave you last ti, and it so happens I have so more at ho, so I took the opportunity to bring so for you today."
"What a coincidence, Madam Gu, I was just talking to Pingping about it earlier this morning! I didn’t expect you to bring more for now." Madam Qin had long finished the tomato sauce Su Yunjin previously gave her, and was delighted to receive more.
Madam Qin courteously invited Su Yunjin to sit, and instructed Pingping to serve her tea. Just as Su Yunjin sat down, two children ran over one after the other.
The little girl was adorably sculpted like a piece of jade, and Su Yunjin recognized her as none other than Madam Qin’s daughter.
"Mom, brother is cheating again." The little girl ran over with a puffed deanor, her cheeks all round and filled with indignation. She seed genuinely upset.
The little boy followed the girl closely. They were twins, bearing a striking resemblance, though the sister appeared more lively while the brother seed serious and quiet.
The little boy, evidently accustod to his sister’s tattling, did not attempt any defense, simply standing beside her with a frown, as if he was used to his sister’s complaints.
Soon, the little boy sohow found a piece of pastry and used it as a peace offering to his sister.
The little girl glanced at it, recognizing her favorite pea cake. Her eyes lit up, but as she reached out to take it, her hand quickly retreated.
At the sa ti, her little chin rose defiantly, indicating she hadn’t forgotten she was upset. Su Yunjin found herself chard by the two children’s cuteness.
Madam Qin seed accustod to the scene as well; rather than reprimanding her son, she smilingly pinched her daughter’s rosy cheek, "Tangtang, are you bullying your brother again?"
"Tangtang’s not bullying brother." With her little face raised, the girl insisted on her angry expression despite being undeniably adorable.
