"It’s ."

Qin Yinyin covered her mouth, laughing contentedly, her innocence still tinged with a hint of naivety.

Bo Yunshen looked at Qin Yinyin with disdain, feeling she was utterly clueless, and shot her a glance: "It’s so late, and you’re still not sleeping, hmm?"

"I’m waiting for Daddy to co back."

Those few simple words seed to tug at so part of Bo Yunshen’s heart.

He pressed his lips together slightly, his thin lips and enigmatic gaze illuminated by the lamp, projecting a face that was both striking and clean.

Looking at Qin Yinyin like this, he thought to himself, perhaps having a daughter wouldn’t be so hard to resist after all!

Just as the thought crossed his mind, Bo Yunshen’s gaze darkened abruptly.

He might want children, but Qin Yan had continually held onto the title of Mrs. Bo!

He couldn’t exactly have children with Qin Yan, could he?

Bo Yunshen scoffed coldly, the corners of his lips dropping slightly, when the door to the hospital room was knocked upon, and the nurse entered shortly thereafter.

"Mr. Bo, the VIP room is ready."

Qin Yan froze: "What VIP room?"

Bo Yunshen’s expression grew somber. He bent down and picked Qin Yinyin up into his arms, glancing disdainfully at the single bed, and sneered:

"Such a small bed—Director Qin, are you expecting to spend the whole night sitting here in the room?"

Qin Yan choked.

The nurse stepped forward and softly said, "Mrs. Bo, Mr. Bo just instructed to prepare the SVIP suite, the sa room you stayed in previously. It’s already been cleaned."

"The child hasn’t slept yet, so perhaps you should move there now."

Qin Yan pressed her lips lightly and nodded in agreent.

If it ant improving Qin Yinyin’s treatnt conditions, Qin Yan certainly wouldn’t object.

With Bo Yunshen around, the doctors would take extra care of Qin Yinyin’s eyes—maybe they could be cured sooner, or maybe not!

Qin Yan tidied up their belongings and followed Bo Yunshen upstairs.

The nurse didn’t follow, and Qin Yinyin, unable to fight off her sleepiness, nestled comfortably in Bo Yunshen’s arms and fell asleep peacefully.

In the elevator, the silence was palpable.

Despite her usual sloppiness, Qin Yan’s fair skin and stunning features, under the elevator’s fluctuating lighting, made her appear like a princess from a fairy tale.

"I helped Director Qin so much, and yet I don’t even get a single thank you?"

Bo Yunshen suddenly broke the silence, causing Qin Yan to lick her lips and instinctively glance at him—only to et the man’s deep, dark eyes.

There was blatant mockery within, flickering faintly.

Qin Yan was montarily speechless, taking a long pause before regaining her voice: "No sincerity!"

"A thank-you gift, then?"

For the first ti, Bo Yunshen asked her for sothing, and Qin Yan hesitated briefly, her thoughts drifting to the wristwatch she had yet to return to him.

In her haste, Qin Yan said, "Your injuries are nearly healed. I’ll bring your watch over tomorrow when I go to Xing Yue Bay to pack my things."

A watch?

Bo Yunshen suddenly understood—if Qin Yan hadn’t ntioned it, he would have almost forgotten that the watch Manman had gifted him was still with her.

His lips twitched slightly.

Bringing up the watch now—could it be that she was afraid he’d be angry about her hitting him and would leave her and Qin Yinyin alone in the hospital?

So she intentionally brought it up to try and appease him?

Qin Yan truly was a textbook example of adapting to the winds of change!

Bo Yunshen was unimpressed by such behavior, and his brows furrowed coldly.

"That’s mine in the first place; it should’ve returned to long ago!"

"Director Qin, are you so broke that you can’t even afford a thank-you gift?"

Qin Yan smiled faintly, tucking her stray hair behind her ear, and said with poise, "Yes. I’m a bit tight on money right now."

"Even if I prepared a proper gift, Mr. Bo probably wouldn’t think much of it!"

"I’d rather not humiliate myself further."

Bo Yunshen was montarily stunned.

Qin Yan was, after all, the director of the marketing departnt, having received a bonus of 300,000 last month—was she seriously crying poor now?

"Are you implying that the Bo Group can’t afford to sustain a marketing director like you?"

"Or are you suggesting that my Bo Family has mistreated you, Mrs. Bo?!"

Qin Yan: "..."

Bo Yunshen always managed to find absurd interpretations of her words; Qin Yan had long grown accustod to it.

After being rebuked twice by him, Qin Yan pursed her lips and pretended not to hear.

Bo Yunshen noticed her silence.

"So you’re admitting it, then?"

"Yunshen, that’s not what I ant."

As Qin Yan’s words ended, the elevator door opened, and she strode out first.

Bo Yunshen snorted coldly and followed her out.

It was already late. Bo Yunshen placed Qin Yinyin onto the hospital bed and pulled out a tube of ointnt from his wallet.

Qin Yan recognized it imdiately; it was the expensive ointnt she had specifically sought out and purchased for him, running all over to find it.

How strange that Bo Yunshen would still carry it with him.

Qin Yan furrowed her brow slightly but quickly understood. It made sense.

After staying at Xing Yue Bay for less than a week, Bo Yunshen had left, wandering all over—his injuries were naturally not fully healed, so he had to keep the ointnt for regular use.

As her thoughts swirled, Bo Yunshen abruptly shoved the tube of ointnt into her hand.

Qin Yan instinctively opened the cap and took a step closer toward Bo Yunshen, but the man showed no intention of removing or lifting his shirt.

"Yunshen? Let apply the ointnt for you."

Bo Yunshen lifted his gaze slightly, his long, narrow eyes glimring with unreadable depth.

His chin tilted up slightly, revealing a face marked clearly with finger-sized impressions, even slightly swollen.

"Director Qin, can’t you see my face is still swollen? If you’re going to apply ointnt, start from the beginning—see it through, won’t you?"

Qin Yan clenched the tube of ointnt tighter, her lips drawing into a firm line.

"Mr. Bo, don’t you find it a bit too intimate for to touch your face?"

Suddenly, Bo Yunshen reached out and grabbed Qin Yan’s arm, forcing her face closer to his.

Her breath brushed against Bo Yunshen’s skin, light and faint, carrying her unique scent, an utterly intoxicating sensation.

Bo Yunshen remained expressionless, even allowing a faint sneer to form at the corner of his lips.

"Touching my face is too intimate, so what, Director Qin—was slapping your alternative?"

Qin Yan was at a loss for words.

Bo Yunshen grasped Qin Yan’s hand and forcefully pressed it against his face.

In the dim light of the hospital room, with minimal distance between them, his breath hovered close to Qin Yan’s face, instantly turning the atmosphere charged and ambiguous.

Qin Yan swiped her tongue over her lips.

The pink tip touched her lips, leaving them glinting with a glossy, tempting brilliance that accentuated her perfect lipline.

Bo Yunshen’s gaze deepened, locking fixedly onto Qin Yan’s lips.

This insufferable woman—her daughter was in such a state, yet she still seed intent on luring him in!

Could wealth and status truly outweigh everything else?

Bo Yunshen scoffed coldly. In Qin Yan’s mind, just how blind did she think he was for her to believe he might fall for her?

Qin Yan remained still, and Bo Yunshen’s body relaxed slightly, though his eyes glinted with faint contempt.

"Director Qin, you slapped . Shouldn’t you take responsibility for it?"
