Seven Sins System Chapter 432. Two Kids On The Playground

“Yeah,” I said in a light tone, a bright smile spreading across my face.

I turned to look at Puriel, only to see her expression morph into one of disgust. She cringed as if I were so kind of disgusting caterpillar, and took a step back, putting more distance between us.

"So you’re into kids now?" she asked, her voice dripping with skepticism.

"No," I answered quickly, my smile fading. “What the freaking hell? Why do you think that?” My eyes widened.

But she didn’t soften her view. Her eyes remained narrowed, suspicious.

"Then why did you bring here?" she pressed.

I sighed, my initial excitent deflating.

“You said you wanted us to play around like before, right? Nowadays, kids don’t play in the forest and wait to be eaten by monsters," I explained, my tone tinged with annoyance.

I gestured broadly to the playground around us. “They play here. So we’ll play here too."

This ti her eyes widened in disbelief.

"But you said we are too old for this," she said again, her voice shaking slightly. She genuinely didn't expect to do sothing so out of character just to make her happy.

Truth be told, I was just as surprised at myself.

“Well, I never thought I would do this either,” I admitted, a rueful smile on my face. “We are too old for this.”

She looked at .

For a mont, I thought she might laugh or scoff, but instead, she just stared at , processing my words.

“So…”

I walked behind the large tree again, hiding from Puriel's view. Using my Camouflage skill, I transford my appearance to my younger self, the way I looked when I was seven years old.

My white doctor’s coat morphed seamlessly into a set of clothes that fit my smaller fra, thanks to my Devil's Craft skill.

When I erged from behind the tree, I was a child again. I wore the sa mischievous, cute smile that I had worn all those years ago whenever I t Puriel in the forest to play.

“We will play as kids,” I announced, my voice higher and softer, fitting my childlike form.

Puriel’s eyes widened in shock. She took a step back, her hand instinctively covering her mouth.

For a mont, she seed utterly speechless, her mind trying to reconcile the adult with the boy standing before her.

I extended my hand to her, my smaller, childlike hand inviting her into the mont.

“So? Do you want to play with ?” I asked, my voice light and innocent, yet tinged with our shared past.

For a mont, she just stared at , her mind struggling to process the transformation. Then, with a smile, she accepted my hand.

“I do,” she said, her voice soft and almost fragile.

She held my hand. Her body began to glow softly, a gentle aura enveloping her. I watched as she transford into her younger self, the glow intensifying and then fading to reveal the Riri I once knew.

It was like stepping back in ti. There she was, the sa Riri I had played with in the forests all those years ago. Her eyes were wide and bright, filled with the innocent joy and wonder that I rembered so well.

“I will call you Riri. You can call El, okay?” I said, setting the rules just like we used to.

“Okay!” she replied happily.

Without hesitation, I grabbed her hand and we ran towards the playground.

It was a strange feeling, even though it had been my idea. I had never imagined myself doing sothing like this.

No, not in a million years. I had always believed I was beyond such simple, innocent pleasures. But life has a way of surprising us, and here I was, running hand in hand with Puriel, or Riri as I now called her, through a children's playground.

Our footsteps kicked up the soft sand as we reached the swings.

I let go of her hand and hopped onto one of the swings, my smaller legs pumping to gain montum.

Riri followed suit, her laughter mingling with mine as we swung higher and higher. The wind rushed past our faces, and for a mont, it felt like we were flying.

We swung back and forth. The absurdity of the situation hit . Here I was, a devil in disguise, playing on a swing set in the mortal realm with a goddess, my nesis.

I realized that this wasn't so bad after all. Despite the absurdity, there was sothing profoundly freeing about it. This was the mortal realm, after all. We weren't breaking any rules. We were just being ourselves, if only for a mont.
