Of all the car rides Hugo has had in his short ti as a Casanova, this was the most awkward.

The silence in the car was suffocating.

Not the comfortable, relaxed kind where two people could just enjoy each other's company without speaking—no, this was the awkward kind.

It was the kind that made Hugo feel like he was driving a funeral procession instead of taking a girl out for a fun night.

The soft hum of the Benz's engine filled the empty space between them, the city lights flashing past as Hugo tightened his grip on the steering wheel, sneaking a glance at Emily, who was sitting in the passenger seat with her hands neatly folded in her lap, staring out the window like she was deep in thought.

Hugo knew enough to know that she wasn't actually deep in thought, she simply didn't know what to say!

She was clueless about how to start

conversation!

Man, this is rough.

Hugo had been on plenty of dates before. He knew how to flirt, how to keep a conversation flowing, how to make a girl laugh. But Emily? Emily was a whole different species.

Unlike the fiery, playful, or openly affectionate girls he was used to, Emily felt… restrained.

She wasn't exactly cold, but she wasn't exactly warm either. It was like she was used to following a script, only saying things when necessary and never stepping out of line.

Compared to his other girls, Emily had the least amount of "vibes."

Hugo sighed internally. 'Alright, ti to break the ice.'

He didn't invite her along just to be his ditation partner!

"So, Emily," he started casually, drumming his fingers on the wheel. "I realized sothing tonight."

Emily turned her head slightly, her expression neutral. "Oh?"

Hugo nodded. "I don't know a damn thing about you."

Emily blinked. "What?"

Hugo smirked, glancing at her briefly. He was saying the truth. Hugo knew what Lisa liked. He knew Erica was crazy. He knew Loli was dangerous in the best and worst ways possible. He knew Celine was evil.

But Emily?

"You're like so mysterious noble lady with a tragic backstory."

Emily's lips twitched slightly, but she quickly composed herself. "There's no tragic backstory."

Hugo raised an eyebrow. "No dead sibling? No secret twin? Not even a hidden family curse?"

Emily let out a small laugh, shaking her head. "No, none of that."

Hugo grinned. Finally, so progress. "Alright then, let's start simple. What was your childhood like?"

Emily hesitated, her fingers lightly gripping the hem of her dress. "It was… structured."

Hugo snorted. "Structured? That sounds like a fancy way of saying boring."

Emily let out a small sigh, glancing out the window. "It wasn't boring. It was just… controlled. My parents are very strict, especially my father.

"Everything was planned—where I went, who I spoke to, what I learned. I had tutors instead of normal teachers, security guards instead of friends, etiquette lessons instead of playti. Even my hobbies were chosen for ."

Hugo's eyebrows shot up. "Damn. That's worse than I thought."

Emily offered him a small, almost apologetic smile. "It wasn't all bad. I had everything I could ever need. But sotis… I felt like I was living in a museum. Everything was perfect, but I could never touch anything."

Hugo had crazy thoughts at that mont. 'Ah. She's one of those sophisticated young ladies from those webnovels.'

'The ones who had been sheltered all their lives, raised like fragile porcelain dolls, and taught to always act refined and proper. And everyone knows the best way to win their hearts is to show them what real fun is!'

A mischievous grin spread across his face as he took a sharp turn, steering the car toward a different part of the city.

Emily frowned slightly, glancing at him. "Where are we going?"

"You'll see," Hugo said cryptically, his grin widening as he finally pulled into a parking lot and shut off the engine.

Emily turned to look outside and imdiately stiffened. "…An amusent park?"

Hugo unbuckled his seatbelt and stretched. "Yep. Ti to have a little fun."

Emily looked at him like he had just suggested robbing a bank. "I haven't been to an amusent park since I was ten."

Hugo feigned shock, clutching his chest. "Ten? That's a cri. Soone call the authorities."

Emily rolled her eyes, but Hugo could see the slight pink in her cheeks. "I just… don't usually go to places like this."

Hugo opened his door and got out, walking over to the passenger side before leaning down and opening her door for her.

"Then it's about ti you did." He held out a hand. "Co on, trust ."

Emily hesitated for a brief second before sighing softly and taking his hand. As soon as her fingers brushed against his, Hugo grinned.

She's in!

He had to make progress with his first college crush tonight or he would change his surna!

Actually, he wouldn't, but still!

They stepped onto the pavent, the bright lights of the amusent park glowing like a festival of chaos and excitent.

The air was thick with the sll of popcorn, fried food, and sugary treats, while the distant screams of people on roller coasters mixed with the lively music blasting from the speakers.

Emily looked around, her eyes scanning the colorful signs, the towering rides, the groups of people running around with excitent. It was loud. It was ssy.

It was the complete opposite of the sophisticated parties and high-end restaurants she was used to.

And for the first ti that night, Hugo saw sothing new in her eyes. Curiosity.

He smirked, nudging her playfully. "Alright, Lady Emily. Ti for you to experience what true entertainnt is like."

Emily raised an eyebrow. "And what exactly do you have planned?"

Hugo grinned, already dragging her toward the entrance. "Step one: roller coasters. Step two: gas. Step three: absolute chaos."
