Jayden was afraid of Ethan; after all, in the Grant Family and even throughout ridia, no one dared to oppose him.

"Take her to the back," Jayden whispered, directing the nanny to lead Yvette Aston to the servants’ quarters, fearing Ethan’s anger.

Ethan was a man with a cleanliness obsession; he moved out after reaching adulthood and returned rarely, making today an exception.

"Little brat," the nanny gritted her teeth, noticing Ethan had left the veranda, and kicked Sumrs to the ground.

Yvette, panicked, held the child tightly, her voice choked, "We won’t live here; we’re going ho!"

After speaking, Yvette began to leave with Sumrs in her arms.

Sumrs was still a child; how could Jayden allow anyone to harm him?

"Yvette, I advise you to recognize the reality," Jayden pulled Yvette’s hair and dragged her back.

Sumrs was resilient; even after being kicked by the nanny, he didn’t cry. But witnessing Jayden bully his mom, he cried out, "Let go of my mommy!"

"Jayden... I’ve agreed to donate my kidney, what more do you want." Yvette pleaded tearfully with Jayden, unable to understand why he wouldn’t let her be.

"Yvette, if it weren’t for you and your mother’s collusion to swap Charlotte’s life, Charlotte wouldn’t have severe depression, let alone almost died in an accident!" Jayden detested Yvette.

Yvette lowered her gaze helplessly; the harm was already done, and she couldn’t change it. "I didn’t... Jayden, why won’t you believe ? I truly know nothing about any collusion with the Sumrs Family."

Charlotte said that during her years with the Sumrs Family, she was tornted, even fabricating lies that Caden, as her brother, molested her from a young age, hurt her, intimidated her, and left her with deep trauma, leading to severe depression.

Everyone believed Charlotte; no one trusted Yvette or Caden because they were the offspring of the perpetrators.

Caden said their family wished to give everything for Charlotte, and his mother, out of guilt, gave Charlotte the only chance to go to school, working tirelessly to earn money for her well-being.

Caden dropped out of school at sixteen to earn money to ensure a better life for his sister Charlotte.

Because Mrs. Sumrs favored Charlotte excessively, Caden argued fiercely with her, which led to the revelation of the truth.

Charlotte, hiding outside the door and hearing this, ran back to The Aston Family, sared Yvette, claiming she and the Sumrs Family had planned all this.

In fact, it was on that day that Yvette learned she wasn’t The Aston Family’s biological daughter.

"It seems five years in prison hasn’t made you reflect properly," Jayden shoved Yvette, looking increasingly disgusted.

"Don’t touch my mommy," Sumrs wanted to protect his mother, but he knew he was no match for Jayden.

"Daddy!"

Suddenly, Sumrs cried out for his father, rushing toward the man at the doorway.

"..."

At the entrance, Ethan’s expression darkened intensely.

The nanny and Jayden also looked at Ethan with fear.

The Grant Family knew well Ethan’s serious cleanliness obsession.

He hated anything unfamiliar, especially people.

The little brat was covered in dirt; his clothes were filthy, yet he dared...

Everyone inhaled sharply, including Yvette.

Yvette’s voice shook, tense and confused, as she looked at Ethan, "Mr. Grant, I’m sorry, I’m sorry..."

Ethan, who held absolute authority in ridia’s business world and was Yvette’s only hope of rescue.

In the past, when she was engaged to the Grant Family and attended a family banquet, she t Ethan, who was the pillar of the Grant Family, whom no one dared provoke.

Business rumors claid Ethan was ruthless, with severe ans, and anyone who offended him t a bad end.

But Ethan didn’t push Sumrs away; he glanced down instead.

This little thing was cunning.

He knew who ruled this house; despite his young age, he grabbed onto the strongest pillar, showing surprising shrewdness. "How old are you?"

Ethan’s voice was deep and intimidating to most children.

But Sumrs was unafraid.

"I’m five," Sumrs answered clearly.

Ethan’s gaze rested on Yvette, almost about to kneel, and he frowned slightly.

The Aston heiress, unseen for almost six years.

The last eting was at a Grant Family banquet.

Back then, Yvette was the treasured jewel of The Aston Family, her smile reflecting innocence and foolishness. Years of hardship had turned her into a ghostly shadow of her forr self.

"Mr. Grant, I’m sorry..." Yvette wanted to take Sumrs away; her thoughts tangled as she searched for a way to capture Ethan’s interest.

But Sumrs clung tightly to Ethan, unwilling to let go. "Daddy."

Yvette was terrified, her eyes reddened and trembling uncontrollably, resembling a scared little rabbit unable to resist. "Sumrs, he’s not your daddy... let’s go find daddy, okay?"

Ethan tried to pull his leg back, but the little one held it tightly.

His gaze returned to Yvette; the faint fragrance she carried was familiar.
