Chapter 383: Chapter 382: Breaking into the Base

Heather calmly said, "Do you really want to storm the vampire base? It’s not as simple as you think!"

Ye Fan replied, "I know. It’s a suicide mission. There are stronger Blood Ancestors there, and even the Bloodline Ancestor! I’m not confident I can even take on a single Blood Ancestor, let alone the Bloodline Ancestor. Even the combined forces of several princes would overwhelm ! But I still have to do this!"

Ye Fan’s attitude was resolute; once he made a choice, he rarely changed his mind.

At that mont, Heather asked him, "Why?"

"Because the ones I love are there. They’re about to beco food for the Bloodline Ancestor. So, even if it ans death, I must press on!"

"You’re so foolish!" Heather said.

Ye Fan admitted, "Indeed, I am foolish, perhaps even naive. But for their sake, I am willing to die! Maybe your cold blood prevents you from understanding such feelings!"

After he spoke, Heather froze, seemingly pondering his words.

Then, Ye Fan said to her, "Get so rest. We have to keep moving tomorrow. To spare you any trouble, you can leave once we reach the outskirts of the vampire base."

Heather reflected on Ye Fan’s words, unconvinced. Why does cold blood have to an a lack of emotion?

The next day, Ye Fan stood in the dense forest, gazing at the enormous, solitary peak towering within it. It’s so imnse it takes my breath away. But why haven’t modern technologies in the Secular World detected this mountain? This must be the work of the Vampire Clan. In the Divine Land, many powerful Sects live right under our noses, yet they seem isolated from the world, their presence almost completely unnoticed by people in modern cities. It’s all thanks to Arrays—mysterious Arrays.

He proceeded with Heather toward the outskirts of the vampire base, where the air grew thick with an almost suffocating scent of blood.

He told Heather, "Thank you for guiding

these past few days. You can leave now."

Heather responded, "You’re not familiar with the routes here. Let

lead the way."

Ye Fan understood her intentions. "Thank you for your kindness, but if others saw us, wouldn’t that cause a misunderstanding? The Vampire Clan would definitely not tolerate you!"

"It’s fine. I won’t let them find out!"

Ye Fan didn’t know how to respond, so he just said, "Alright, then co with !"

The power within the vampire base was terrifying. By Ye Fan’s estimate, the base was guarded by no fewer than tens of thousands of the Blood Clan’s elite Martial Artists. It was a frightening number. With these vampires stationed in layers across the Blood Clan Holy Mountain, not even a fly could hope to get through.

He was so focused on the Blood Clan’s defenses ahead that he completely missed the change in Heather behind him.

The two continued forward. Heather was surprisingly familiar with the area. Ye Fan couldn’t understand how she knew it so well, but under her guidance, they managed to slip past the defenses of those tens of thousands of vampires.

It was only then, as he looked at Heather, that he realized he couldn’t see through her strength. This shocked him greatly. When he first t her, her power had been average at best; in his eyes, she was no more than an ant. By the second day, however, Heather possessed the strength of a King. Now, after she had drunk his blood last night, even he couldn’t see through her cultivation realm. The thought was undeniably terrifying.

Could she be a high-ranking vampire? But that doesn’t seem right. If she were really part of the vampire high command, Prince Greedy Blade wouldn’t have beaten her half to death. Perhaps she’s just the woman of so Blood Ancestor... to put it bluntly, a plaything. That would explain why she’s so familiar with this place.

At that mont, Ye Fan said to her, "You should go back now! It’s too dangerous ahead!"

He didn’t want to get Heather involved. Even though she was a mber of the Blood Clan, and her life or death ant little to him, she had helped him this far. His conscience would trouble him if sothing happened to her.

Heather said, "Just ahead is the underground level of the Blood Clan Holy Mountain. All the prisoners and the Blood Clan’s important research facilities are located there! If I don’t guide you, you’ll never find the way! There are one hundred and eight tunnels below, and only two specific abandoned ones lead safely to the prison!"

Hearing this, Ye Fan didn’t refuse. With so many tunnels, he would be lucky to not get lost himself, let alone find Luo Yazhi and the others. If he didn’t get lost, he would inevitably run into Blood Clan experts. There was no good option. Because of this, he followed Heather into a tunnel.

The underground level was vast. Vampires loved the dark, and this was their Heaven. Indeed, there were one hundred and eight tunnels, their entrances heavily guarded by Blood Clan sentries. This place was clearly critical.

Ye Fan knocked out two guards in the darkness. He and Heather changed into their clothes and successfully entered one of the tunnels.

A frigid wind gusted through the passage, sending a chill down his spine. Ye Fan figured the Blood Ancestors must also reside in this underground level.

Suddenly, a sound echoed from up ahead.

"Run!" Heather yelled, pulling Ye Fan along as they fled.

She ran in front, and Ye Fan followed closely behind. It was water—a huge torrent ca rushing toward them.

Just as it was about to overtake them, he spotted a passageway above. In that critical mont, Ye Fan grabbed Heather and threw her up toward it.

"Get up there!" he roared.

He was about to leap up himself, but it was too late. The massive current slamd into him, washing him away. Amidst the swirling waters, Ye Fan was dizzy and disoriented, with nothing to grab onto. Even if there had been a foothold, the force of the water was too powerful for him to stand.

When the water finally subsided, Ye Fan was dizzy. This was definitely a torturous day. Thankfully, this isn’t a sewer. The stench would have been sothing else...

But one thing was certain: he and Heather were separated. How frustrating. Now, he would have to rely on himself. He groped his way forward alone through the endless darkness.

Suddenly, he saw a light ahead, which seed to co from candles. As Ye Fan walked forward, a few bats flew over his head. Several vampires burst from the shadows, charging him.

WHOOSH!

Ye Fan was quick with his sword. With a single swing, the vampires were cleft in two. They fell to the ground, struggled feebly for a mont, and then died.

He pushed open a door and finally saw a large hall that resembled a church, similar to the one he’d seen when he killed a Duke of Blood Clan. Indeed, in the dimly lit hall stood a coffin—a massive stone coffin.

Ye Fan was on high alert. This is just like when I encountered that Duke in the mines. There must be a terrifying vampire inside that coffin. The Blood Clan has five Blood Ancestors, and every single one is a formidable warrior.

For that reason, he held the Yuanhong Sword tightly. If the coffin so much as quivered, he would strike it down. It seed this path was a dead end. Ye Fan moved forward slowly, looking for another exit. The place was lavishly decorated, exuding an air of grandeur and majesty. The person in that coffin must be no ordinary being.

But at that mont, the Blood Coffin suddenly moved. It began to shake violently, as if so horrendous creature inside was about to leap out.
