When Nico shielded the garages, deia thought of sothing. If the Space Pocket can store any item, doesn’t that an deia can store the tanks as well?
[Yes, Host! You are, in fact, able to store the tanks.]
[However, due to the large size, one tank will be equal to three space items].
Three wasn’t a bad number.
The number of tanks in Warstock Base was about 20 or so, so deia would only use 60 out of 1,000 capacity items.
However, how could she store those tanks when there were other people around?
Should she say that she had another ability? But it would be so annoying if she got other useful items in the future and lied about her abilities again.
"Hey, Tian, Simon, you can go out with Joy first. Take a nap in the car or sothing, because I want to explore this place again to make sure nothing useful is missed," deia said suddenly.
Tian, "We can help you explore the place."
deia smiled and pretended to be a nice lady. "No, that’s okay. You have been guarding this place for two days and must not have rested well."
Tian’s eyebrows furrowed because it was not usual for deia to speak to others with such a gentle intonation.
But since what she said was true, Tian didn’t think much of it. "Okay, we’ll wait outside then."
"C-can I wait outside too?" Nico pulled at the hem of her shirt. "I don’t want to explore this place."
"No, you stay here," deia replied quickly.
Nico wanted to run, but deia held his coat so tightly that he couldn’t even take five steps away from her.
"Shield the gate," deia ordered Nico. "Don’t ask questions."
Nico did as she said as soon as Tian and the others walked through the base.
"What’s going on?" asked Lucian, confused. "Do you have to do sothing you don’t want them to see?"
deia approached Lucian and touched her necklace. "I just got an interesting magical device," she explained, "This tiny crystal on the necklace can store anything with a capacity of 1,000 items."
Lucian lowered his head and looked directly at the white crystal, which reflected different colors when exposed to sunlight.
He looked confused, wondering where deia could get such useful items, but he decided not to ask. "You don’t want anyone to know about this thing, do you?"
deia nodded. "Others might try to steal it if they knew what it was for." She continued, "That’s why I don’t want anyone else to know about it except you."
Lucian shifted his gaze to Nico, making the boy nervous. "I-I promise to keep my mouth shut forever!"
"Oh, don’t worry about him." deia waved her hands nonchalantly. "Bear trusts the boy, so I’ll trust him too."
Lucian chuckled. "Really? You trust soone based on my dog’s judgnt?"
"Yes! Because he’s a good boy." deia scratched Bear’s neck, getting the dog excited. "And will do anything to protect his mama."
Now she was Bear’s mama.
Lucian suspected that one day Bear would abandon him completely because he liked deia more than him.
"Alright, let’s clear this base now!" said deia enthusiastically.
She walked around the garage, inspecting each tank before storing it in her tiny crystal.
One by one, the massive tanks disappeared into the crystal. When she was finished, she had stored a total of 23 tanks, 35 jeeps, and 4 twelve-wheelers that seed to take up 2 slots each.
[Space pocket capacity: 112/1,000]
deia let out a satisfied sigh because she still had so much capacity left. "I think I’ve already stored all the vehicles here."
Fortunately, Tian had taken out a truck, so she didn’t have to enter the garage after that.
Nico watched in awe, his fear imdiately turning into a sense of curiosity. "How does that work? The tanks and trucks are huge and the crystal is so small!"
deia casually replied, "Magic, of course. You wouldn’t understand even if I explained it to you." She ruffled his hair playfully. "Now, co on. Let’s check out the rest of the base. We can grab their dical equipnt and clothes while we’re at it."
A few days ago, they had decided to leave the dical equipnt at the base until the dical bay in Red Canyon was ready. But now that deia could store everything in her Space Pocket, there was no reason to leave anything behind at Warstock Base.
The truth was, that deia didn’t want to set foot in the Warstock base again. Every corner of the place reminded her of the victims of the experints conducted there, and the thought weighed heavily on her.
"Winter is coming, so let’s make it a priority to collect their winter clothing and equipnt," Lucian suggested.
They moved quickly through the base, grabbing whatever supplies they could find. deia led the way, her flashlight illuminating the storerooms filled with winter gear.
The shelves held folded winter coats, rows of boots, and many thick blankets.
"This should be enough for everyone back in Red Canyon," deia said, tucking another pile of blankets into her space bag.
"What should we say if they ask when we’re taking this stuff?" asked Lucian.
deia said, "For the winter clothes, just tell them we got them from Richard. But for everything else, I want to build a secret storage room for the military vehicles and other things we’ve collected."
That way, her Space Pocket wouldn’t fill up so quickly, and she’d have the flexibility to store more items in the future.
"I can make it for you." Lucian leaned in closer and whispered, "Maybe build it underground so no one else has access."
The Stormclad base already had a basent, so Lucian could modify it to make it larger and seal off all entry points for added security.
deia nodded. "That sounds perfect. We’ll need to be as discreet as possible. No one can know what we have in there."
She would only bring out those deadly tanks and other things in case of ergency. Even though she planned to build the base for many people, it didn’t an that she would neglect her own safe place.
Humans were unpredictable. Therefore, deia had to prepare for the worst-case scenario.
After they had gathered all the useful things, they left the base and covered the whole base with Nico’s shield.
"We’re ready to go." deia knocked on the car window to wake up Tian and Simon, who had accidentally fallen asleep in the car.
