After Sir Silver Baron and his party teleported here... it was then they realized that the space at the bottom of Furnace Mountain was far from being as narrow, dark, hot, and humid as a mine shaft.

Instead, it was exceptionally clean and tidy.

Rather than the base of a volcano, it resembled more an enigmatic temple.

——This location is beyond the "Deep Well."

After reaching the bottom of the well and continuing further inside... one would see this grand architecture.

In fact, its structure was sowhat similar to that of the Underground City; only without the layer of light ants for support... but the sa sense of spaciousness that does not shy away from occupying land was unmatched.

The do was at least six or seven ters high, and the corridor was over forty ters wide. It could compare to a smaller scale waiting hall... It certainly did not seem like it was made for just a few people to walk around.

The walls on both sides were neither made of brick nor mud.

Instead, they were silver-white, with a tallic texture and smooth surface.

Under their feet was a blood-red cashre carpet that was remarkably vivid and about six or seven ters wide. Giant statues were placed every fifty ters or so along both sides of the carpet, with several rows of steps leading upwards.

The most bizarre aspect was... those statues, whether standing or kneeling, fighting or praying, all shared one common feature: they were headless. And it seed as though sothing was parasitic upon their bodies, blooming into glowing crystal clusters as broad as three or four ters in diater at their largest, with the smallest being no wider than a palm.

It was these crystal clusters that fully illuminated the corridor.

They were not carved elsewhere and then transported here; rather, they were directly sculpted from local stone materials.

This long corridor stretched on for more than six hundred ters.

At the very front was a triangular gate. It featured a slowly rotating curtain of liquid that resembled rcury in color and texture.

"Must be over a thousand eight hundred by now."

Sir Silver Baron suddenly spoke up, "This Earl can really do it."

The mysterious lady asked subconsciously, "What one thousand eight..."

"One thousand eight hundred Gold Coins."

Sir Silver Baron’s mouth curved slightly upward: "Not to ntion the cost of that Deep Well technology that reaches down eight hundred ters... just this corridor, these statues, and that gate. I’ve done a rough estimate, and it would cost almost one thousand eight hundred Gold Coins.

"I just took a glance... The Winter family’s savings don’t even amount to that figure. This Earl’s ability to amass wealth is really sothing."

"It should not be that much."

The mysterious lady subconsciously rebutted Sir Silver Baron: "These walls may be silver-plated, but they are not pure silver. They’re treated with aluminum silver powder. And those sculptures are obviously created using shaping Spells... In this kind of underground environnt, it’s impossible for the raw stone to be so symtrically ford."

She paused for a mont, "But it’s indeed quite troubleso."

"How do we open this gate?"

The Faceless Poet spoke with a sharp and frivolous voice: "Shall we just charge in? But I feel this gate also has so value."

"Don’t move. It’s a passcode gate, and later we’ll move it back for Annan."

The mysterious lady answered without hesitation: "Rune-type passcode... not encrypted at all, very simple."

As she spoke, she traced an "infinity" symbol in front of the triangular gate.

The rcury gate then opened on its own.

Once the shielding was lifted, pure light, like a tidal wave, imdiately overflowed!

Their figures lted into the endless light in an instant, and even their shadows dissipated along with it.

This was light capably of destroying the sanity of mortals.

Yet Mr. Radiance didn’t even raise his hand.

His translucent, lapis-colored pupils lit up with the sa radiance.

The sea of light parted like the waters of a flood, bending before them and closing behind them, silently avoiding the three of them.

The walls coated with aluminum silver powder also sparkled with the sa dazzling brilliance, desperately reflecting the penetrative light back.

In that mont, the temperature in the corridor began to soar like an oven.

"No wonder they made this corridor so wide..."

The Faceless Poet exclaid.

"It really is the Light of the Chariot."

The mysterious lady frowned, "No wonder all those nobles were sublimated... A thin layer of aluminum silver powder can’t withstand such active Light of the Chariot. It would need a lead layer, at least three ters thick. Only by arranging a light-blocking barrier with Ananke’s holy numbers could this light be sealed."

"They definitely do not have the money for that."

Sir Silver Baron, striding forward, uttered a very realistic statent, "Lead is also expensive, and the technology to slt lead layers is probably only available to the followers of the Charioteer."

"What about those people?"

The mysterious lady did not move but instead turned to inquire to Mr. Radiance behind her.

Mr. Radiance passed by the mysterious lady. He did not look back but continued to walk forward, softly saying, "I’ve placed all mortals well above the Deep Well. And that Earl and that Wizard...

"They’ve been thrown inside by ."

...Wouldn’t they be burned senseless by the light?

Hearing this, the mysterious lady’s expression beca slightly peculiar.

But she didn’t say much either and just quickly followed the others inside with a few brisk steps.

Once inside, one would discover an object of breathtaking beauty.

——It was a sea of crystal clusters.

Nurous pure white crystal clusters, like a sea of blooming flowers, completely covered the approximately five hundred square ters round room.

Only an "infinity" symbol, akin to an "8" turned sideways, was left empty. However, it was not devoid of everything but rather dazzled with a glorious white light.

And a middle-aged noble dressed in a red robe, as well as a beautiful youth with brown curly hair who is as delicate as a lady, obediently sit side by side to the left of the infinity symbol.

Their pupils reflect pure white light; their smiles are serene and gentle, and their gazes are as vacant as if they were dead.

On the other side is Nigel’s painting.

In the very center of the infinity symbol—the source of all light.

To mortals, this light could easily contaminate their minds.

But for the gods, it cannot even obstruct their vision.

"Long ti no see, everyone."

A very gentle voice arises in the hearts of all.

The expressions of the three deities beco serious.

Pitch-black hair reaching mid-back is not composed of many strands, but is more like the night sky in sheets.

A face almost identical to Annan’s, wearing a tranquil smile full of motherly serenity. Her left eye is a vortex-like, silver-gray gem; while the right is a pitch-black void.

——That is the "material" once taken by Miss Haoyun.

A "Divine Eye" of the Charioteer.

Looking into that void, one sees not darkness, but the purest emptiness.

Her bust is prominent, her body uncovered... In her abdon is the black hole left behind when The Worm burrowed out. She crosses her hands dignifiedly, protecting the void in her abdon.

But from her waist down, she turns into nothingness.

A crescent-shaped rift has swallowed her lower half, leaving her suspended in midair without even arms.

Or rather... She’s originally from an otherworldly realm, and a rift has torn through the barrier between two worlds, releasing part of her back.

"Just as I suspected..."

The Silver Baron murmurs.

The demon from The Void World has not taken over the body of the Earl or that of the Wizard.

——But of the Charioteer’s corpse.

The demons of The Void World are not a race.

They are called "demons" only to express the elves’ disgust and fear, but these are not the kind of demons that the fallen turn into.

They could also be called "Heart Demons" or "Celestial Demons".

They have no physical form.

They are rely the "hatred" created from the remnants of the world after its destruction.

——I (referring to the world) have already been destroyed, so why can you live?

Just as the undead hate the living.

The demons of The Void World parasite inside intelligent life forms, gaining a body, intelligence, power, and will—everything they do is for the destruction of the current world. This hatred is directed only at "the world that ultimately destroyed The Void World".

This is the last self-preservation chanism of the world. It is also a kind of "deterrence chanism", the ssage that "if you kill , I will co back to kill you".

Once possessed by a demon of The Void World, whatever forr wishes one had will turn into "destruct everything".

...However, this kind of revenge is very feeble.

After all, as the victors, they are certainly much stronger.

One or two individuals having their minds altered is inconsequential.

But...

Even the Silver Baron could not conceive what the Charioteer, whose mind had been altered, might do.

Utmost purity, sanctity, and goodness. Her light could purify everything.

Already able to alter minds, drive them insane, the demon from The Void World.

Like the collision of the sharpest spear and the sturdiest shield.

"Don’t worry, everyone. That child has been purified by ... I’m still here just waiting for you all to co."

She chuckles gently: "I am very lucid now. I will not attack you, nor will I resist.

"I know that my awakening is a mistake. Once you’ve asked all you want, I will cooperate with you to rectify this mistake."

"...I know why Mr. Radiance didn’t directly take action to purify the demon."

The Silver Baron covers his forehead with his hand.

Lady Mystery and Mr. Radiance also fall silent.

It’s not that they’re too compassionate to act—to allow a forr companion to rest in peace, any of them would be able to make that decision.

Only...

"I hope we can all hear that answer together, rather than asking first. Then telling you all."

Mr. Radiance says softly.

"You did right, Mr. Radiance. (Silence) Indeed, there is sothing I want to ask you..."

The Silver Baron, with eyes closed, speaks softly: "I think you surely also know what I want to ask."

The Charioteer says gently: "How I died... right?"

"That’s exactly it."

The Silver Baron says.
