Just so ti before they arrived, Alpha Mitch had been in study waiting.
According to the last call he had with Boston they should be here soon.
"Mitch!" Adriana called from beside him.
He had no idea when she got inside and her folded arms showed how upset she was.
"What?" He asked non chalantly. As he looked away from her.
Another knock sounded on the door and the Alpha responded.
But in a split second Adriana did an unexpected act.
Hugging him around the waist, she kissed him on the lips.
Her frustration has grown these past days and all her attempts to seduce him had been futile.
She thought getting rid of the Oga would get the job done but there was no difference.
He doesn’t pay her any attention anymore.
Even if he let her co and go as she pleases but he had no interest in her which was annoying.
And today she planned to make him spend the night with her no matter what.
Soone cleared their throat and Alpha Mitch pushed her aside, disgust written on his face. And he wiped at his lips.
He looked towards the door and realised that Tristan had arrived.
Adriana also looked at the direction of the door angrily.
"That filthy oga!" She thought angrily.
The entire room fell into total silence.
Tristan suddenly felt smaller than he is, he wasn’t sure what he would et while coming here but it’s certainly not the Alpha being intimate with another person.
He turned around and wanted to walk out of the door but he was suddenly held by the hand and partially dragged away.
His feet struggled to keep up as he was suddenly pulled into a room and the door was shut.
Tristan brazed himself expecting him to lash out but once heard his soft voice he looked up at him.
"Why are you here?" Alpha Mitch asked in a firm voice.
He looked at the Oga with blank expression as he slled that scent on him again.
It was as if his pheromones had mixed with another Alpha’s and that was ssing with his composure.
"I...
Tristan trailed off as he looked down at his hands, a strand of hair fell over his face.
He suddenly felt smaller in front of the Alpha and wished there was sowhere he could hide from his unwavering gaze and cold eyes.
Alpha Mitch’s jaw clenched as he waited for him to explain, he could rembered that morning he insisted to leave like it was yesterday.
"I currently have no other place to stay. I want to –
Tristan lied smoothly.
"I never asked you to leave in the first place. You subjected yourself to that suffering, and didn’t you have a new Alpha?" Alpha Mitch asked, his voice cold and detached.
Tristan remained silent, he had been expecting the outburst so he rely stood with his head suspended and waited for him to say all he wanted to say to him.
But aside from what he was saying, he found it hard to erase what he just saw from his mind.
"There is nothing between us, we are friends". Tristan replied and raised his gaze to et his’.

Tristan was glad to et his maid again but she had a strange look on her face as she helped him carry his bag into the room.
She secretly stared at him with a frown.
But her lips remained sealed.
The room was almost as he left it, his things were still in the closet and everything was tidy.
He wanted nothing more than to drag himself to bed and sleep but he had to spend so ti around the Alpha.
A few hours each day should be enough, he deduced.
Dinner was served and he walked inside the dining room hoping to see the Alpha but t Adriana instead.
She scoffed loudly as he took a seat far away from her.
He waited to be served and carefully ignored her piercing eyes.
"What the hell are you here for?" Adriana asked suddenly, dropping the spoon she held loudly on her plate and it made a loud sound and startled Tristan.
He closed his eyes briefly and turned his attention to his food.
Soone walked in and they both looked up.
Tristan watched with disappointnt as the Alpha acted like he wasn’t present and went to sit at the head of the table.
"I was waiting for you". Adriana crooned and moved to a seat close to him.
Alpha Mitch looked up from his food and noticed that Tristan was rely picking at his food.
But oblivious of his gaze, Tristan could not eat the food properly as sothing in the food was making him nauseous.
The feeling got unbearable that he stood up and walked out as his throat threatened to unload the little he had eaten.
He made it to his room before he doubled over into the basin in the bathroom.
His stomach wrenched violently and after a few minutes he was back to normal.
He looked up at his reflection in the mirror and sighed.
He looked too pale and thinner than he last rembered.
It was as if his body was slowly giving up but there was still a long ti before it ended.
"A glass of warm milk would help, should I get one for you". A voice said from behind him and he looked up sharply.
His maid smiled at his surprised expression and his pitiful large eyes.
"I had seen you hurry out of the dining room so I thought to follow you.
The food served was simple and easy on the stomach but it only confird my suspicion as many pregnant people can’t stand the sll of garlic". She explained, her eyes softening with affection.
"I would assu the Alpha isn’t aware?" She asked and moved to hand him so paper towel.
Tristan looked at the paper towel and thought of denying her suspicion but having soone like her that’s aware would really help him so he changed his mind.
"He doesn’t like much, I don’t think telling him would be a good idea". Tristan replied in a hoarse voice.
