Since they’ve now identified Wu Hao as the pri suspect, they obviously won’t let this lead slip away. Moreover, the top levels of the two major families where Will and d belong have already been inford of this situation.
Although this doesn’t have a significant impact on the overall strength and developnt of the two families, the fact that soone snatched sothing that should have belonged to them from under their noses can’t go unanswered.
Far away in South Arica, Wu Hao was already well aware of Will and d’s plan to send people to South Arica, having imdiately learned every detail through his AI system, which monitored their communications.
It must be said, Wu Hao’s possession of such an overpowered cheating device as the AI, in this world where the internet is everywhere, makes intercepting communications and conducting surveillance on anyone as easy as it gets.
Moreover, with his own capabilities, Wu Hao wasn’t really afraid of anyone coming to cause him trouble.
However, Wu Hao had not forgotten one thing: he was currently traveling with his family, and while dealing with these problems, he needed to ensure their trip wouldn’t be disrupted.
After all, this family trip hadn’t even reached the halfway point yet! If this situation caused it to end prematurely, he wouldn’t be happy.
A day later, Wu Hao, his family, and their group, accompanied by over a dozen security personnel, arrived at a small town closest to the Amazon’s edge. There, they planned to rent several small boats and take a scenic tour along the winding Amazon River.
Initially, Wu Hao’s parents had felt uncomfortable with so many people accompanying them when they first arrived in South Arica. But after Wu Hao explained that security wasn’t great in certain parts of these South Arican countries, they gradually got used to the additional security personnel.
After all, back ho, Wu Hao had already arranged for nurous private bodyguards to constantly protect his parents, so the two elders were able to accept this arrangent quite easily.
However, their guide, He Wen, who had already known Wu Hao was a wealthy man with his own private bodyguards when they were in Hong Kong, was still sowhat surprised. In South Arica, Wu Hao had hired what seed like a group of soldiers to serve as their bodyguards.
Although these people weren’t fully ard, they did carry weapons, and so even had automatic firearms in the vehicles that followed them.
“BOSS, the people Will and d sent will arrive in the town in about half an hour,” the voice of AI Zero echoed in Wu Hao’s earpiece.
“No rush, let’s wait until they arrive and see what happens,” Wu Hao casually replied.
Clearly, he wasn’t worried about the people Will and d had dispatched. Even though there were more than 30 fully ard individuals coming for Wu Hao, an elite squad from the Rothschild family’s private military, they posed no real threat to him.
The DuPont family, on the other hand, was supporting the operation through other ans. Will and d had two objectives in sending so many people: first, to monitor and investigate Wu Hao, while using instrunts to check if the teorite was still in his possession.
Of course, both Will and d were well aware that Wu Hao wouldn’t be traveling around so freely with his family if the teorite was still with him.
But now, with no other clues about the teorite’s whereabouts, they could only start with Wu Hao. After their search turned up nothing, they planned to question Wu Hao directly about the location of the teorite.
That’s why they had sent so many people. They knew that aside from the bodyguards Wu Hao had brought from ho, he had hired a team of rcenaries once he arrived in South Arica.
In terms of numbers, Will and d’s team wasn’t much larger than Wu Hao’s group, but d had great confidence in their family’s private military. After all, this squad had completed many seemingly impossible missions for their family.
Two hours later, the team secretly scouting the town relayed their findings back to Will and d.
After confirming that there were no signs of the teorite near Wu Hao, the two began planning their next steps.
“Boss, since the teorite isn’t with him, the only option left is to question him directly,” said one of the subordinates after hearing Will and d’s discussion.
Neither Will nor d objected, silently agreeing with the proposal. A mont later, d sent an order to the squad leader in South Arica.
“Jon, gather the team. We need to co up with a plan to force the location of the teorite from him,” the squad leader, Wright, told his second-in-command, Jon.
“Got it, boss!” Jon, a bearded middle-aged white man, didn’t look particularly strong but was quite solidly built. He was also a sniper who had once served in the U.S. Marine Corps, taking part in many special operations.
In fact, all the mbers of this squad had once belonged to special forces units from various countries, but for various reasons, they eventually joined the Rothschild family’s private military, handling missions for them.
Of course, the Rothschild family wasn’t the only one with a private military. Most of the major family corporations in Europe and the U.S. had similar arrangents, whether it was controlling large mafia organizations, rcenary groups, or secret assassin networks.
For these families, whose industries spanned the globe and who had amassed unimaginable wealth over decades or centuries, it was impossible to survive without their own military forces. After all, the darkness they had faced over the years was sothing only they knew.
Soon, Wright and Jon gathered the scattered mbers of their team in the town and began discussing how to proceed. After so deliberation, Wright, Jon, and the other team mbers ca up with two plans.
The first and most direct plan was to split into two groups: one to distract and deal with Wu Hao’s security team, and the other to capture Wu Hao.
If the plan failed, they would control Wu Hao’s family and use them to coerce him into submission.
