Chapter 1084: The current situation of the Flaming Crane Clan.
“Hey, hey, don’t fall in love with me, it was just a joke,” Idan told Elira through a mental link, noticing her embarrassment and trying to avoid misunderstandings.
Elder Silas’s face darkened, and Elder Elena’s eyes twinkled with slyness.
“What do you think of our Elira, Mr. Ignis?” asked Elena.
“Well, I have only good impressions about her,” Idan admitted.
“And that’s it? Only a good impression?” Elena looked at him in surprise.
“What else could it be?” Idan tilted his head and hurried to add, “I’m not interested in her as a partner, I already have an equally beautiful wife whom I love with all my heart.”
Elira, who knew and understood all this, still felt sad when she heard Idan’s words. But most of all, she felt awkward from the fact that all this was happening in front of many curious members of her own clan.
Elder Elena also frowned now.
“Okay, let’s get down to business,” Idan suggested, realizing that the beginning of the conversation had not gone well.
“Elira said that you wanted to meet with me.”
From this short conversation, Silas and Elena realized that they were facing a difficult man. Even though he was standing in front of two Diamond-ranked beings, he didn’t show any excitement or fear at all.
They kept in mind Elira’s warning that this man was strong on his own, not to mention that there were beings behind him who were even stronger than the lords of their own world.
“Elira told me that it was you who helped her achieve the Diamond Rank. Is that true?” asked Silas, getting straight to the point, just as Idan had asked.
“Well, you can assume that,” he replied. In fact, it was Arabel who helped Elira get into Limbo and then into the Lava Lake as a reward for helping Elira heal him.
“Then the next question is, do you have the opportunity to help other members of our clan reach the Diamond rank?”
All the young Flaming Cranes present here visibly perked up after hearing this exciting question.
“Let’s say that the force I belong to actually has this capability.”
Idan did not explicitly state that they have such an opportunity.
“The question is, what can the Flaming Crane Clan offer in exchange?”
Silas and Elena exchanged glances and started a conversation using their Soul Force.
“Mr. Ignis, may I ask if Elira has already told you about her clan and its current situation?” Elena asked when she and Silas finished their conversation.
Silas didn’t look particularly pleased, but he didn’t stop Elena.
“Elira mentioned that your clan, the Flaming Cranes, is part of the middle circle of the Golden Fire Faction,” Idan replied, turning to Elira. “However, she did not specify the details, in particular about the position of your clan in your World of Fire.”
“Yes, as Elira said, our clan is indeed in the middle circle,” Elena confirmed. “And as a mid-range clan, we are limited in Diamond-grade resources.”
“In other words, there are no Diamond—grade resources in the middle circle,” Silas interjected. “All the high-quality resources are concentrated in the inner circle, under the rule of Ancient powerful clans that have monopolized these resources and pletely control the strength of medium-sized clans like ours.”
Silas, like the other elders, did not like this kind of control from the Ancient Clans. However, they were powerless to change anything, as these clans possessed great power, and there were Rank 6 creatures behind them.
As soon as Silas finished, Elena glanced at him and continued:
“The Council of the Golden Fire Faction from the inner circle is in full control of the middle circle. They only provide a limited number of high-quality resources to clans like ours, although they take most of the resources of the middle circle.”
“Because of this, there are only five to seven Diamond-ranked creatures in mid-range clans like ours.”
“In our case, besides our ancestor and the two of us, there are only three other Diamond-ranked elders in our clan.”
“There is only six Diamond — ranked creatures in the entire clan?”
Elena nodded affirmatively and turned her gaze to Elira.
“Until Elira suddenly appeared, who, with your help, achieved the desired Diamond Rank for many members of the clan.”
“On the one hand, it made us happy, because our clan still has a chance. But at the same time, her success can be fatal for us,” Elena’s voice became serious.
Idan quickly realized what the threat was, given everything he had learned.
“If the ancient clans from the inner circle find out about this, they won’t leave the Flaming Crane Clan alone. They may even see you as a threat to themselves and destroy your clan.”
“That’s right,” Elena nodded.
Meanwhile, Silas, seeing that the young man was smart enough, softened slightly.
“Now that you know about our clan’s situation, we would like to offer you a deal.”
Elena pointed at Elira.
“We ask you to shelter Elira and some other members of our clan, as well as help them reach the Diamond Rank.”
The young Flaming Cranes became agitated and began to exchange glances with each other.
“In return, our clan will bee your ally and will provide all possible assistance in the form of some resources and information.”
“In addition, you will be able to mand our clan members, including Elira, and receive support from them.”
After listening to Elena’s suggestion, Idan thought about it. He had more or less realized the situation the Flaming Cranes were in.
By offering a deal, they are not only taking risks, but also trying to get out of the difficult situation they find themselves in. Not only them, but all beings from the five worlds must realize how unique the Earth is. In a year or two, it may bee a threat to their own worlds, and, consequently, global expansion will soon begin in order to gain a foothold on Earth.
“The ancient clans are unlikely to allow the clans of the middle circle to bee stronger. They will continue to suppress them and perhaps even intentionally weaken them by sending them to war with other factions or forces.”
He looked up and met Elena’s gaze, waiting for his decision. However, Idan was in no hurry to accept the offer right away. Instead, he decided to clarify the details.:
“What resources and information are your clan willing to provide?”
“We can offer a variety of materials from our world, except for those that are intended for cultivation, as there are not so many of them,” Elena replied. “As for information, we are ready to share the location of the gates, routes, and more, including the future plans of the Golden Fire Faction and possibly other factions.”
It was a tempting offer for Idan. Having an informant among potential enemies was much more profitable than kidnapping someone every time and reading their memories in search of information.
“Frankly speaking, I was interested in your offer,” Idan confessed. “But how will we formalize this deal? I don’t think you’ll take my word for it, but I don’t want to risk attracting potential Trojan horses to my ranks. So what are we going to do? Should we sign a contract or something else?”
“The Soul Contract”,” Silas said.
Although he still didn’t like the idea, especially in the absence of their Ancestor, he was aware that if they didn’t do something, the situation in their clan would not improve, and perhaps even get worse.
“A Soul Contract?” — Idan was very familiar with this type of contract. “Okay, then let’s get started.”
