"He’s dead, so be it. It has nothing to do with me." Qin Yue remained indifferent, his deep eyes cold to the extreme.
"No, no..." Cecil’s mind raced, as she’d been deeply investigating the Living Yama and that troublesome girl who appeared in Gambling City because she loved this man deeply.
All the effort wasn’t in vain.
"If the Living Yama dies, the girl you like will never be with you."
Before she finished speaking, she felt the grip on her neck loosen a bit.
"Explain clearly."
"Living Yama is the girl’s brother-in-law. They have a very good relationship. If Living Yama just dies like that, the person you like will certainly never forgive you." Cecil’s heart bled, the pain like a knife cutting.
Young, beautiful, wielding great power, inherently ruthless. She never lacked men, with many falling at her feet. She was always playing the field, indulging as she pleased.
So she didn’t understand what love was and scoffed at it in her heart. But now she knew—that pain, disfort, jealousy, madness—these intense emotions made her nearly fall apart, wishing she could destroy the world.
Qin Yue suddenly recalled that detail. When he stabbed the Living Yama, the girl indeed called him brother-in-law, and her gaze at him was entirely unfamiliar.
Every time he thought of that gaze, his chest would throb with pain.
"You’re lucky." Qin Yue reluctantly let go, chopping Cecil’s neck with his hand, knocking her out.

The prison was on the outskirts. It was about an hour’s drive from here to the city. Outside, visibility in the icy snow wasn’t great. After a fierce battle, Keperta’s temper was extremely irritable.
He had laid this trap for a long time, pretending to be oblivious, waiting for the Living Yama to take the bait so he could capture them all. But now, it was all for nothing, prompting him to immediately kill a useless person.
"That idiot Cecil." Keperta kicked down one of his subordinates, uncharacteristically losing control and shouting, "I told her to call for reinforcements, but she still hasn’t e. What’s the point of having her!"
A seemingly sure thing, and due to her delays, the captured ones escaped.
What a damn mess.
"Boss, lately Miss Cissel has indeed been too much." The Doctor plained, "She’s lost her mind for a man, we’ve all tried advising her but she doesn’t listen."
The Doctor wasn’t the only one upset with Cecil. Nearly all of Keperta’s top management couldn’t stand Qin Yue’s arrogance, distrusting him deeply, as he was a dangerously capable individual.
Also, his skills were too strong; if he had any rebellious intentions, most couldn’t suppress him. But Miss insisted on ignoring their warnings, often lambasting them instead.
"Send her away when we get back." Keperta’s patience was at its limit, proud of his excellent sister but disappointed in her regarding emotions.
He also underestimated Qin Yue’s skills, even with memory loss, he was still this petent.
"Kill Qin Yue when we return!"
"Yes!" The Doctor was delighted as Qin Yue seemed to live just to demonstrate how unsuccessful his medical experiments were.
Seeing him, he never felt any joy.
After leaving the city, Keperta’s convoy slowly headed toward the prison. When they were about a kilometer away, an earth-shattering sound erupted, and a black mushroom cloud rose skyward, visible for dozens of miles around.
