Chapter 361: Chapter 360: Found You

Lu Chen’s superpower surged mightily in his hands, a huge Ice Shield solidly blocked the strike while the Cold Ice Barb swarm once again restricted the prototype’s movents under his precise control.

Jiang Yulian, who had been observing the battle, also occasionally fired a few useless Water Arrows.

Old Dao noticed and gave a wink to the person next to him who was carrying a rocket launcher.

The individual imdiately understood, reloaded the rocket launcher on his shoulder, and aid it at the zombie’s head behind Su Mo.

With one shot, she and the prototype would turn into a bloody ss.

“For the gods, for the new world!” As his words ended, the mont the rocket was fired, Li Qian’s surging spiritual power washed over him like a tidal wave.

The man’s expression turned blank, and suddenly the rocket launcher in his hand switched directions to point at his own people, and the rocket that had been ready to launch was fired.

“What are you doing.. aah!”

“Bang!”

A massive explosion below, showering blood and flesh everywhere.

Jianxiong tightly gripped the prototype from behind and fell to the ground, his body also pressing down on its wing, restraining its movent, “Sister! Quick!”

In the heat of the mont, he inadvertently called Su Mo “sister”.

Su Mo, unconcerned with the mishap there, once again swung her Tang Blade and decapitated the prototype’s head that had finally revealed itself in front of her.

Just as Li Qian had said, the prototype’s head was indeed fragile, and she effortlessly chopped off its head. A burst of murky fluid sprayed out from the neck, soaking the dark soil around it.

Having retracted his superpower, Jianxiong returned to his normal size. He rolled off the prototype, lying on his back gasping for air, his black clothes stained with foul-slling fluid and dirt beyond recognition of its color.

Zhao Changsheng, weakened from the excessive use of her superpower, was slightly unstable, and Li Qian promptly gave her a hand.

“Don’t touch !” Zhao Changsheng tried to shake off his hand from her shoulder, her eyes glaring with resistance.

Li Qian’s eyes darkened for a mont, his hand instead grasped her shoulder even tighter, “Don’t be stubborn, talk after regaining your strength.”

Her steps were weak and without support she really could easily fall to the ground; Zhao Changsheng fell silent for a mont and eventually did not struggle anymore.

On Su Mo’s side, she reached out her hand to help Jianxiong up, but Jianxiong only considered it for a mont, and as soon as he saw Lu Chen approaching, he quickly scrambled up by himself.

Seeing his manner, Su Mo couldn’t help but laugh.

Lu Chen looked Su Mo over from head to toe, only relaxing after confirming she was uninjured.

Over at Old Dao’s side, the heretics that had co with him had five killed by a single rocket fired by one of their own.

The man who fired the rocket was still confused, although Li Qian had already pulled back his superpower.

“What did you just do! How could you kill five Angel Envoys at once!”

“My God, did you betray our deity?!”

“A person like you should be thrown into the Demon Cage to atone for your sins!”

“…”

Jianxiong also gleaned the cause and effect from those conversations. The burly man tried to say sothing in his defense, but before he could open his mouth, Jianxiong, dirty all over, walked over and punched him in the face, his expression fiercely angry, “Why kill your own people!?”

He delivered punch after punch, each with trendous force; the burly man’s jaw was dislocated, and he could only whimper, unable to utter half a word in his defense. The blood flowing from the corners of his mouth fell to the ground.

Surrounding cheers erupted, the only exception was Old Dao, who couldn’t stand it and tugged at him, “Alright, we should take him back for the Empress to interrogate.”

Jianxiong then stopped, and facing Old Dao, said fiercely, “People who betray the gods deserve to die!”

Old Dao patted his robust shoulder and looked past him towards Su Mo, a bit puzzled, “Why did you just call her sister?”

Jianxiong suddenly leaned close and whispered a few words in his ear; Old Dao imdiately dismissed his doubts. When they had still been in City G two days ago, this guy was already eyeing up a woman, probably her.

“Alright, take out the Crystal Stone, and we should leave,” Old Dao mounted his motorcycle again and nodded towards Su Mo and the others.

Jianxiong stepped back a few paces to the side of the car and noticed Zhao Changsheng being half-embraced by Li Qian. His thick lips pursed, a sense of discomfort he couldn’t explain surged from within, recalling the intimacy in the Southern Island Illusion, he quietly turned his head away.

“Ti to go!” he said to Lu Chen.

Su Mo sheathed her Tang Blade and followed Lu Chen into the car.

After Li Qian helped Zhao Changsheng inside the car, Su Mo had Lu Chen fetch so Jasmine Tea for her and Jianxiong, as their superpowers had been the most depleted and naturally needed replenishing.

Su Mo’s gaze swept back and forth between Li Qian and Zhao Changsheng several tis. Their position was indeed suggestive enough to stir thoughts; though strange, it was sowhat expected.

As the superpower in her abdon recovered, Zhao Changsheng’s complexion looked much better. She leaned her head back intending to rest against the seat when discomfort at her neck snapped her back to alertness—Li Qian’s hand was still on her shoulder.

This realization darkened her face, and she turned sullenly to look at Li Qian, who was very close, gritting her teeth, “Could you remove your hand?”

“Sorry, I forgot,” Li Qian withdrew his hand and placed it politely on his own thigh.

Zhao Changsheng then diverted her gaze and leaned back in the seat, breathing a sigh of relief.

As the car started and followed the motorcycle ahead, Li Qian hung his head, slowly turned his palm face up, and stared at it as a slow smile curled at the corners of his mouth.

When he looked up again, his gaze t Jianxiong’s squarely.

He smiled warmly at him, and Jianxiong averted his gaze, feeling an unbearable sensation of catching soone in the act.

An eerie atmosphere gradually perated the carriage. Su Mo leaned against the window, her mind full of thoughts about Ling Ye waking up and how to escape next.

Gradually, she too sensed that sothing was amiss in the atmosphere inside the car.

She turned her head and saw Li Qian still maintaining his gentle deanor, while Zhao Changsheng and Jianxiong both had dark expressions.

Su Mo thought for a mont and broke the awkward silence, “Jianxiong, are those two doctors in the lab reliable?”

Hearing his sister’s question, Jianxiong’s face softened a lot. He said, “I haven’t had much contact with them, but they have been around since I joined this sect. For minor ailnts like colds, these heretics always consult them.”

Su Mo nodded and casually continued the conversation with him, ensuring that the car’s atmosphere wouldn’t freeze over.

“Target searching…”

“Result found…”

“Satellite positioning complete”

A series of chanical sounds ensued, and a map appeared on the screen, zooming in continuously until Su Mo’s face was captured and displayed.

A deep, affectionate voice echoed in the vast lab, “Found you.”
