The opponent before possessed an intuitive sharpness surpassing that of wild beasts, coupled with a vast and intricate array of combat skills. Every part of their body was a weapon; every movent had the potential to deliver a lethal strike. They were simply a monster born for battle!

And indeed, it was so.

Luo En had never undergone systematic training in any particular school of thought, but thanks to the blessing of his warlike divinity, he forged every experience and skill he encountered in continuous challenges and practice into this body, transforming them into an instinctual understanding that served the purpose of combat.

This was the "Infinite Martial Refinent"!

"Woo~~!"

As Luo En and Orion stood facing each other from a distance, a high-pitched and vigorous sound of a horn ca from the coast, echoing across the whole of Crete Island.

"Roar..."

Accompanied by a noise resembling the mournful cry of a fish or a snake.

At the sa ti, on the sea's surface.

The remaining Minos Warships and the Divine Blood Guard, led by a monstrous Minotaur, sliced through the waves like a sharp sword amidst the tide of beasts, pushing the battle line right up to the Mother of Monsters and releasing spears and bow and arrow.

Chunks of fresh flesh peeled away from the body of the Mother of Monsters, falling into the water.

The pained Keto thrashed its tail angrily, stirring up towering waves and ether tides in an attempt to engulf all threats and resistance.

However, the pale yellow wings spread out in front of the fleet, shielding them from the Mother of Monsters' dying struggle.

As the golden wings slowly unfurled, the Hundred-eyed Gorgon Witch, a fusion of the three sisters' divinity, displayed the ferocious stature of the serpent goddess above the sea, uttering a chilling and solemn proclamation.

"Keto, you have no right to step onto this land, let alone harm the humans here. It's over!"

In a deep chant, the Gorgon's serpentine divine eyes glowed intensely, and the thick, viscous aura of her might spread out once more.

Every Sea Beast that t her gaze, unable to even cry out, froze into stone statues and sank to the bottom of the sea.

"Roar...!"

The Mother of Monsters, Keto, was no exception to the onslaught; the life-draining grey-white that eroded her surface could no longer be contained and spread throughout her body, leaving only a struggling half-head still moving.

But clearly, it was all in vain.

The serpent goddess lifted her hand slightly, and behind her, hundreds of purple snakes, spawned from her hair, reared up, hissing wildly as they absorbed the magic and divinity scattered in the air. They traced out a massive purplish-red halo before her.

— A forceful seal, dissolving everything!

"Buzz!"

The next mont, accompanied by the vibration of the air, a bizarre purplish-red ribbon of light shot out from the halo, spanning the entire sea surface.

The might that dissolved everything pierced through Keto's body in an instant, extinguishing the last bit of vitality within the Mother of Monsters.

"Crack...!"

The colossal grey-white sculpture, part snake and part fish, stretching for miles, crumbled piece by piece.

As the oppressive shadow that lood over the hearts of every Minosian was thoroughly swept away, jubilant shouts that resembled mountains and seas erupted from the coastal defense line.

"Athena!"

"Athena!"

"Athena!"

Soldiers, priests, civilians, and divine-blooded nobility alike looked on with fervent and reverent eyes at the serpent goddess who bore the wings of deities and the body of a demon.

They believed that the female ruler of Crete Island had dual incarnations.

One resided in Olympus, a war-loving bird goddess...

The other lingered in Crete, a vengeful serpent goddess...

And now, their goddess was responding to their faith, fighting for them, achieving victory for them, seeking the right for them to live and prosper!

Vast and pure beliefs converged into an intangible golden river, soaking into the land of Crete Island, deeply rooting this faith in every inch of soil and in the heart of every Minosian.

~~

At this very mont, in a concealed valley of Crete Island.

When the dying scream of the Mother of Monsters reached his ears, Orion realized sothing was terribly wrong, feeling as though he had fallen into an ice cave.

How is it possible? Keto has lost!

And hearing the cheers signifying the dust had settled, Luo En's hanging heart finally relaxed as he stretched his limbs comfortably, showing a radiant smile to his opposite, Orion.

"So, the ga is over..."

Orion looked at the figure whose aura was climbing with every step towards him, his eyes filled with disbelief.

He hadn't even used his full strength yet!

— Run!

Almost at once, Orion made the decision, turning his head and rushing towards the valley's edge, heading straight for the sea.

Only by entering the domain of the ocean did he have a sliver of a chance to win!

However, he had barely escaped a few steps when the sharp sound of sothing cutting through the air attacked from both sides.

Orion's instincts kicked in, tensing his muscles and tumbling awkwardly on the spot.

"Puff puff puff!"

Imdiately, a bone-white spear and two bone arrows grazed his skin by a hair's breadth, piercing through the rock behind him.

Following quickly, the grinding sound of bones filled the air as two sharp swords and two long spears jabbed toward Orion's head and heart.

"Roll!"

In the face of this crisis, the Son of God of the Sea imdiately released his oceanic divinity, stirring up a deep blue halo around him, throwing off the sharp swords and long spears.

But by then, the three skeletal creatures in the back, already ard with close-combat bone weapons, alternately surged forward.

"Dragon Tooth Soldiers!"

Orion, seeing the seven bone creatures with serpentine features that seed to have been lying in wait all around, couldn't help but curse through clenched teeth.
