"Brother..." Jayden Grant was also scared, but at the sa ti shocked. Ethan, who always disliked strangers approaching him, was acting so unusual today.

"Brother, I’m sorry, Charlotte had a car accident and needs a kidney transplant. She owes Charlotte, and I’m afraid she’ll play so tricks, so I brought her ho to stay for a few days." Jayden quickly explained.

Ethan remained silent; he never liked to ddle in other people’s affairs.

Especially those of Jayden.

"Brat, get out of my way." Seeing Ethan not speaking, Jayden reached out to grab Sumrs.

But Sumrs pressed his head against Ethan’s leg, hugging him like a koala.

Though young, Sumrs had learned to read the room.

He could tell Jayden was a bad man who bullied his mom, but this bad man was afraid of the man he was clinging to.

Yvette Aston, amidst panic, was filled with distress; he was only a five-year-old child...

"Sumrs, mom will take you to find dad, okay?" Yvette softly coaxed.

"Then hurry up and find that bastard, let him take this brat away!" Jayden cursed with suppressed anger, unable to pull Sumrs off.

Ethan looked at the little boy saring tears and snot on his leg, not only didn’t get angry but felt a bit amused.

A five-year-old child...

"Are you my dad? Will you be my dad and protect my mom?" Sumrs asked innocently, looking up.

Jayden’s face turned darker; would he believe a five-year-old could speak such words? Wasn’t it Yvette who taught him?

"Sumrs..." Yvette choked while coaxing him. "Be good, he’s really not your dad."

Sumrs felt a bit lost and slowly let go after the man didn’t respond to his question.

Watching Sumrs and Yvette being led to the backyard by Jayden, Ethan said nothing, only glanced at his soiled pants.

"Mr. Grant..." The assistant hurriedly ran over, quickly preparing fresh clothes for Ethan. "You can wash up, change into clean clothes; I’ll take these pants and throw them away."

The assistant knew Ethan well; anything unclean had to be discarded.

"No need." Ethan said faintly, then left straight away.

The assistant gasped in surprise, no need?

Indeed, Master Grant’s thoughts are as unpredictable as finding a needle at the bottom of the sea.

Getting into the car, Ethan gazed out the window thoughtfully, his slender fingers gently tapping. "Christopher Carter, it’s been six years, haven’t found the person I’m looking for yet?"

The assistant tightened his grip on the steering wheel nervously. "Mr. Grant, that day at the hotel... the surveillance was damaged, nothing was recorded. You didn’t instruct imdiately to investigate after you left..."

Ethan’s eyes darkened. "Blaming ?"

"No... Mr. Grant, that’s not what I ant. It’s just that after so many years, it’s really hard to investigate." Christopher Carter thought to himself, trying to do a good deed.

Really, if he found that woman, with Ethan’s temperant, who wouldn’t strip her naked and cook her?

Christopher Carter had been with Ethan for seven years and understood him best; Ethan was a man with severe psychological cleanliness, and those won who attempted to climb into his bed never t a good end.

Six years ago, there was surprisingly a woman who slept with the untouchable Mr. Grant!

Because of this incident, several high-level executives within Grant Group were innocently implicated, resulting in a complete overhaul within Grant Group, as few could plot against Ethan Grant.

Initially, Ethan didn’t intend to find that woman, believing it was soone’s way of dealing with him, thinking she would soon co out to make demands herself.

But as one year and two years passed... there was still no movent.

This made Ethan restless.

In the third year after the woman vanished, Ethan asked his assistant to start investigating, but with so much ti passed, where to check?

Christopher Carter even wondered if Ethan had drunk sothing unclean that night and dreamt it all.

"Dylan Fischer is still not willing to say anything?" Ethan’s voice grew colder.

"He only admitted putting sothing he shouldn’t have in your drink back then but absolutely denied placing a woman in your room." The assistant felt so helpless, as Dylan Fischer was a high-ranking mber of Grant Group, no idea what possessed him to dare sche against Ethan.

Rubbing his brow, Ethan closed his eyes wearily. "Keep investigating."

Ethan didn’t know whether his insistence on finding that woman was for punishnt or sothing else.

At so point, he often dreamt of that night’s scenes.

"Don’t touch ... Please, don’t touch ."

"I’ll give you money, lots of money, okay... let go."

He only rembered the woman crying and begging for rcy.

Ethan admitted that that night wasn’t just due to the drink; he truly desired that woman.

Without turning on the light in the room, he hadn’t even seen the woman’s face clearly, but the scent on her was like a fatal temptation.

"Stop the car!" His eyes abruptly opened, Ethan’s voice was deep.

Yvette Aston...

Ethan wondered if it was just his imagination; the sound of Yvette and her faint scent resembled that woman from the night.
