"!" Exclaid Alkimia, a gust of air erupting from her staff.

Woah, I can't breath, did she displace all the oxygen in the space? Hm, she's keeping the end of her staff close to her mouth and nose, she must be generating so oxygen for herself.

Not a bad move at all, most would suffocate if she used this in an enclosed space. But Pocket Dinsion works differently, fresh oxygen is continuously being generated as we breathe, using an application of Treasury's function to create copies of stuff, while excess carbon dioxide gets filtered out using the effect of Devour.

So, the oxygen she displaced will be replenished in a matter of seconds. And even if that wasn't the case, I can go without breathing for several minutes now, thanks to my Immortality Skill. Hm, looks like she's realized that this effect isn't going to last.

"!" She exclaid, firing out a rapid, pressurized jet of acid at .

I swiftly raced across to evade the attack, the liquid bubbling and sizzling as it splattered across the floor of the room. I then took aim and fired out a rapid blast of Negative Energy at Alkimia, who stumbled back slightly as her eyes widened in alarm.

But she was quick to recover, chanting under her breath and forming a diamond shield in front of herself. My Negative Energy blast dissipated as it collided against the shield, right as several blasts of water ca shooting out from behind the shield.

I locked onto the incoming projectiles and responded with a volley of Negative Energy blasts, intercepting and canceling out her barrage.

"Now, !"

A wide spray of liquid burst out as Alkimia raced out from behind her diamond shield and took aim at , launching the liquid towards . I swiftly backed away as the spray closed in on , weaving through the space to avoid the splatter at it hit the floor.

My vision blurred slightly as I inhaled so of the fus, before I unleashed Void and created a black hole, sweeping it across the floor and mopping up the chemical. Her Immunity Negation Skill is a serious pain, even with my regeneration repairing the effects a mont later.

It's been a little over twenty-four hours since I returned to the Pocket Dinsion. I decided to get so rest after I relayed what had happened to the others, to recover my energy.

After that, I spoke with the others again, brainstorming ways to go about taking down Baraq. I think it went reasonably well, our discussions were fairly productive.

And a little while ago, I decided to get a look at what Alkimia is capable of. I'm not using any of my power boosts, I'm taking on a mostly passive approach and mainly just reacting to her moves, and on the occasions where I do attack, I only use Negative Energy.

Well, at least until I used Void just now. But technically, I didn't use it to attack, just to get rid of an attack she'd already launched.

She's below average at close-range, she's going to need a lot more training and experience before she can fight an opponent head-on. But based on what I've seen so far, her potential as a support option at her current level and capabilities is very promising.

She's got a wide array of options up her sleeve, her casting speed is solid and her attacks are pretty potent. Her biggest shortcoming with her casting is her speed with successive casting.

After she casts once, it takes a mont before she can cast again. She can cast freely if she sticks to just one elent or compound, but it's switching between multiple options that slows her down.

"Okay, try throwing off your opponent with a more volatile attack initially, and then switch to a barrage of one option. For example, maybe a TNT blast to kick things off, followed by a flurry of, like, diamond blades or sothing," I suggested, adding as she took a mont to catch her breath, "Also, you're way too tense. You're using up more stamina than you otherwise would because you're constantly on edge."

"Y-Yeah, I know, Ciel said the sa thing. But she also said that I need to be alert at all tis during battle, I'm just having a hard ti striking that right balance," She sighed wistfully.

"Yeah, you're more stressed and anxious than alert. Your mind needs to be calm and sharp, and your body needs to be more relaxed. That'll help you respond and react faster. But that's not sothing you can change overnight, it's sothing you sharpen and refine through real combat experience. Alright, let's get back to it. Keep attacking," I instructed, as I cracked my neck with a tilt of my head.

"Okay, here I co...!"

I launched myself up with a burst of Negative Energy as she fired out a rapid spray of liquid at , evading her attack as I ascended towards the ceiling, a layer of frost forming over the floor as the liquid splattered across it, a cold mist flowing out around that spot.

"Now, !"

Dozens of glass shards manifested, spinning around rapidly and forming a shredding tornado of glass, before she launched it up towards with imnse speed.

I swiftly swooped down as the shards ca barreling towards , avoiding the tornado as I shot down and landed on the floor. As the tornado lost steam and the shards began to rain down, I fired out a pressurized blast of Negative Energy above myself, blowing the shards away.

Suddenly, a long, narrow shard of glass ca shooting straight towards from ahead, before I stepped forward and help my right hand up. As the shard closed in on , I caught it between my index and middle fingers, bringing the projectile to an abrupt halt.

"How about this, !" Chanted Alkimia, launching a mass of acid up above , the liquid falling apart and plumting down towards .

I manifested Devour and expanded the jaws above myself, swallowing up the acid without letting a single drop hit .

"Nice, that was a pretty good combo. Keep it up," I smiled encouragingly, as I finished consuming her acid with Devour.
