Chapter 384: Chapter 383 Bat Blood Ancestor
"Slaughter Sword Intent!" Ye Fan shouted. His sword slashed down, and the turbulent Blood Coffin instantly burst open.
Ye Fan observed the spot where the Blood Coffin had exploded, only to be stunned by the sight. There was nothing inside but an empty coffin.
Could it be...
He spun around and slashed with his sword, but a trendous surge of blood-red Qi struck him, sending him flying into a wall. At that mont, a vampire appeared where the coffin had been. He was an ancient vampire with a handso face, though his yellow-pupiled eyes radiated an intensely cold Evil Qi.
Ye Fan imdiately went on full alert. This person was not to be underestimated. From the sneak attack alone, it was clear this man was at least a Prince-level master, if not higher.
The vampire’s expression suddenly turned ferocious. He looked at Ye Fan coldly and said, "To dare intrude into my chambers... Eastern boy, you are too bold."
Ye Fan demanded, "Who are you?"
"You barge into my chambers and you don’t even know who I am? Hahaha, boy, you are foolish," the vampire cackled. "I lurk in the darkness, and I am the mightiest of all—the Bat Blood Ancestor!"
Ye Fan instantly grew uneasy. It really was a Blood Ancestor. He could only lant his terrible luck. To him, a Blood Ancestor was an insurmountable titan. He had no other option but to fight with all his might.
"Slaughter Sword Intent!" Ye Fan shouted, unleashing the attack. A massive wave of Sword Qi surged straight toward the Vampire Clan’s Blood Ancestor.
The vampire simply crossed his arms, effortlessly blocking the Slaughter Sword Intent. Ye Fan gasped in shock; the man was absurdly strong.
He charged forward, hoping to engage the vampire in close combat. However, the Blood Ancestor also made his move. He threw a punch, and a blood-red bat materialized, flying at Ye Fan. Ye Fan swiftly slashed it to pieces, but just as he did, the Blood Ancestor struck, his fist slamming into Ye Fan’s body.
The power of the blow was terrifying. Ye Fan imdiately coughed up blood, his face growing pale. The punch had injured his internal organs.
Helpless, Ye Fan charged forward again. He had no other choice here: it was fight or die. Therefore, every single move he made had to be his strongest.
"Returning to the Sect Sword!" Ye Fan roared, slashing forward. The Vampire Clan’s Blood Ancestor countered the attack, deflecting it into the wall and leaving a large crack. Imdiately after, Ye Fan followed up with his Slaughter Sword Intent. The Blood Ancestor blocked it again, but this ti, blood trickled from a wound on his arm.
He licked the blood from his arm and said to Ye Fan, "That was nothing."
He advanced on Ye Fan step by step, each footfall seeming to deepen his opponent’s despair. A Bat Blade had appeared in his hand at so unknown mont—a knife forged in the shape of a bat. In this gloomy, eerie chamber, the sight of it was chilling.
Ye Fan defended with his sharpest Swordsmanship, but even though his technique was superb, his cultivation realm was insufficient. He was failing, forced onto the defensive. In the darkness, only the flash of sparks from their clashing blades was visible. When the sparks faded, both Ye Fan and the Bat Blood Ancestor stood motionless.
"Hmph," Ye Fan grunted. He was helpless, caught in his weakest state, and his strength was still fading. He was covered in injuries, severely wounded by the Bat Blade.
As the blood trickled from his wounds, the Bat Blood Ancestor revealed a greedy smile. "Such delicious blood," he said. "Excellent sustenance. And it ca right to my door."
"Slaughter Sword Intent!" Ye Fan shouted. As he unleashed the attack, the entire chamber threatened to collapse, with huge cracks spreading across the walls and floor.
Amidst the chaos, the Bat Blood Ancestor descended from above and slashed at Ye Fan’s back. A burning pain erupted from the wound, sweeping through his entire body.
I was still a step too slow.
It was not that his techniques were poor; both his Slaughter Sword Intent and his Returning to the Sect Sword were top-tier skills. His cultivation realm simply was not high enough. His speed and reaction ti were a notch below his opponent’s. Because of this, every ti he unleashed his strongest attack, the Bat Blood Ancestor easily dodged it. Now, the vampire was not even giving him the chance for a direct confrontation.
The Bat Blood Ancestor spoke with disdain, "Ti is almost up. Our little ga is about to end."
"Blood Ancestor Secret Technique."
He muttered the na of the art, and as he did, a massive, blood-red bat materialized. It charged straight for Ye Fan.
Ye Fan felt an overwhelming pressure born of pure despair. As it weighed down on him, he was forced to one knee, completely drained of strength. At that mont, the Bat Blood Ancestor lunged from the shadows of the Dark Night.
Not good!
Ye Fan was shocked. He quickly brought his Yuanhong Sword up to fend off the Bat Blade, but he was still a step too slow.
The Bat Blade pierced straight through his body.
"AARGH!"
Ye Fan scread as the blade penetrated his ribs, pinning him to the wall. It was a terrible sight. A Blood Ancestor was truly a Blood Ancestor, not a foe a Prince could ever compare to. Ye Fan could slay Prince-level vampires, but he was no match for a Blood Ancestor.
Overwheld by the intense pain, Ye Fan slowly faded into unconsciousness. His blood dripped onto the ground, each drop like a red diamond.
Sensing the tempting aroma, the Bat Blood Ancestor caught a drop of blood and placed it in his mouth, savoring the flavor with imnse pleasure. He extended his long fangs, preparing to drain Ye Fan’s blood completely.
But at that mont, a dark shadow descended.
The Bat Blood Ancestor turned and was instantly shocked. "Ancestor Lord," he said, bowing quickly.
Then, the figure in the shadows spoke. "You cannot kill him."
"Ancestor Lord, why?" the Bat Blood Ancestor asked, perplexed. This prey was too delicious, and he truly did not want to let it go. He was determined to argue his case.
The dark figure spoke again. "I do not like people who waste my ti. Give him to ."
"Ancestor, he is my catch," the Bat Blood Ancestor said to the figure in the shadows. "According to the rules of our Vampire Clan, half of his blood should be mine. Otherwise, if word of this gets out, it will not be good for Your Majesty’s reputation."
Though he feigned respect, Ye Fan’s blood was so uniquely delicious that it was worth the risk.
The dark figure’s voice was cold. "Are you implying that I am stealing your prey?"
"Not at all, not at all," the Bat Blood Ancestor said quickly. "But if the other clan mbers were to find out, it would certainly be... unfavorable for you, Ancestor."
Although he spoke subserviently, his tone was filled with a threat. The aning was simple: share Ye Fan’s blood, or I will spread this story.
Just then, a smile touched Heather’s lips. "Dead n," she said, "tell no tales."
