"The dicine—you’re taking it today, no doubt about it. Better let it sink in: not just anyone’s face can be toyed with at your whim, Qin Yan!"

As soon as Bo Yunshen said this, Qin Yan suddenly let out a small sigh of relief.

She licked the corner of her lips, squeezed out a bit of ointnt, and dabbed it gently over the slightly reddened area on Bo Yunshen’s face.

His cheek, which had been burning hot, was instantly soothed by the cool trace of the ointnt. The discomfort lted away almost imdiately upon contact...

Bo Yunshen squinted his eyes slightly.

Qin Yan worked skillfully. Within monts, she had carefully applied the ointnt to the injuries on Bo Yunshen’s face.

The wounds on Bo Yunshen’s back had been treated by Qin Yan as well, and were already seventy to eighty percent healed. Stripped of his clothes, faint pink scars were visible on his exposed skin. For now, Bo Yunshen’s focus was solely on scar treatnt.

When the ointnt application was complete, Bo Yunshen lay down on the outer edge of the hospital bed and closed his eyes.

After a tiring day, Bo Yunshen quickly succumbed to sleep while leaning against the hospital bed.

He had always been a light sleeper. In his half-conscious state, the rustling sound of paper being flipped reached his ears.

His eyes snapped open suddenly. The lights in the hospital room had been turned off, leaving only a small bedside lamp lit by Qin Yan.

She had her head bent low, huddled over the small bedside table, fingers gripping a pen as she sketched and wrote on sheets of paper.

A hint of ridicule curled at the corners of Bo Yunshen’s lips.

Not sleeping in the middle of the night—what was this? Qin Yan putting on an act of diligence just because he was here?

Three years ago, she had suffered through a C-section to give birth to a daughter all by herself because of him. Estimate-wise, if he truly ended up succumbing to leukemia, Qin Yan wouldn’t even spare him a bone marrow donation.

His deep attachnt to the Bo Group was sothing Qin Yan knew inside and out.

In front of him, if she played her cards right, maybe—just maybe—he really would leave the Bo Group to Qin Yan!

At worst, wasn’t the old man still around?

Bo Yunshen let out a cold chuckle.

He suddenly sat bolt upright in bed, the abrupt movent startling Qin Yan.

"Director Qin, burning the midnight oil, are we?"

"Just because you don’t have to work tomorrow doesn’t an I can afford not to!"

As he said this, Bo Yunshen’s gaze shifted downward to the papers in Qin Yan’s hand. His voice was low as he added, "Tsk, since when did the Bo Group have such harsh requirents that Director Qin needs to pull late nights to run reports?"

And handwritten ones at that!

Qin Yan’s eyelashes fluttered faintly.

In her hands was a docunt; she had already outlined its main points.

She handed it directly to Bo Yunshen.

He didn’t take it. Outside, the night was tranquil as water, and warm yellow light illuminated the room from within.

Pressing her lips into a thin line, Qin Yan said in a low voice, "This is the marketing departnt’s biggest project right now. If you refuse to take a look, I’ll have Xiao Shen pick it up tomorrow instead."

Bo Yunshen’s eyes darkened. What did Qin Yan an by this?

Had she already planned to send her secretary to deliver it to the President’s Office tomorrow?

So just because it was Qin Yan’s project, he was supposed to personally review it?

Utterly laughable.

Qin Yan suddenly reached out, holding the A4 sheet from the table and offering it to Bo Yunshen again.

The disdainful indifference on Bo Yunshen’s face faltered for a mont. His peripheral vision inadvertently caught sight of two words at the very top of the page Qin Yan handed him.

Resignation Letter.

Bo Yunshen lowered his head sharply, his gaze locking on the two bolded words printed at the top of the docunt.

"Qin Yan, what is the aning of this?"

Qin Yan arched a delicate brow. "Exactly what it says."

"I’m resigning from the position of Marketing Director at the Bo Group. Please, Mr. Bo, find yourself a more suitable replacent."

A vein twitched at the corner of Bo Yunshen’s eyes.

The old man had placed great expectations on Qin Yan.

If she insisted on resigning at this critical ti, was it a strategic retreat? A ploy?

If the old man found out, how would he react?

Would he think Bo Yunshen had forced her out?

Was Qin Yan worried the old man might give him hell for it?

Bo Yunshen’s eye twitches grew more pronounced.

He didn’t take the resignation letter. In a soft voice, Qin Yan said, "Yunshen, aren’t you afraid I’ll start scheming against the Bo Group?"

"We can even draft a new agreent."

Bo Yunshen redirected his gaze to her, studying her expression.

Was this her intention to negotiate terms?

Did she want shares in the Bo Group? Sothing else?

Anything Qin Yan asked for would undoubtedly co with a hefty price tag!

Bo Yunshen ntally sneered. Fine, he’d entertain her; let’s see what ga Qin Yan was playing.

"What kind of agreent?"

Qin Yan’s tone was collected. "No matter what happens in the future, I won’t take any shares in the Bo Group, and I can even promise never to return."

"But I have one condition."

Her gaze drifted beyond Bo Yunshen, settling on Qin Yinyin behind him.

"I hope you can give Yinyin the fatherly love she deserves."

"At the very least, set aside two days a week to spend with her."

A poignant heaviness flickered across Qin Yan’s eyes, impossible for Bo Yunshen to ignore even if he wanted to.

His pupils dilated slightly.

No Bo Group shares?

No claim to ownership?

She only wanted him to spend ti with... the little brat?

Bo Yunshen couldn’t believe Qin Yan’s demands were truly that simple.

Surely, she must have realized he’d seen through her thoughts. Knowing he’d be on guard, she was deliberately setting him up!

Gambling everything she had, pressing him into close proximity, hoping to win his affection? So that if he fell for her, she’d have everything?

Bo Yunshen scoffed internally. Qin Yan was calculating, as always.

"I disagree."

Qin Yan froze montarily. "Yunshen, don’t rush to reject so quickly!"

"The two days I ntioned could even be accumulated!"

"For instance, on Monday, if you spent just a short while at Xing Yue Bay, as long as the ti adds up to two full days, it’d suffice."

The terms Qin Yan laid out were tempting, to say the least.

Bo Yunshen let out a cold laugh. "Ti doesn’t matter, Qin Yan. The real issue is that I don’t want to see your face, which disgusts ."

"That’s easily fixed."

"I can stay away. If you have ti, you can call in advance so I can leave Xing Yue Bay, or I can send Yinyin to Hai Wan Xiang Xie instead!"

Qin Yan mulled it over briefly before speaking in a low tone. "If you think my demand is excessive, one and a half days per week will suffice."

Bo Yunshen went silent.

Inside, he was caught off guard.

In Qin Yan’s eyes, the nervous sincerity was unmistakable. Enough for Bo Yunshen to see she wasn’t just throwing out random words.

Following her gaze, his eyes instinctively landed on the sleeping Qin Yinyin behind him.

Her face was soft and rosy.

Qin Yan really doted on this little brat.

Was this "love , love my child"? An undying affection for the father of the child?

Bo Yunshen furrowed his brows but quickly dismissed the thought.

No, impossible.

A woman as cunning as Qin Yan, if she truly loved soone, wouldn’t need to go through so many twists and turns just to marry him!

The child had already been born—shouldn’t she just go pester the man she genuinely cared for instead?

Bo Yunshen tightly knit his brows. Could it be the little brat’s father was poor?

Annoyed, he exclaid, "No way!"

Qin Yan licked her lips, her eyes locked onto him firmly.

"You know what’s convenient for you, don’t you, Qin Yan?"

"It’s not even my kid. Why should I spend ti with her?"

"In the future, I’ll have my own children. You think I’d give up my personal ti with my future wife and kids to help raise yours instead?"

"Why don’t you dream bigger? Compared to this, the Bo Group’s shares sound a lot more appealing!"
