Chapter 840: Chapter 851: Midnight Fright (Part 2)

"I..."

Sienna Johnson was full. She picked up a piece of flounder and stuffed it into Melanie Carpenter’s mouth, saying, "You talk a lot. Aren’t you hungry? Try the fish you made."

Melanie Carpenter had fish in her mouth. The fish was cooked so tender that it practically melted as soon as it entered her mouth.

"Is it good?" Sienna Johnson watched Melanie’s face change, smiling, "It looks delicious, come and have another piece."

Sienna picked up another piece of fish, attempting to stuff it into Melanie’s mouth. Melanie covered her mouth, suddenly stood up, knocked over the bowls and plates in front of her, and then ran out.

Sienna threw the chopsticks in her hand to the ground, her face instantly darkened!

"Did she poison the fish?" Adrian Desmond asked.

"Yes." Sienna looked at Adrian, a mocking tone in her voice, "She keeps saying she loves you, but now it seems her love doesn’t withstand the test at all. Look, she can’t get you, so she wants to poison you."

Adrian sneered, "When she still had the title of Mrs. Desmond, she couldn’t resist cheating. How could such a woman truly love me?"

Don’t blame him for neglecting her; if you truly love someone, you wouldn’t betray them. Just like years ago, when Sienna disappeared for several years, he still hadn’t touched another woman.

"It’s good you’ve seen her true colors. Saves you from being confused by her."

Adrian chuckled lightly, his charming eyes filled with laughter as he flirted with Sienna, "The only woman who can confuse me is you!"

"Then you better behave in the future."

"Okay, I’ll listen to you in everything."

"..."

"What about this plate of fish?" Adrian asked.

"I heard from the gardener that there are quite a few rats in the back garden, so let’s use this plate of fish as rat poison to kill the rats."

Adrian: ...

...

After dinner, Sienna called Sabrina Conner and Barnes Smythe in and assigned them a special task.

"...I see you two are quite free, so I’m giving you a job.

Tonight, catch fifty rats for me and put them in Melanie Carpenter’s room. Remember, make sure Melanie’s room windows are shut tight..." Sienna instructed.

Sabrina looked exasperated, "Madam, you’re quite mischievous. Does Sixth Master know?"

"He’s busy with his own affairs, probably can’t handle the issues with his little cousin anymore."

Barnes asked, "What if someone gets hurt?"

"If someone gets bitten to death by rats, do I need to be responsible? If responsibility is needed, let them go after the rats!"

Sienna’s gaze turned sinister, making Sabrina’s heart skip a beat.

He knew this woman had a heart like a snake and scorpion.

"Madam, don’t you think this is too vicious? Even if they aren’t bitten, they could be scared to death."

"To good people, we should be gentle; to enemies, we should be like a harsh winter, cruel and ruthless." Sienna recited a classic quote from a certain leader.

"Madam, isn’t having us do this sort of work a bit of a waste of talent?" Sabrina said.

Sienna looked Sabrina up and down. Sabrina was dressed in a very hip-hop style, covered in studs, giving the impression she was into rock music.

"It seems my words don’t work, so I’ll let Adrian talk to you."

Sienna brought up Adrian, and Barnes knew that even if Adrian came, the result would be the same, so he said,

"Madam, we’ll do it right away."

"Mila, you’re always the most likable. I’ll say nice things about you to Sixth Master." Sienna looked at Barnes with satisfaction, while Sabrina was sulking.

When did Mila become such a sycophant?

"Thank you, Madam!"

"Go on now."

...

At midnight, everything was silent, even the insects in the garden seemed to have quieted down considerably.

Suddenly, "Ah..." A woman’s scream startled Adrian awake.

His eyes opened abruptly in the dim room. He instinctively checked the woman beside him and found her sleeping soundly, allowing his heart to settle down.

He glanced at the clock on the bedside table, 1:39 AM.

Adrian had only just fallen asleep, now rudely awoken by the woman’s scream.

"Where are you going?" Sienna asked.

Sienna had actually been awake for some time. Seeing Adrian put on his clothes to get up, she couldn’t continue pretending to sleep.

"I heard a woman screaming; it seemed like Melanie Carpenter. I’m going to check what happened."

Sienna listened carefully and indeed heard Melanie screaming like a pig being slaughtered. A secret smile spread across Sienna’s lips.

She looked at Adrian and said, "What screaming? Go to sleep!"

"I swear I heard Melanie’s voice."

"You heard wrong."

"Didn’t you hear anything?" Adrian was uncertain now.

"Sixth Master, you were poisoned and now you’re hearing things. It’s probably a side effect of the poisoning.

I heard nothing; you should sleep. Tomorrow, let Reggie Dewey and the others check you out. At this rate, I’m worried your head might get damaged."

Sienna listened to each painful scream without a trace of sympathy in her heart.

You reap what you sow!

Sienna would no longer show mercy to her enemies.

...

"Help... rats, so many rats..."

Vivian Abbey arrived in an unfamiliar place, already a light sleeper, and was startled awake by a scream.

"Brett... Brett..."

Brett Jacobs slowly opened his eyes, looked at Vivian, and asked, "What’s wrong?"

"Didn’t you hear a woman screaming?"

"No!"

"How is that possible?" Vivian broke out in a cold sweat. She heard it very clearly.

"Sleep! If you’re not tired, we can continue!"

Vivian immediately became obedient; below, she was burning with pain, and even a slight movement hurt. She couldn’t bear it anymore.

But Vivian couldn’t sleep. She timidly looked at the antiquated house, such old houses usually had some... uncleanliness...

Could it be haunted?

"Ah..." The wind blew, casting a shadow on the carved window, and Vivian screamed out loud.
