Shimizu-san and the Werewolf Ga 2

After a few rounds, it beca clear that Ai-san was good at causing chaos when on the werewolf side, Yousuke-san was adept at consolidating everyone’s opinions to find the Werewolf, and Seto-san, with her poker face, could navigate smoothly even when she was a werewolf.

“The voting results are in, and the person with the most votes is Kei-san! And Kei-san is… a werewolf!”

“How did you know?!”

“Well, it’s written all over your face… you were a bit too fidgety.”

When Shimizu-san was a werewolf, she acted suspiciously and got caught, and when she was on the villagers’ side, she was swayed by the werewolves’ words and voted for the wrong person.

She ends up with the lowest win rate among the Astronomy Club mbers.

“Well, now that everyone is getting the hang of the rules and how to play each role, let’s add a punishnt ga for the losing side from the next round!”

“Hey, we didn’t agree to that!”

“Well, I didn’t say anything about it. But gas are more excited when there’s so risk involved, right? Or are you afraid of losing, Kei?”

“Ai-san, that kind of talk…”

I looked at Shimizu-san. Her eyes were already ablaze with the spirit of a warrior.

“I’ll do it! But don’t complain later after losing!”

“Okay. One player is ready. Is everyone else okay with that?”

I shifted my gaze to Yousuke-san and Seto-san.

Turning to Yousuke-san and Seto-san, I realized that this could be a chance to pair up Yousuke-san and Ai-san alone during the sumr festival.

It appeared they both thought the sa as they silently nodded in agreent.

“I’m fine with it.”

“I’m okay too.”

“No problem here.”

“Three more players added! Alright, let’s get started! We’re playing Werewolf with a punishnt ga!”

***

My role this ti was a Villager. Therefore, I had nothing to do during the night turn, and we quickly reached the first morning turn.

“Okay, the ti limit for the morning turn will be the sa five minutes as before! Start!”

“Anyone with sothing to report, please raise your hand.”

Then, three people raised their hands simultaneously.

The ones who raised their hands were Yousuke-san, Ai-san, and Shimizu-san.

“Three people… Is there anyone who wants to lower their hand?”

“I’m not lowering mine.”

“I have no intention of lowering it.”

“I see. Well, I’ll lower mine.”

“Huh?”

With that, Yousuke-san actually lowered his hand.

“Yousuke, you’re acting too suspicious. What were you trying to do?”

“I thought if two people raised their hands, it would be harder for the Madman to raise theirs. That’s why I raised my hand, but it seems it didn’t have the intended effect.”

“So, you’re a Villager?”

“Yeah, sorry for the confusion.”

Yousuke-san bowed his head slightly.

“So, Ai-senpai and Shimizu-san, you’re claiming to be Seers?”

“Of course! I did a perfect divination!”

“I’m not claiming anything. I’m the real Seer, and I did a proper divination.”

“Shimizu-san, Ai-san, please tell us your divination results.”

Without hearing the results of their divinations, we wouldn’t have anything to go on.

“I’ll give Kei the advantage of speaking first.”

“That’s kind of annoying… Well, I divined Hondō and he’s innocent.”

From my perspective, the possibility of Shimizu-san being a fake Seer still remained, but the likelihood of her being the real Seer had increased.

“Hmm, you divined Daiki-kun?”

“What’s with that smirk!”

“It’s nothing. By the way, I divined Mio-chan and she’s guilty.”

Ai-san presented crucial information. Seto-san might be a Werewolf…

“I’m not a Werewolf. Ai-senpai is suspicious…”

Seto-san, who was always expressionless, stared back at Ai-san.

“I’m the real Seer, so Ai’s divination is nonsense!”

“Did you get flustered because you found a wolf to protect, Kei-san?”

“That’s not it!”

“Ai, stop provoking. But considering both divinations, it’s true that Seto currently has the highest chance of being the Werewolf.”

“What do you an?”

“If Ai is the real Seer, then Seto is definitely a Werewolf. And even if Kei is the real Seer, one of us—, Ai, or Seto—is a Werewolf, so Seto has a one in three chance. Therefore, purely by probability, Seto is the most likely to be the Werewolf.”

“That’s what I’m saying!”

“You didn’t understand that, did you?”

“I studied probability calculations!”

Ignoring the exchange between the Shimizu sisters for a mont, it seed indeed that Seto-san had the highest probability of being the Werewolf at this point.

“Anyway, Ai is not the real Seer!”

“Then who do you think is the Werewolf, Kei?”

“That would be…”

My eyes t Shimizu-san’s.

Wait, Shimizu-san, you said I wasn’t a Werewolf, right?

For so reason, I thought I saw a slight blush on Shimizu-san’s cheeks.

“Kei-san, we’re running out of ti.”

Shimizu-san’s gaze shifted, and then it settled on soone.

“You’re the Werewolf!”

“?”

Shimizu-san was looking at Ai-san.

At that mont, the sound signaling the end of the discussion ca from Ai-san’s smartphone.

“Voting ti! Vote for who you think is the Werewolf!”

We each took Ai-san’s smartphone to cast our votes. After everyone had voted, the smartphone was returned to Ai-san.

“The results of the vote are in… and the person with the most votes is… !? And I am…”

Was Ai-san really the Werewolf or not?

“…I’m a Werewolf. No, how did this happen?”

Ai-san seed genuinely shocked, wilting on the spot.

“So it’s a loss, huh…”

“Let’s confirm everyone’s roles for the record. The Werewolf is , the Madman is Yousuke, the Seer is Kei, and the Villagers are Daiki-kun and Mio-chan, right?”

Everyone but Ai-san nodded in confirmation.

“That’s right. So, who did everyone vote for? I voted for Mio-chan.”

“I voted for Seto.”

“Of course, it was Ai.”

“I also voted for Ai-san.”

“I voted for Ai-senpai too.”

Ai-san received three votes and Seto-san two.

It seed to have been a narrow victory.
