"So, what's this about? Do you want to see my abilities in action?" Inquired Alkimia, as she, Ciel and I entered an isolated room in the Pocket Dinsion.
"Well, that's a part of it, yes. But there's a bit more to it. First things first, though. I'd like to take a look at your current stats," I replied, before narrowing my eyes at her as I cast Appraisal:
Stats:
HP: 2100
MP: 3000
Strength: 2100
Agility: 3000
Vitality: 2100
Perception: 3000
Power Level: 2,550,000
Hm, not bad. That's the sa Power Level and stats I had after I maxed out while I was stuck in the world the Monsters ca from.
"While she's not quite on our level, she's still plenty powerful. And her Magic packs quite a punch, not to ntion incredible versatility," Ciel inford .
"Yeah, it's pretty incredible that she reached this level in just two and a half months. But, frankly, it isn't enough. Especially since you have no real combat experience yet, Alkimia.
Still, you might be able to contribute in a support role, especially if you were a bit stronger. On that note, I have an important question. Tell , are you willing to fight?" I asked her.
Not gonna lie, I feel a bit guilty about asking an underage girl to risk her life, but we're short on options. Hm, actually, since she's reincarnated too, there's a chance that she's significantly older on the inside.
"Well, I'd be lying if I said I wanted to. But at the sa ti, it wouldn't be fair to just rely on you guys entirely. So, if there is a way I can contribute without, you know, sacrificing myself or whatever, yeah, I'm in," She replied, a determined gleam in her eyes.
"Good, that's just what I wanted to hear. Now, then, how about a little upgrade? I'm going to have to ask you to keep this a secret from Leto, because I don't intend on giving him this upgrade. Just say it's an ability you unlocked in your System."
"Uh...what kind of upgrade are we talking about here, exactly?" She inquired curiously.
"Hm? Ohh, right, I totally forgot about that!" Realized Ciel, as I opened my Treasury.
"The Demon Lord created ten powerful weapons. Five of which are each owned by the five of us who survived the battle in the Final Dungeon, leaving five still up for grabs. The Personalis Arma," I stated, taking out of the weapons and approaching Alkimia.
"A tal rod? I an, I'm not going to complain about a free weapon, but I kinda suck at close range," She smiled sheepishly.
"This isn't what it'll look like once you claim it. The mont you take hold of it, it'll start glowing and transform into a weapon suited to you. After that, you just need to na it," I explained, before holding it out to her.
"Oh, wow...that sounds amazing. And you're really okay with giving this to ?" She responded in awe.
"Yeah, it could increase our chances of success here, it'd be stupid not to give you one."
"Well, okay, if you're really sure. Here I go," She gulped, tentatively reaching out.
Ai, you ready?
Heh, right.
Now, then...here we go.
Alkimia paused for a mont as her hand got within milliters of the rod, taking a deep breath before steeling herself and taking hold of it...
The rod then transford, turning into a black staff with a black orb at the end of it. A snake then ford around the staff, coiling around the length of the weapon. Huh, it looks like those symbols you see on a lot of pharmacies.
As the rod finished transforming, a screen popped up:
Na: [ ]
[ 20% Boost to All Stats While Equipped]
[ 25% Boost to Elent and Compound While Equipped]
[Quick Casting]
"Alright, this is your new weapon. Ti to na it," I smiled, an excited glimr in Alkimia's eyes as she stared at the weapon intently.
"Oh, that's easy, it looks just like a caduceus, so I'll na it Caduceus," She grinned eagerly.
"Huh, so that's what that symbol is called."
"What does it do?" Chid in Ciel curiously.
"Let's see, ...oh, nice, it boosts by twenty percent, which puts my Power Level at over three million while I've got it equipped. And it boosts the potency of the effects of my elents and compounds by twenty-five percent. Oh, and it looks like I don't need to fully chant to cast my Magic anymore.
Before I'd have to chant Elental or Compound Generation, followed by the symbol, and then the na. For example, to create water, I'd have to chant Compound Generation: H₂O, Water. But now, I'd just have to chant H₂O, Water," Replied Alkimia with a beaming smile.
"Hm, not bad. Alright, then. We'll take a few days before we make our move. If we take too long, there's bound to be a bunch of Hunters around that area. But if it's around two or three minutes, the Angel should still be a bit thrown off by my attack, and we should still have so ti before reinforcents show up.
First, though, I'd like you to spend so ti getting used to your new weapon, Alkimia. The Personalis Arma are indestructible weapons, so you can use your staff to defend too. I'd also like to spar against you and get an idea of what you're capable of," I remarked thoughtfully.
"Sure, no objections here. Just so long as you don't ask to blast you with plutonium or uranium or sothing else insane," She frowned as she glanced at Ciel, who shrugged in response.
She asked her to do what-...no, actually, that tracks.
"Yeah, I don't think I'm particularly keen on getting hit with anything that volatile, regardless of the fact that I'm immortal. Anyway, like I said before, don't tell Leto how you got this weapon. If he asks, just say it's sothing similar to his Death Scythe, a weapon from your System."
"Alright, got it. I doubt he'll go out of his way to ask, though. He doesn't really talk to anybody most of the ti, he just keeps to himself and glares."
"Yeah, he's kind of a pain to deal with," Sighed Ciel in exasperation.
"Well, that's concerning to hear. Let's just hope he doesn't cause any problems for us," I responded warily.
