"Sol, relax, this is part of the process to enter the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dinsion."
With Yoon-Jae’s words, Sol cald down a bit and he began looking around.
He saw that all of the disciples were floating toward the ripples in the sky.
Soon he reached so high up that he was able to see the surroundings clearly.
They had in fact been on a massive mountain.
But this mountain had its peak completely severed!
Similarly, there were three more peaks around it that form a circle with the entrance of the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dinsion in the middle.
The white pillar of lights Sol saw before were being released from these mountain peaks.
Using his Heavenly Eyes, Sol saw Elders sitting inside these bright white pillars.
"Are you ready?"
Yoon-Jae who seem relaxed as he floated next to him suddenly asked.
Sol awkwardly shifted his body to face the ripples as he said
"I can’t wait."
Sol’s heart was picking up speed the closer he got to the ripples. He saw that the disciples in front of him would disappear as soon as the ripples touch their bodies.
As he got closer to the ripples, Sol instinctively closed his eyes and held Little Zeel tighter in his arms.
When the ripples touched his body, he disappeared along with Yoon-Jae and the rest of the alchemy disciples.
Sol felt the familiar feeling of being teleported, and quickly he felt his feet touch solid ground. When he opened his eyes, and he was greeted with a colorful sight.
They were in a forest with huge trees everywhere. But most eye-catching were the colorful plants and herbs in the surroundings, though these weren’t dicinal plants but ordinary ones.
However, they undoubtedly look pleasing to the eye.
Sol looked up at the sky through the canopy of trees and saw a sun as well as a normal clear blue sky.
"Are we really in a separate world?"
"We are."
Yoon-Jae said as he walked off to gather all the alchemy disciples that were separated.
Sol suddenly sucked in a deep breath of air.
The amount of Aether Energy in here and its purity was intoxicating to his senses.
"Sol, co on."
Yoon-Jae’s voice snapped Sol out of his dazed state. He placed a sleeping Little Zeel on his head before he followed Yoon-Jae.
As he did, Sol realize that it was just the alchemy disciples around him. He couldn’t count exactly how many of them were here, but they were at the very least in the hundreds.
"Are we already in our Alchemy Pavilion’s territory?"
"Hm, the entrance we ca through sent each Pavilion to a random location in their own territories in the Inner Region. Only the Academy is able to open this direct entrance."
"Oh, so what do we do now? Do we just search and collect dicinal herbs?"
"That’s the ultimate goal, but we first have to check on our garden."
"We have a garden?"
"Brother Sol, we plant so of the dicinal herbs we collect in a safe zone and each year our Pavilion mbers who enter the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dinsion tend to them."
An alchemy disciple cut in to explain this to Sol.
"Does the other Pavilions do sothing similar to this?"
That disciple scowled and said.
"How could they when they’re too busy fighting each other for dicinal plants? Unlike them, we work together to collect dicinal plants and share them. Of course, if disciples want to go out alone to gather dicinal herbs they could, and they would completely own what they collect. However, it’s not advised that an alchemy disciple go out alone."
"Is there danger inside the Dinsion?"
Sol said taken aback.
Yoon-Jae was the one to respond.
"The academy might own this Dinsion now but previously it was owned by soone else, even until now they haven’t fully explored it. They cleared out a few safe zones for us, but outside of these safe zones, there are terrifying Spirit Beasts and even man-eating plants. And worse of all so of them are in the Spiritual Realm."
Sol’s eyes widen slightly when he heard that, but Yoon-Jae added.
"Don’t worry about them though. They have their own territories deeper inside the Dinsion that they won’t ever leave, so as long as we don’t venture deeper to look for death, we’ll be safe."
Sol relaxed upon hearing that. One should know that among the Pavilions the Alchemy Pavilion is the weakest in terms of combat.
Their Innate Dharmas were mostly Elental Innate Dharmas relating to Wood or Fire Aether in the form of plants. Maybe a few had Weapon Innate Dharmas but that was rare. So, it wasn’t like they could use their plant Innate Dharmas to fight. They had to work in numbers when they could collect dicinal plants.
Soon the group ca upon the edge of the forest and Sol saw in the distance a Palace that was in ruins.
Sol was shocked.
He might as well be in this state perpetually while in this Dinsion.
"Brother Yoon-Jae what is that? How co there is a ruin Palace in here?"
"It’s like I said, this Dinsion use to belong to soone else, they were the ones who built these Palaces."
Looking at the ruined Palace that was a shell of its forr glory, with parts of it in rubble on the ground, Sol could tell that this Palace was once filled with prestige and honor. It ant sothing to soone, but now it was just ruins to them.
Sol also noted as he walked closer that despite it being destroyed, this Palace was still huge. He couldn’t imagine how big it was in its pri.
"Brother Yoon-Jae, just what kind of person owned this Dinsion and built these Palaces?"
"Well, the common belief is that this Dinsion and the others like it were the hos of Deities."
"Deities? Like the ones from ancient tis?"
Yoon-Jae nodded.
He then went on to explain a few more things to Sol as they walked to the Palace. Yoon-Jae also ntioned the separate Dinsions in the Eternal Desert and the Land of Shadows.
Sol felt all of this was exciting, perhaps coming to the Academy was the right choice. He wouldn’t have had access to information or places like this.
After a while, Sol and the others reached the ruined Palace.
Sol looked at the broken pillars at the entrance and the colorful vines that had grown over the building itself. He couldn’t help but feel it was a pity that it deteriorated to a state like this.
"The garden is inside; you can co and look, or you can start collecting dicinal plants if you want."
Yoon-Jae said, and Sol decided to enter to look around.
The Dinsion was opened for a month, he had ti to explore this strange place for a while. Plus, he wouldn’t mind cultivating a bit in here. He should be able to open a few acupoints with this abundance of pure Aether Energy.
However, as Sol excitedly went to enter the Palace, he suddenly froze and he retrieve the foot he was about to take a step forward with.
’What’s going on?’
Sol’s Innate Dharma started trembling all of a sudden.
Sol looked down at the ground, and a strange feeling appeared in his heart.
’No way, is that even possible?!’
Sol imdiately bent down and began digging the ground in a specific spot.
His actions drew Yoon-Jae and the other disciples’ attention.
"Sol, what are you doing?"
Sol didn’t answer Yoon-Jae and just kept digging.
Soon a few more disciples gather around until a few hundred of them were there watching Sol dig.
After a few minutes, Sol had dug several dozen feet into the ground.
Yoon-Jae stood by the side as dirt was flung out of the hole by Sol. He thought either Sol had found sothing, or he had just gone mad and started digging random holes.
But soon enough, his forr theory was proven right.
"I found it!"
Sol yelled as he leaps out of the massive ditch he just dug with his bare hands.
When he ca out, everyone looked at what he was holding in his hand, and they beco slack-jawed with incredulity spreading across their faces.
Even Yoon-Jae was staring at Sol’s hand with a speechless expression on his face.
As for what was in Sol’s hand, it was a shriveled-up dicinal plant that looked like an ordinary weed that had been dug out of the ground.
However, who were these people? They were disciples of the Alchemy Pavilion!
They could recognize a dicinal plant just by looking at it.
But the dicinal plant in Sol’s hand, from the way its mud-stained leaves glead in the sunlight, and how the slightly exposed dry roots had an odd purple color liquid flowing from it. This wasn’t just any dicinal plant, but from those small but eye-catching characteristics they had only ever seen in illustrations, this was... this was a Tier 9 dicinal plant!
All the disciples in the surroundings imdiately began panting like dogs in heat, and they looked at Sol holding this precious treasure with crazed eyes.
It seed like they wanted to pounce on Sol and snatch the Tier 9 dicinal plant before eating it whole, but slight reasoning still remained in the back of their minds that prevented them from rushing forward and receiving a beating.
