Chapter 819: Chapter 839: Peacock

"Sienna, your brother has come to see you." Wayne Manning didn’t want to leave, shouting loudly into the room.

"..."

"Brother, I also brought you some delicious cake." Wayne Manning’s tone was like coaxing a na??ve little girl.

Adrian Desmond went to open the door and didn’t return for a long time. Sienna Johnson was curious who had arrived; seeing Wayne Manning, she was also surprised.

"Peacock?"

"Peacock? Haha, are you talking about me? When did I change my name?"

"In my eyes, you’re just a peacock strutting around showing off."

Wayne Manning wasn’t angry at all. "In your eyes, it seems I’m even more handsome than Adrian Desmond." Wayne Manning looked at Adrian Desmond’s scowling face. "Buddy, don’t be jealous of me. I can’t help looking handsome."

Adrian Desmond’s dark eyes narrowed slightly, his lips pressed tightly together. Wayne Manning took the opportunity to walk inside.

"How did you find your way here?"

They were staying at the Friendship Hotel, just on a whim. How did this man know?

"Himakati-Mandanila is my domain. You’re in my territory. What’s so strange about me finding my way here?"

Since he chased us here, he must have serious business to discuss. Sienna Johnson put away her sketchbook and said, "Are you here to talk business with Adrian Desmond? Do you need me to step aside?"

"I’m not here to talk business today. I’m here to invite you both out. Mandanila has lots of fun places. What are you doing cooped up in the hotel?"

"I don’t want to go. You go have fun with Adrian Desmond." Sienna Johnson said uninterested.

"Aren’t you afraid I’ll take Adrian Desmond to a place of scandalous pleasures? Mandanila produces women as alluring as poppies."

"..."

"Haha, you’re pregnant now, right? Adrian Desmond must feel stifled."

Sienna Johnson looked up at Adrian Desmond, not knowing if it was a guilty conscience. Adrian Desmond couldn’t shake the feeling she looked towards his lower region, wondering if she had guessed, knowing he’s no longer capable.

Adrian Desmond felt utterly defeated.

"I trust my husband!"

"Haha, haven’t you heard the saying? Men can’t control what’s between their legs." Wayne Manning said, trying to sow discord.

Sienna Johnson continued drawing, without looking up, "Then take him out, test his loyalty for me. If he can’t pass, let me know, and I’ll kick him out."

"Adrian Desmond, did you hear what your wife said? Come on, let me test you and see if you can really withstand the temptation."

"Can you take care of yourself?" Adrian Desmond asked, worried.

Having gone through so much, Adrian Desmond wished he could keep her at his side to feel at ease.

"If you’re worried, leave a few more people with me."

"I’ll leave Marion and Barnes Smythe to accompany you. I’ll try to return early. If I come back late, don’t wait up for me, just sleep."

Adrian Desmond instructed gently, looking at Sienna Johnson as if she were an innocent daughter, rather than his wife.

Wayne Manning looked speechless at Adrian Desmond, who had become so nitpicky it seemed unmanly. "Adrian Desmond, won’t your wife find you annoying like this?"

Adrian Desmond turned to glare at Wayne Manning, "None of your business!"

...

The Mandanila "Treburg" isn’t as large as famed casinos like Vegasville, but being a lawless area draws wealthy gamblers who prefer anonymity.

There are five floors; the first to third floors are regular entertainment places with traditional gambling games, minimal stakes.

The fourth floor caters to the typical rich, while the fifth is for rivals with grudges, betting with their lives. The sixth floor is a mysterious area, not open to the public, serving only a few people.

Wayne Manning was one of those few.

Wayne Manning and Adrian Desmond stood on the sixth floor, overlooking the stage where an SM game was ongoing. A woman in revealing leather clothing, on very high heels, heavily made-up, wielded a small whip, striking a man.

Money, beauty, and drugs, this is a paradise of vice.

Wayne Manning handed Adrian Desmond a cigarette. Adrian Desmond smelled it and sensed something was wrong, throwing it back to Wayne Manning.

"I don’t do drugs!"

"Just marijuana."

Wayne Manning smoked one, exhaling smoke rings, while Adrian Desmond smelled it, recalling how his clothes would reek when he returned, then domineeringly snatched it, tossing it in the trash.

"You’re really controlling."

"Is it convenient to talk here?" Adrian Desmond asked seriously.

"Only the two of us are on the sixth floor."

The music changed, the stage suddenly darkened, a spotlight abruptly focused on a woman. A Bonraca beauty in barely-there leather swung a whip, hitting a Southeast Agaia man, instantly lacerating his skin.
