"Don’t think you can deny it. Your eyes may deceive yourself, but they can’t deceive me. Back then in the desert, I almost caught her. Damn it. But don’t get too proud, I’ve never given up chasing her across the mainland. Once my people catch her, I’ll definitely make her pay."
Cecil felt increasingly triumphant as the jealousy and insane pain found an outlet, speaking out relieved her suffering.
"Odin, what do you think about me bringing her here specifically to serve prisoners? So many vicious men, all strong and fit, surely skilled in bed. I guarantee she’ll have the time of her life."
When Qin Yue heard her mention An’an, a whirlwind suddenly swept over his usually calm eyes, staring at Cecil with a gaze as if she were a dead person.
His hands directly wrapped around Cecil’s delicate neck.
"You... let go..." Cecil didn’t expect him to lash out suddenly, and for a moment, she couldn’t breathe, her beautiful face turning pale and greenish. Qin Yue truly wanted to kill her; she could clearly feel the murderous intent.
"This is reckless. Your brother isn’t here, and you dare do this." Isn’t a locked duty room the best opportunity for him to act? Cecil had sent everyone out. Even if noise emerged inside, the guards outside would merely think they were doing something indescribable.
So no one would e in to check.
"You... you knew all along?" Cecil finally revealed a look of fear and regret.
"Knew what?" Qin Yue said lightly, "Just spill everything you know! That way, I’ll let you die quickly."
Cecil sneered, speaking with difficulty, "Go ahead and kill me if you have the guts."
"Not talking, huh?" Qin Yue’s grip tightened more and more, but Cecil stubbornly bit her lip, refusing to open her mouth even in death.
No wonder she’s Keperta’s sister; she indeed has some backbone.
"Actually, it doesn’t matter if you talk or not." Qin Yue didn’t expect her to say anything anyway; he has always been a very confident person. So what if he has memory loss?
He genuinely didn’t care.
Memory or not, for him, he is who he is, names don’t matter, and the past doesn’t matter.
What he cared about was the future, a future with her in it.
Qin Yue uncontrollably thought of that starry desert night. For so many days and nights, he could see her whenever he closed his eyes.
The stars were so bright, but no star was as beautiful as her eyes.
He only wanted her, nothing else mattered.
The cold killing intent engulfed the small duty room, Cecil’s pupils contracted. With a slight increase in force, he could easily snap her neck.
"Wait..." This was her last chance for survival. She wasn’t afraid of death, but she wasn’t willing to die without having him.
"You can’t kill me. If you kill me, you won’t survive either."
"That might not be certain." Qin Yue sneered, his grip suddenly tightening.
"Wait..." This scream was all of Cecil’s strength, her throat hoarse from shouting, her whole body drenched in cold sweat as if she had been pulled out from water.
"Speak! My patience is running low."
"You can’t kill me. If you kill me, the Living Yama will die too." Cecil shouted desperately, this was her last lifeline. She had returned from outside specifically to dispatch people to help her brother.
