This sounded to Lu Chen like an invitation, and it successfully delighted his mood. He took her hand, "Okay."

The two said goodbye to Li Qian and their group and left the building.

On the streets, Su Mo strolled aimlessly. Lu Chen could clearly tell she had an ulterior motive and flicked her forehead lightly, asking indifferently, "What do you want to do?"

Seeing a few raggedly dressed children walk by, Su Mo felt a sense of familiarity and stopped them, "I’ll explain in a bit."

"We’ve just arrived at this refugee camp, kids. Could you introduce us around?"

She spoke softly, trying to sound as gentle as possible.

The little boy who rembered her as the big sister from earlier in the day perked up at the prospect of a task, "I’m Bai Shitong, and all it takes is so biscuits or a low-level Crystal Stone!"

"Bai Shitong?" Su Mo mulled over the na with a smile, "Nice na. So, will you introduce us around?"

"Of course!"

Lu Chen was indulgent towards her. She dragged him along, following the child through the entire refugee camp. And to tell the truth, this child who appeared to be around 10 had a lot to say.

In so places, he even knew more than Su Mo did.

He was also sowhat cautious, constantly looking back to gauge the expressions of the two big clients, afraid of offending them.

When they ca upon the comrcial street, the booming scene took Su Mo by surprise.

All the shops here had opened for business, and the street had been expanded to more than twice its original width. It looked incredibly long and was bustling with noise and activity, with all sorts of businesses in operation.

"This street is the busiest in the refugee camp. You both can trade for anything you want here," Bai Shitong said sweetly, pointing at a small restaurant that was open for business, "If you’re tired of the food in the camp’s dining hall, you might want to try the restaurant’s offerings."

A restaurant opened so quickly? Su Mo raised an eyebrow, noticing it was right across from her. Could it be that they were competing for business?

"Let’s take a look," she said.

Tugging Lu Chen along, they followed Bai Shitong towards the entrance of the restaurant.

Inside, there were a lot of people dining. Although the space was not large, the business was surprisingly good.

Approaching, they were hit with a strong mutton sll.

Su Mo covered her nose, uncomfortable with the heavy odor, and her eyes twitched when she saw who was running the restaurant.

Wasn’t that the Fatty she had almost crippled?

The other party also saw them and imdiately approached with a big, silly grin, "Miss Su, are you here for so mutton?"

The sll was offensive, but Su Mo held her breath and smiled, saying, "We’ve just had dinner and ca out for a walk. You’ve started a mutton restaurant?"

"It was Lin Yao’s idea, but it’s not bad. The earnings aren’t much, just over a hundred Crystal Stones a day," he said.

Lin Yao?

Lu Chen’s phoenix eyes slightly chilled.

Su Mo hooked her finger at his, saying, "That’s pretty good. Where do you get the sheep from?"

"Of course, we got it from another stall, because Lin Yao is an acquaintance, we can buy it at half price," Fatty boasted with his head tilted back, looking extrely arrogant.

Little Bai Shitong, who was sandwiched between the two, sensed that the atmosphere was a bit off and cautiously stepped back several paces.

Su Mo didn’t care in the slightest, instead she glanced at the custors who were eating mutton noodles or at. The majority of them were superpower users, and their eating manners were quite painful to watch.

You could tell just by slling that the gay taste wasn’t properly removed, probably a bit spoiled too.

Su Mo didn’t enter the shop and on her way out, she said with a smile, "Then I wish you a prosperous business."

Only after the trio had left did Fatty reveal a sinister expression. He also made a point to inform a brother, "Go back and tell Lin Yao that Su Mo is back. They also run a restaurant. Buy more of that batch of mutton. We guarantee to make Su Mo lose a fortune."

Stepping out the door, Su Mo took a deep breath and then mocked, "That Lin Yao is really smart, opening a restaurant. Looks like he wants to compete with for business."

Lu Chen draped his arm over her shoulder and said indifferently, "You could make them lose a fortune."

"Exactly. Just by the sll, you know that these superpower users probably ate there because Lin Yao is a Healing Superpower User," Su Mo said with utter disdain.

The diminutive Bai Shitong looked up curiously, "Big sister, do you also run a restaurant?"

Su Mo smiled mysteriously, "I’ll be opening soon. Let ask you sothing, that Fatty just now, do you guys know him?"

"Fatty?" His eyes widened with fear, then he moved closer to Su Mo and whispered, "I know who he is; he’s really close with the owner of the foot-bath parlor."

"Foot-bath parlor?" Su Mo admired the na of the establishnt, which seed to imply sothing profound.

"Take us there," she said.

Bai Shitong hesitated, stealing a glance at Lu Chen and fumbling with his fingers, "I think... it might be better for the two of you to go separately."

Su Mo patted his head, "What’s there to go separately about? Lead the way, I’ll add an extra pack of cookies."

The promise of an extra pack of cookies was enough for a few days’ treat for the boy, who no longer had any objections and happily said, "Then follow ."

Lu Chen didn’t know what Su Mo was up to, but the ntion of the foot-bath parlor still made him frown.

Who could bother with a legitimate foot-bath in the apocalypse? Was his woman publicly taking him to... a brothel?

The foot-bath parlor was located at the end of the street. Honestly, this whole area was lit with dubious colored lights; most used red or white candles lit in front of their shop, with the dim light revealing many scantily clad won standing around.

This row of four or five stores all had the sign for the foot-bath parlor.

A corner of Su Mo’s eye twitched, "These are all ordinary people, right? Rong Bai actually agreed to let them partner up to open shops?"

The boy, credited as Little Bai Shitong, imdiately explained: "I know this. They used to live in the commoner area, but after saving so Crystal Stones, they opened these shops—it’s because the rent on this street is super cheap."

And indeed, it was super cheap, like only 50 Low-level Crystal Stones, Su Mo thought, touching her chin, "To so extent, this could be considered a stable profession and inco."

Those won, as long as a man took an extra glance at them, would actively approach him, and all it took for the man was to stuff so food and Crystal Stones into their bodice, and he would gain access to the mysterious doors.

For example, right now, all Lu Chen did was casually look around, and several won stepped forward, their eyes shining with anticipation, stating their prices, and so, enticed by his exceptionally handso face, even offered a free visit.

Su Mo listened on the side and wanted to laugh, but to respect the profession and to save the face of the man beside her, who was quickly growing as dark as the bottom of a pot, she opted to purse her lips and assu the role of a jealous wife, shooing those won away.
