"Cough, cough!" Ye Wanwan coughed twice and then softly said to Zhouzhou, "Zhouzhou, you must be good and listen in kindergarten, okay? Daddy is busy with work, so Mommy will co to pick you up after school, okay?"

Shen Yi had work and could occasionally pick Zhouzhou up from school when he wasn’t busy, but clearly, it was impossible for him to do it every day.

Therefore, Ye Wanwan planned to set things straight with Zhouzhou early in the morning, to prevent Zhouzhou from being disappointed if he didn’t see Daddy in the afternoon when school was out.

Zhouzhou nodded his head and softly replied, "Okay."

They soon arrived at the kindergarten where Shen Yi and Ye Wanwan walked Zhouzhou to the school gate and handed him over to Teacher Li.

Zhouzhou had just entered the school gate when a child’s voice called out from behind them, "Shen Wenzhou!"

Shen Yi and Ye Wanwan heard it too and instinctively turned their heads to look, then saw the kid nad Xu Kaiyang dash forward like a little cannonball.

Following Xu Kaiyang was a man in a suit and leather shoes, frowning and chiding loudly, "Xu Kaiyang, walk properly, don’t fall again, or your mom will scold when we get ho!"

Xu Kaiyang kept running and waved back over his shoulder, "Bye-bye, Daddy."

After saying that, he dashed into the kindergarten without looking back, pausing for just a few seconds at the entrance to politely greet Teacher Li, "Good morning, Teacher Li!"

Li Xin also smiled and returned the greeting; Xu Kaiyang imdiately ran inside to catch up with Zhouzhou.

Li Xin nodded to Xu Kaiyang’s father from a distance, as a form of greeting.

The man nodded back and, after seeing Shen Yi, showed a slight surprise before nodding again and then leaving.

"Was he greeting you?" Ye Wanwan asked Shen Yi with a puzzled face.

"Mmm, we’ve t before." Shen Yi hadn’t expected to bump into him, but it seed sowhat logical all things considered.

Those who could afford this private kindergarten were either wealthy or noble, so even if they weren’t familiar with one another, they likely moved in the sa circles.

"Look at that kid, pulling Zhouzhou and talking about sothing. He’s not talking about his sister again, is he?" Ye Wanwan hastily tugged at Shen Yi’s arm.

Ye Wanwan had just ntioned Xu Kaiyang’s father, and in the blink of an eye, she saw Xu Kaiyang catching up with Zhouzhou inside the kindergarten. They stopped, and Xu Kaiyang seed to be animatedly saying sothing to Zhouzhou.

Shen Yi couldn’t help but smile, "It’s about ti, I should head to the office."

Upon hearing this, Ye Wanwan turned to leave with Shen Yi but kept looking back, her face full of worry, "What if Zhouzhou keeps asking for a little sister?"

"Get him a doll." Shen Yi joked.

Ye Wanwan raised her hand and playfully slapped Shen Yi.

anwhile, inside the kindergarten, Xu Kaiyang was telling Zhouzhou, "My little sister cried this morning, and she didn’t want to go to kindergarten."

Zhouzhou was taken aback. Hearing "little sister cried" made him feel sowhat helpless, even though it wasn’t his own sister.

If his little sister also cried and didn’t let him go to kindergarten later, then he, then he...

Then he surely wouldn’t go to kindergarten anymore.

Zhouzhou looked at Xu Kaiyang and, frowning, asked sowhat unhappily, "Then why did you still co to kindergarten?"

Xu Kaiyang sighed deeply, then said with an air of being grown-up, "Of course I had to co to kindergarten!"
