In Pearl City, a youth that looked like a child beggar was roaming the streets.
He looked to be around fourteen or fifteen. He had ssy hair and a noticeable scar on the bottom right of his lip.
Overall this youth looked completely haggard.
However, if one had keen eyes one would be able to spot his fingernails had not a spec of dirt under them.
One would also realize that the dirt marks on his clothes also resembled fingers, like soone had taken a hand full of dirt and whipped it on their clothes.
These small details shattered the persona this youth had carefully crafted. Though most people wouldn’t see these signs.
As the youth walked through the streets, people would either look at him with pity or disgust, but similarly, they would avoid him.
The youth soon ca upon a street vendor’s stand. Quickly he walked up to it and swiped away candy.
"Hey, you damn brat! What do you think you’re doing?!!"
The old vendor bellowed at the youth who turned on his heels and ran off.
The vendor was too old to run after him, but even if he could the boy had weaved through the crowd expertly and disappeared from sight quite fast.
So distance away from the stand, the boy walked out of an alleyway while eating the candy he stole.
The candy was four bright red sweats on a stick, it was a really popular candy in this City.
While he snacked on his stolen goods, the youth suddenly stop in his tracks and look up.
A massive ship could be seen flying overhead.
It was so large it cast a shadow over a small portion of the City as it made its way to its destination.
Only a few people rise their heads to look at this ship. Most people weren’t that surprised by it because they had seen this ship every year.
However, this youth was different. He was staring at the ship with such intensity it was slightly alarming.
"Four years, after four years of waiting it’s finally ti. Those fuckers better not ss up their part, I’ll definitely kill them this ti if they did. Though it has been four years, I wonder how they’re doing."
After muttering this to himself, the youth dropped his candy and turned to take a step forward. With this step, his figure suddenly blurred and he disappeared.
If soone could see his figure when he left, they would realize he was running in the direction of the massive ship.
On the ship, Sol was looking down at the City in awe.
"Why is there a City here?"
"It’s because of the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dinsion."
Yoon-Jae next to him replied.
"So the Academy allows people in the outside world to enter the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dinsion?"
"Yes, but the Academy only allows them to enter the Outer region of the Dinsion for a fee, the Inner regions are reserved for disciples like us. Though even in the Outer region there were valuable dicinal plants to find, so due to there being supply, demands followed to where this entire City was created to trade and sell dicinal plants brought out from the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dinsion."
As Sol listened to Yoon-Jae’s explanation, he saw sothing in the City that shocked him slightly.
"There are mortals living here as well?"
Yoon-Jea nodded.
"The Martial Alliance City is different from others where it’s mostly cultivators. But for the other Cities you visit in the future, you’ll see mortals and cultivators living together like this."
Sol found that fascinating, and he continued to observe the City below as the ship flew over it.
Soon the ship began to slow down until it fully ca to a stop.
"All disciples disembark!!"
The disciples on the deck started to make their way off the ship.
So of them seem like they couldn’t contain their excitent.
Sol soon stepped off the ship with the other alchemy disciples and started looking around.
The disciples were blocking his view.
He then looked down and used his foot to tap the ground.
He heard a hard thud.
It was solid rock.
Sol was so busy looking at the City he didn’t realize where the ship had stopped.
It wasn’t on the ground because he could see that the cloud above was really close.
They must have landed the ship on an elevated platform.
As Sol ca to this conclusion he started looking around again, this ti he was searching for Byeong-Ho.
He was supposed to be here, but because he wasn’t from the Academy he didn’t ride with them on the ship.
However, Sol had to give up trying to spot him in this sea of disciples.
He did see black robed disciples from the Weapon Dharma Pavilion, but Byeong-Ho must be lost among them.
After he couldn’t find Byeong-Ho, Sol now turned his attention to the Elders that were rising into the air and flying off sowhere.
"Brother Yoon-Jae, what’s going on? When are we heading to the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dinsion?"
Yoon-Jae smiled and said.
"We’re already here."
"Wah! Really?"
Sol was surprised and he looked around more intently, but he soon frowned and asked.
"Are you sure? Where is it?"
To be honest, Sol didn’t know what he was looking for. He understood Yoon-Jae’s explanation before that this was a separate Dinsion, like another world embedded inside the fabric of space, but the concept eluded him sowhat.
He had never heard or seen sothing like that before.
Yoon-Jae soon raised his hand and pointed toward the sky.
Sol blinked and just as he was about to say that nothing was there, a sudden bright white pillar of light shot towards the sky in the distance.
Soon a second and then a third pillar shot toward the sky.
Sol was in awe by the spectacle.
However, he beca more shocked as he suddenly felt imnse Aether Energy gathering beneath his feet.
Then all of a sudden it erupted.
Sol’s hair and robes fluttered uncontrollably, and so did the other disciples around him.
Everything around Sol was white and he imdiately realize he must be standing inside one of those white pillars.
Feeling this absurd abundance of Aether Energy, Sol felt the urge to sit down and start cultivating, but he resisted it.
Little Zeel who was asleep on his head woke up to look around with shining eyes. Though Sol didn’t notice this.
He was busy looking at his hand as he tried to catch the white particles around him.
The Aether Energy was so dense that it beca small droplets of liquids.
"This is so unreal. I never knew Aether Energy could look this beautiful."
Sothing about this energy srized Sol. It was so enigmatic in nature.
The alchemy disciples around Sol heard him and how he was admiring the Aether Energy around them with almost this child-like innocence.
They paused, and their anticipation for entering the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dinsion was montarily put aside.
They started looking around at the Aether Energy they had been ignoring.
And Sol was right, it was really amazing to see.
Yoon-Jae smiled and suddenly extend his index finger to tap one of the droplets condensed from Aether Energy.
It burst and then transford into a red flaming flower that quickly bloom before wilting away.
Yoon-Jae went to tap another droplet, but as he did, Sol who was watching next to him suddenly shot out his hand to tap the sa droplet.
All of a sudden, this droplet filled with Aether Energy trembled and instead of bursting into a flaming flower, it attracted a few more droplets around it to form a larger droplet. Afterwards, it floated motionlessly and slowly began to morph into a flaming flower with a stem that blood slowly.
The disciples in the surroundings all watched this with amazed expressions.
What Sol and Yoon-Jae did seem simple, but it was mind-blowing if one truly understood how they did it.
These droplets were Aether Energy without an elental attribute.
What Sol and Yoon-Jae did when they tapped the droplet in that split second, was that they infused their own Fire Aether Energy into it and then transform its structure into a flower.
The minute control of Aether Energy needed to pull off such a delicate process in that split second was simply absurd.
However, the disciples were confused.
Did Sol cultivate Fire Aether Energy? How was he able to do that with Yoon-Jae?
Yoon-Jae looked towards Sol with disapproval in his eyes, but Sol smile back at him as if to say he had only manipulated the Fire Aether a little bit.
It wasn’t enough to draw attention, and he was right, the disciples soon ca to the conclusion that he had used a Martial Skill.
Yoon-Jae shook his head before both he and Sol returned their gaze forward.
It took a while, but Sol finally saw what Yoon-Jae was pointing at.
The void in the sky began to twist and distort. Soon after large ripples spread to cover several hundred ters of the sky.
"Whoa!"
Sol cried out in surprise as a white light suddenly wrapped around his body and whisk him off the ground.
