Kai narrowed his eyes, leaning forward slightly. "Don’t play dumb. What’s the next step?"

Es leaned back leisurely, crossing her arms over her chest. "Oh, you know... we just go with the flow," she said, her tone casual.

Ryan blinked at her, his expression a mix of confusion and irritation. "Go with the flow?" he echoed, his voice laced with disbelief.

Es smirked, clearly enjoying their reactions. "Yeah, think about it. By now, the news about Ray being in a coma has probably spread to all the family mbers. If I’m not wrong, they’ll start visiting tomorrow." She tapped her chin thoughtfully, her eyes glinting with mischief. "And you know how they are—soone’s bound to bring a cara or so recording device. So..."

Realization dawned on the brothers’ faces. Kai sighed, running a hand through his hair. Ryan groaned, shaking his head, while Ray simply leaned back, his lips twitching with an amused smirk.

"Chaos," Kai muttered, rubbing his temples.

"Exactly," Es said, her grin widening. "Let’s see how the show unfolds."

The next day, just as Es had predicted, the entire family descended upon the household like a storm. The air buzzed with tension as relatives filed into the estate, their faces a mixture of grief, rage, and judgnt. anwhile, Es, dressed casually in her jacket and boots, appeared to be completely unfazed by the commotion. She stood near the doorway, fastening her buttons, clearly preparing to leave.

The mont the elders caught sight of her, the atmosphere erupted.

"You witch! How dare you show your face here!" one of the aunts shouted, her voice trembling with fury.

Es barely spared them a glance as the aunt stord forward, her hand raised to slap her. The sound of outrage rippled through the room as the aunt closed the gap between them, but Es was faster. She caught the woman’s wrist mid-air, her grip firm and unyielding.

The aunt’s eyes widened in shock as she struggled against Es’s iron hold. "Ouch, ouch! Let go of !" she whimpered, trying to pull free.

Es tilted her head slightly, her gaze sharp and cold as she tightened her grip. Her voice was calm but carried a dangerous edge. "You’re too old to be making mistakes like this," she said smoothly. "Did you think you could slap and walk away unscathed?"

The aunt winced, her face contorted in pain, but Es wasn’t done. With a smirk, she leaned in closer and added, "I’ve mastered taekwondo and martial arts. Black belt, in case you’re wondering. If you so much as raise a finger at again..." She clenched her free fist, the movent deliberate and threatening, "...I’ll break that hand like it’s butter."

With that, Es shoved the woman backward, causing her to stumble before she was caught by one of the other relatives. The room fell into a stunned silence, the sound of the aunt’s groans echoing as she cradled her wrist.

The elders exchanged glances, disbelief etched across their faces. One of them, an older man with a cane, finally broke the silence. "She hasn’t changed one bit," he muttered, shaking his head.

Another elder, a woman with a sharp tongue and an even sharper glare, stepped forward. Her voice was venomous as she spat, "You’ve got a lot of guts. After killing our grandchild and putting our nephew into a coma, you have the audacity to stand here and fight us?"

Es turned to face her, her expression cool and unbothered. The accusation hung heavy in the air, but she didn’t flinch. Instead, she crossed her arms and replied, her tone dripping with disdain, "That child was mine. And that husband? Also mine. What I do with them is none of your business."

The room erupted into gasps and murmurs, the elders visibly taken aback by her boldness. For a mont, no one spoke, too shocked to respond.

Es, however, remained unfazed. Her gaze swept across the room, daring anyone else to challenge her.

The door creaked open, and Ray grandfather stepped into the room, his presence commanding attention as his eyes swept over the gathering. His gaze landed on Es, sharp and unwavering, before he spoke in a tone laced with authority, "But they are my grandchildren."

Es scoffed, her eyes narrowing in contempt. "Grandchildren? Hah! Where have you been, old man? When your daughter was out there trying to kill my husband, where were you then? Hiding in your old age?" Her voice was laced with venom, the tension thickening with every word.

The old man, however, remained unfazed. His gaze hardened, and his words ca with quiet conviction. "What my daughter did was unforgivable, and she was punished for it. Had you not acted, I would have handled it myself. But what you did to my great-grandchild and my grandchild... that, too, demands a price."

Es’s lips twisted into a cold, mocking smile. Her gaze flicked to the others in the room before she snapped back at the old man. "Oh? And what punishnt would you suggest, old man?" Her voice dripped with sarcasm. "You think I care for your empty threats?"

The old man t her challenge head-on. "You should be stripped of all your power in the Aron Group. Return it to those who it truly belongs to."

For a mont, Es stood there, her chest rising and falling in an almost predatory silence. Then, the air crackled with the sound of her laughter—sharp and unnerving, as if she were mocking a child’s attempt at being taken seriously. "Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Power? Belong?" Her voice was a dagger wrapped in amusent. "Tell , old man, who exactly does this ’power’ belong to? Tell their na, and I’ll hand it over... graciously." Her tone was honeyed with mock sweetness, but her eyes were icy.

She leaned forward slightly, closing the distance, her voice now colder, sharper. "Are you talking about this woman?" She gestured to one of the aunts with a wave of her hand.
