When it ca to severing himself from the Universal System, Corey himself would say that his plan was not fullproof, and that he was winging it.
Although the Universal Brand had the image of an eye, to Corey and Pala who had extrely unique and powerful rune sights, the Universal System was just made out of runes.

Stitches could be seen as the eye struggled to open, and with each passing second, the eye changed from a cyan colour to a dark crimson colour.
It was deeper than blood, darker than the night, and the aura it emitted sent chills across the spines of Corey and Pala.

The stitches violently tore apart, and a dark crimson aura blasted out of the now-crimson eye.
Corey and Pala were forced to take several steps to the back.
They looked at the Universal Brand, and when they saw its dark crimson pupil moving about erratically while bleeding dark crimson blood, they suddenly had a terrible feeling.
More blood began to slowly fall from the eye, and both Corey and Pala instinctively took a step to the back.
Their instincts were warning them about the blood, and they could see that there was sothing wrong with the blood.
Corey opened his right hand, and Primus' arrived in his base form- a glass rod.
Runes swirled around Pala's arms and body, and her eyes slowly transford into golden-infinity marked eyes.
After three extrely tense seconds, the dark crimson blood began to bubble violently.
The crimson eye stared at them with complete malice and fury, causing cold sweat to form on their temples.
Especially Corey's.
He could feel that the Universal Brand was trying to do sothing to his Cosmic Soul, but it was failing.

Six dark crimson tentacles with flower-like mouths filled with razor sharp teeth fell to the ground in nurous pieces.
They writhed and began to crawl back to one another in an utterly disgusting manner, and the mont Corey saw this, he felt complete and utter disgust from his Cosmic Soul.
But Corey's attention was not wholly on this feeling but on the writhing tentacles and flower-like mouths.
He had not seen these tentacles when they moved. All he saw was a flash, and before he knew it, his hands moved.
He had not only protected himself but also Pala.
One look at the stunned expression Pala had as she stared at the writhing tentacles was enough proof that even Pala had not seen these tentacles move.
Corey glanced at Primus, but then he shook his head a second later.
'It was not Primus. Primus was not the one that attacked those tentacles. He didn't control my body.'
'... My soul... Since I'm inside my soul, my reaction ti and power is a lot higher than normal.'
Corey's brows furrowed slightly in thought, then he looked at the Universal Brand.
When he saw that its pupil was slowly becoming brighter and brighter, his expression drastically changed.

Without wasting a single second, he ran in the opposite direction with an extrely solemn gaze.
Corey crossed an unfathomable distance, but his instincts still warned him about the incoming attack of the dark crimson eye.
Pala was baffled as to what was going on, and she also had an embarrassed expression because of the way Corey was carrying her.
It was in a completely embarrassing position, and if anybody were to see her, her reputation would definitely fall.

Pala could see that the dark crimson light were actually bloody disgusting tentacles with razor sharp teeth. They emitted so much blood and crimson light to the point that it looked like the Universal Brand had released a large and thick beam of light.
'What the hell? Is the Universal Brand actually a living entity?'
