Chapter 362: Chapter 361: Postpartum Care for Sows

….

Returning to the mountains, as the sky gradually darkened, knowing of their return, the Empress ordered the Crystal Stone to be brought directly to the doctor.

Upon entering, a baby’s cry filled the air, tightening Jiang Yulian’s gaze.

“May I see the subject to ensure he wakes up unhard?” Li Qian had proactively addressed this request to the Empress.

At that mont, the Empress, still preoccupied with the child in her hands, indifferently said, “Send soone with you.”

“He has been crying all afternoon, this divine gift is indeed troubleso,” the Empress stated from her seat, her face showing no sign of impatience.

Hearing the child cry, Jiang Yulian, unable to bear the raspy little voice any longer, spoke up, “Let try.”

The woman above eyed her sternly, then looked down at the small face in her arms, hesitated for a mont, and agreed, “It’s no use letting him cry on, co here.”

Jiang Yulian, both heartbroken and overjoyed, approached.

Finding comfort in his familiar mother’s embrace, Jiang Zhuoyang, who had been crying hoarsely, finally ceased, bringing an end to the demonic noise that had echoed around the hall all day.

Regarding this, she was sowhat satisfied and looked down at the man kneeling on the ground who had killed his own people, “What is going on here?”

Old Dao stepped forward, explained the reasons behind the situation clearly, and successfully made the Empress and the gathered Heretics drop their faces.

The voices calling for the punishnt of the wrongdoer rose one after another throughout the hall.

The words “Demon Cage” nearly lifted the entire palace roof.

Hearing this, Jianxiong stepped forward and said gruffly, “I will take them now to awaken the subject.”

With his naturally fierce look and demonstrated loyalty to the Empress, she permitted contentedly, as she now had more pressing matters to attend to.

Jianxiong received the original Crystal Stone from Old Dao, and Su Mo and the others followed him out of the hall, pretending to be obedient.

In the so-called laboratory, Su Mo finally understood why the Empress was so confident about them, as there were four or five guards standing outside and caras installed on both sides of the corridor, completely under 360° surveillance with no place to hide.

After expressing their purpose, they were let in, and Jianxiong handed the Crystal Stone to Lu Chen with a look, signaling them to enter while he himself struck up a casual conversation with a nearby heretic.

This was to buy them ti again.

Entering the lab, behind the glass doors were two doctors in white coats surrounding the naked Ling Ye, his body covered with electrodes monitoring his heart, and beside them on an operating table lay a corpse covered with a white sheet, stained with large patches of blood.

As Su Mo saw this, her heart tightened, and as the glass door closed behind her, Li Qian looked around and said, “It’s very clean here.”

Implying that there were no caras inside the laboratory.

Su Mo imdiately stepped forward, “We have brought the Crystal Stone back.”

As she spoke, the doctors’ expressions changed; to Su Mo, they did not seem pleased but rather frightened.

She suddenly understood why Li Qian had co in person, those so-called doctors seed sowhat off.

“Give it to ,” a doctor stepped forward, hands outstretched towards Su Mo.

The Crystal Stone was on Lu Chen as he walked straight to the operation table. Another doctor imdiately ca over to stop him, “What are you doing? Don’t disturb us!”

Lu Chen remained silent, the chill from his body slightly dispersing, which silenced the doctor. When he looked into the man’s phoenix eyes, which were devoid of any emotions, his hair stood on end.

Lu Chen’s gaze moved down and noticed that the heart monitor on Ling Ye was not even turned on. He looked up again at the record book in the doctor’s hands.

He asked, “What are you recording?”

The person in front of him broke into a cold sweat instantly, and with trembling hands, he tried to hide the notebook behind him. Seeing this, Zhao Changsheng took several steps forward and snatched the notebook from his hands, flipping it open.

The doctor, who had been arguing with Su Mo, saw the situation turn against him and imdiately turned his head towards the glass door, intending to call for help. Su Mo’s Tang Blade appeared in her hand, quickly hooking it around his neck. She said with a mischievous smile, “My blade is still very sharp—don’t get hurt.”

The voice that was about to shout out suddenly choked in his throat; the man stood rigid, daring not to move, fearing the blade might cut his neck.

Li Qian asked, “What’s written inside?”

Zhao Changsheng curled his lips and glanced at the doctor sarcastically, “Why don’t you take a look?”

He walked leisurely to Zhao Changsheng, looked at the notebook she was flipping through, and paused, “So you two are veterinarians?”

The notebook was filled with drawings of various animals, even including postpartum care for sows.

It was clearly just for show to outsiders.

Upon hearing the word ‘veterinarians’, Su Mo instantly smacked the hilt of her Tang Blade on the doctor’s head in front of her, causing him to groan in pain and crouch down, yet he dared not make a sound.

Su Mo quickly walked to Ling Ye’s side, her expression tense, “Quickly take these things off; you never know…”

Lu Chen interrupted her, saying indifferently, “Don’t be nervous, the power isn’t even on.”

Startled, Su Mo then cald down. She looked towards a body lying next to her, pinching one corner to gently lift it.

It was the body of an adult male, whole skull smashed to bits, its brain matter scattered across the bed like tofu. Looking further down, one could vaguely see his chest cut open and flayed, exposing the stark white ribs underneath.

It wasn’t a zombie, simply a human body.

Su Mo, suppressing her disgust, covered it again with a white cloth. She turned to address the two almost terrified doctors sternly, “Is this how you treat your patients? If the Empress learns of this, you’ll end up in the Demon Cage.”

“It’s an experint sanctioned by the Empress; we are rely following the divine will,” one doctor said quietly, unable to hide the guilt in his eyes.

“Divine will asked you to perform postpartum care for sows?” Zhao Changsheng threw the notebook to the ground, arms crossed over his chest.

“This…”

The doctors were unsure of the intentions of these new arrivals, but caring for their own lives, they kept repeating they were following divine will.

Lu Chen didn’t bother talking further. He pried open the unconscious Ling Ye’s mouth and was about to feed him the Crystal Stone.

“Wait, wouldn’t it cause problems feeding him directly like this!” One doctor, despite his fear, interrupted.

Lu Chen, without pausing, placed the Crystal Stone directly into Ling Ye’s mouth and pressed down on it.

The mont the Crystal Stone was swallowed, Ling Ye’s body displayed mysterious blue patterns moving across his skin, which drew everyone closer.
