785 Magical Pill
“Let’s go,” Yao Tang said as she glanced at the car beside her. “I’ll get the car, and we’ll head to the Music Association first.”
Hearing that she wanted to drive, President Tan was quick to stop her.
She had just co of age this year. Although they were in a deserted area, he was still worried about her driving into a more populated place. After all, once they head back to the city, the streets wouldn’t be as empty as this one.
It would be terrible if sothing had happened.
“You drive!”
President Tan glanced over at his son. “Can’t you do sothing clever for once?”
“Oh, right.”
Tan Jian pouted. “You know, I feel like you just keep bringing around because you need soone to drive for you. I’m not your driver, you know.”
He spent the last hour trying to protect his father with a baseball bat.
Now, he was calling him stupid.
He really had a hard life.
“Why don’t you tell how you discovered your power earlier? Why didn’t you tell you have it? Do you know how much I’ve been beaten up? Even my back hurts!” Tan Jian protested as they made their way to the car.
“Do you really consider as your son?”
Even then, the young man still had a wide smile on his face. At the sight of all the bodies lying around, surrounding them, he couldn’t help but be a little proud of themselves.
He really couldn’t believe that they survived this entire ordeal.
President Tan chuckled. “I just awakened my power now,” he admitted. “I didn’t have this type of ability before. In fact, I didn’t even know I was capable of doing this. Do you really think I’d allow myself to be beaten up into a pulp if I knew?”
His son frowned in disbelief.
So, his father had just beco powerful overnight?
He obviously wasn’t telling him anything.
Even then, Tan Jian sighed and turned around.
“Tangtang, what do you want to do about the people on the ground?”
If they were scattered around here, wouldn’t they be exposed?
After all, the other party didn’t know that the people they were bringing over were like this. If they knew, then they certainly wouldn’t be willing to proceed with the exchange.
If they were discovered, it would all be over.
The people on the ground were either dead or heavily injured. Although they didn’t have much combat power, it wouldn’t be good to leave them here.
Yao Tang walked in President Tan’s direction and handed him a pill. “It’s to replenish your strength,” she insisted. “Take it. We still have a long way to go.”
The older man followed her commands.
The dicinal fragrance wafted all around him as he swallowed it down.
From its lustrous shade, it obviously wasn’t an ordinary item.
After that, Yao Tang glanced in Tan Jian’s direction. “This is a remote area,” she said casually. “No one will co here, so we can just leave them be.”
He nodded in response.
She was right.
There was no one here. At this point, as long as they were able to keep things the way they were, no one would even notice them.
At the thought of this, Tan Jian and President Tan worked together to lift Elder Nie up from the ground and place him at the back of the car.
The old man struggled under their grip for a bit.
However, as he didn’t have much strength left, it was useless to struggle. It took a lot of effort to get him to the back. As soon as they did so, they breathed a sigh of relief.
“Hey, where’s Tangtang?”
Tan Jian furrowed his eyebrows as he turned around.
President Tan also looked behind him.
On the other side of the field, Yao Tang had just stabbed a couple of hooligans who were planning to escape. She sliced through their tendons, making them unable to walk.
He even poked holes in the tires of their cars to prevent them from driving off.
That way, it would be impossible for them to leak any information.
Yao Tang walked to the modified car that Elder Nie was seated in and headed to the driver’s seat. On that ti, she was finally able to start the car.
Tan Jian glanced to the side, widening his eyes when he saw that his father appeared much paler than before. Under the sunlight, he looked like a ghost.
“Dad, what’s wrong?”
He asked anxiously, scanning him from head to toe. “Are you injured?”
He had to bandage it if he was.
Otherwise, he might develop an infection!
