786 Change of Plans
President Tan shook his head slowly. “I’m fine. It’s probably my first ti using my power, so I must’ve exhausted myself,” he said. “Don’t worry about .”
He thought of the pill that Yao Tang had given him.
As if by magic, his body started to feel warm all over. He took a deep breath, feeling as if his strength and energy were returning to him.

However, they never really placed much importance on it.
All these years, the Green Cloud Pavilion had stayed under their radar. Everyone thought that they’ve been destroyed long ago, but they never thought that they’d have the gall to kidnap one of their own.
They were all furious, but they were also afraid.
How powerful were they to be able to harm Elder Chen?

Deng Hai slowly shook his head. His face darkened. “I’ve already given them our conditions, and they look like they’re about to agree, but...I didn’t think...”

“We have to be more careful. We can’t let them take advantage of our state,” he slowly said. “We can’t afford to lose more people in the Cabinet.”
Elder Wang froze.
He was right.
Since Elder Yao had disappeared, the Inner Pavilion was in shambles. It was as if they have lost their very foundation, and they were starting to see the cracks.
