"So this is Jade Alley?"

Mar-Yue said in amazent as she looked at the sight in front of her.

It was way past noon, and they had been walking around for a bit. They had decided to get sothing to eat and Woo-seong brought them here.

This was an alleyway that had nurous vendors lined up on the sides, and due to this the people walking back and forth were brushing shoulders. But no one seed bothered as they simply nodded in acknowledgnt after bumping into each other, or just outright disregarded each other and instead focused on trying the many delicacies at the stalls.

Most were youths in fancy attire with a few adults mixed in.

The food the stalls were selling filled the entire alleyway with a mixture of aromas that tickled one’s senses.

The alleyway got its na from the ground being paved by smooth jade-green slabs that slightly reflected one’s appearance.

Sol and Mar-Yue were led here by Woo-seong and Mar-Yue was imdiately captured by the scene. Sol too was staring in amazent, and he couldn’t help but drool a bit when the intense aroma in the alleyway entered his nostrils.

"Let’s go."

Sol pulled Mar-Yue towards the crowd, and they weaved through to eventually stop at their first stall.

Sol chose this as their first stall since he was quite familiar with what they were selling. It was dakkochi.

Woo-seong appeared behind the two as Sol asked the old man sitting behind the stall the price of the food.

The old man looked up in age as his face was filled with wrinkles. His wrinkles moved as he smiled slightly and answered.

"Young man, the price for one dakkochi is five mid-grade Aether Stones."

Woo-seong’s eyebrows twitched behind the two when he heard the price. He knew it would be like this, but he still couldn’t help but have this reaction.

Sol smiled, Woo-seong had told them before coming here about the absurd prices for the food here. No, not just the food here, but almost anything worth buying in the Inner Circle was expensive.

A normal person would go broke in a matter of seconds if they tried to shop here. However, the sky-high price of things sold in the Inner Circle was for a reason as everything was of high quality.

Sol nodded and didn’t hesitate to produce fifteen mid-grade Aether Stones and place them on the small open space on the stall.

The old man smiled grew wider as he had received a custor. He didn’t stand up but instead waved his hand causing three of the dakkochi that were displayed behind the stall to gently float up and over to Sol.

Not being surprised by this, Sol took the three dakkochi. At the sa ti, the fifteen mid-grade Aether Stones on the counter disappeared without a trace.

This ti Sol was slightly taken aback, he wasn’t able to see how the Aether Stones disappeared.

’I knew that everyone here who has a stall was an expert, but I didn’t think even soone in the Spiritual Realm would be selling such a simple food. Judging by the fact that I couldn’t see how he took those Aether Stones away, his cultivation in the Spiritual Realm shouldn’t be low. Could he be at the peak of the Sky Expanse Realm or even at the Heaven Expanse Realm?’

Sol was secretly amazed that stopping at a simple stall would allow him to et such a powerful expert.

Sol glanced at three dakkochi and with a sniff, he realized that they weren’t simple.

With excitent, he handed one to Mar-Yue and Woo-seong. He then explained.

"I especially like these foods because of how special they are. One would think that sliced at on a stick wouldn’t have much variation in taste except for the type of beast at, but it’s not like that. The at could be from the sa Spirit Beast and cooked the sa, but it could taste completely different depending on the supplentary ingredients and spices used."

Sol then opened his mouth and took a bite. With that one bite three pieces of at were torn off from the stick. At the sa ti, Woo-seong and Mar-Yue took a bite as well.

Woo-seong’s eyes flashed.

"I see what you an. I’ve eaten the dakkochi in the Academy, but they can’t be compared to this."

"I think this can be compared to our Barbarian Race’s food, amazing."

Mar-Yue said as well, praising the food.

Sol nodded but his mouth didn’t stop moving. In the blink of an eye, the seven pieces of at on the stick were eaten clean off.

Licking the stick clean, Sol confird his suspicions. These dakkochi were actually made with mid-grade dicinal plants and herbs as supplentary ingredients. From that, one could see why it was so expensive.

At the sa ti, he felt a warm sensation in his belly that quickly spread throughout his body. It was Aether Energy contained within the at, it was extrely pure and gentle.

Sol circulated his Aether Energy and absorbed this warm energy. At the sa ti, he looked towards the old man and gave a thumbs up.

"Old man, I can confidently claim that out of the thousands of dakkochi I have ever had, yours is the best. There are even so properties within the spices that I can’t identify belonging to any dicinal plants I know."

The old man was still smiling as he watched the three eat. His smile grew even wider when he heard Sol’s words. He laughed and then said.

"Young man, by your robes I see that you’re an Alchemy Disciple from the Martial Alliance Academy."—The old man rubbed the gray beard under his chin as he continued—"I too was an Alchemy Disciple, but due to my poor talents I wasn’t able to beco a fourth-year student and was demoted to a Worker Disciple. However, I did pick up a few tricks during my ti there. You won’t be able to identify those properties because they’re from the dicinal plants I personally created by combining a few herbs together."

Sol’s eyes brightened when he heard that.

"Old man, are you saying you created a dicinal plant variant? Your alchemy skills must be great."

The old man chuckled.

"It’s only so-so, compared to what disciples like yourself will achieve in the future my skills can’t compare."

Sol waved his hands.

"No senior, you’re praising too much. How can I look down on your skills and experience as soone from the older generation? Without you paving the wave, disciples like wouldn’t be able to reach our full potential."

The old man couldn’t help but laugh out loud when he heard Sol’s words.

"Good, good, good. Brat, this old man is happy to see that disciples like you exist in this generation. What’s your na? Surely soone with your temperant isn’t soone ordinary in the Academy."

Sol smiled and responded.

"Senior, my na is Solovin, but I go by Sol by most."

The old man’s hand rubbing his beard suddenly paused and his smile went ridged. He looked at Sol and waves of shock battered his heart.

After forcefully calming down his old heart, the old man said.

"So, you’re the Decending Heavenly Dragon of Jianghu, no wonder I sense an extraordinary aura from you."

Sol grinned.

"Old man, I’d like to buy three more dakkochi."

By this ti, Woo-seong and Mar-Yue had finished their dakkochi.

"Sure!"

The old man said with a smile, however, Sol’s next words caused his expression to go ridged once again.

"Old man, how about you give a discount?"

Sol then took out ten mid-grade Aether Stones.

The old man seeing this cursed Sol in his heart.

How could he not have realized that everything Sol said up to this point was to soften him up before extorting him?

After hesitating he said.

"Thirteen mid-grade Aether Stones and no less than that!"

"Deal!"

Sol imdiately agreed and took out three more mid-grade Aether Stones. However, his quick agreent almost made the old man cough up blood.

Suppressing his displeasure, the old man waved his hand and sent out three more dakkochi. The thirteen Aether Stones Sol placed on the counter disappeared as well.

After grabbing the three dakkochi Sol handed one to Seong-woo and Mar-Yu before he waved at the old man and said.

"Old man, I’ll stop by next ti when I have ti. I’d really like to learn how you create that dicinal plant variant."

The old man didn’t respond and only snorted at Sol as he left with Mar-Yue and Woo-seong.

"Damn brat, how can he be called the Heavenly Dragon of Jianghu but be such a rascal to cheat out of two mid-grade Aether Stones?"

The old man muttered in discontent before he soon sighed in resignation.

"To think the Heavenly Dragon of Jianghu was a scoundrel. But I wonder who that young lady beside him was, her aura wasn’t any less extraordinary than the Four Faries of Jianghu."
