School Transmigration: I, Chosen as the Saint by Dragons at the Start Chapter 119 -119-The Beginning of World Collapse
In a frenzied disarray, Finn and his companions were engulfed in chaos, while the Spectral Shadow Fiend found itself powerless to continue its entanglent with Owen.
It was well aware of Owen’s Soul-Tethered Bond – how could he possibly perish?
Without hesitation, the fiend twisted its form, making a beeline for a distant rift.
Owen, bombarded into a mist of blood, imdiately entered a peculiar state.
He seed to transform into the particles that filled the space between heaven and earth.
Each fragnt of his soul dispersed into the cosmos, gaining the ability to perceive everything.
Finn knelt in despair, Berkeley stood in stunned silence, and Morton, after a mont of shock, quickly gathered his wits and dragged the other two away.
Owen could even see the Spectral Shadow Fiend’s frenzied dash towards the horizon, its speed so imnse it was as if a ravenous demon was in pursuit.
All of these events unfolded before Owen’s "eyes."
It was an odd sensation...
Even stranger feelings surged within him as he sensed an inexplicable connection between his countless pairs of "eyes."
Suddenly, a mysterious force began to pull them together from various places.
Amidst a flash of golden light, Owen reappeared, whole once more.
Morton, trudging along, suddenly stopped dead in his tracks.
Before him lay a small puddle, mirroring the sky above like a reflective surface.
Astonishingly, the image of a colossal dragon manifested in this tiny pool of water.
He abruptly looked up at Owen, his mouth agape in disbelief.
"A... Am I seeing things?"
Finn, as if his soul had departed, showed no reaction.
Berkeley, slightly more composed, followed Morton’s gaze and then suddenly broke free from Morton’s grasp.
"Alive?" he uttered in astonishnt.
Upon hearing Berkeley’s exclamation, Finn imdiately perked up and looked towards the sky.
"Mr. Owen—"
A wave of intense joy swept over Finn’s heart.
The rollercoaster of emotions proved too much for him to handle, and tears, born of relief and elation, once again streaked down his already reddened cheeks.
"Woohoo—I knew Mr. Owen wouldn’t perish so easily!"
anwhile, Owen had no ti for conversation with Finn and the others.
The Spectral Shadow Fiend was alarmingly close to the rift.
He had to stop it imdiately.
He hadn’t forgotten that the black protodragon shattered its own spirit just to prevent the Spectral Shadow Fiend from escaping this world.
All these events, though described in detail, occurred in re monts.
Owen reassembled himself from the blood mist that filled the sky.
The Spectral Shadow Fiend, inwardly exasperated, engaged in combat with Owen once again.
A light began to coalesce within the Spectral Shadow Fiend.
"Light of Annihilation Curse."
Owen was blasted into a blood mist yet again.
Finn’s face, still wearing a smile from Owen’s return, froze: "He’s gone again..."
Owen reford once more.
"And he’s back again."
Owen fearlessly entangled with the Spectral Shadow Fiend again, only to be obliterated by the Light of Annihilation Curse into a blood mist once more.
Finn, now numb to the repeated cycle, carrying Erin on his back, solemnly said to the others: "Let’s get out of here, leave Mr. Owen be."
Berkeley’s mouth twitched, and he nodded vigorously: "This is just insane."
Morton, with a fiery look in his eyes, pondered: "What level has Owen reached to resurrect like this? Has he already broken through the grandmaster-tier? That’s incredibly powerful!"
The trio stopped paying attention to the battle in the sky and hurried on their way.
By the ti Owen resurrected for the seventh ti, they had finally left that world.
...
The Spectral Shadow Fiend watched as Owen once again materialized from a burst of golden light, the crimson glow in its eyes dimming noticeably: "You’re truly relentless. To use the Soul-Tethered Bond once is to endure agony that no one wishes to experience a second ti, yet you... you’ve used it thirteen tis!"
Employing the forbidden technique thirteen tis was a feat not even a grandmaster could easily achieve.
Had it not been for the slight manipulation of the forces of the universe to replenish himself, Owen wouldn’t have been able to remain afloat.
Owen, more than willing to drag out the battle, responded with a hint of amusent: "Heh, spare your concern. I don’t feel the agony; in fact, it feels rather good."
The Spectral Shadow Fiend was at a loss for words.
It observed the increasing number of rifts tearing through the sky, the fragnts of space falling like peeling paint from a wall.
It understood that ti was running out.
"You keep pretending, but your soul must be in excruciating pain."
Owen furrowed his brow, his heart skipping a beat.
He indeed felt no pain, and this wasn’t just an act to defy the Spectral Shadow Fiend.
Could it be the influence of the black protodragon?
"I could tell you, but you wouldn’t believe ," Owen said, pursing his lips.
"Let’s just leave it at that."
The Spectral Shadow Fiend’s expression turned unusually solemn:
"This is my final warning to you. This world is on the brink of collapse. If we don’t leave now, we’ll be sucked into the void. In the void, not even a sage can survive. For both of us, it’s a one-way ticket to death."
"Don’t stop now, and I won’t kill you. Let’s part ways peacefully. Judging by your age, you’re still young among dragons, with a promising future ahead. There’s no need for you to throw your life away in a futile battle with ."
"Even if we both escape, and you chase to the ends of the earth, that’s fine by ."
Owen, in his dragon form yet standing upright like a human, floated in mid-air with a leisurely posture.
He crossed his claws, casually tapping his right claw against the forearm of his left, exuding an air of nonchalance.
"You are a Demon, and you think it’s appropriate to believe the words of a Demon?"
His relaxed deanor visibly infuriated the Spectral Shadow Fiend: "You’re a madman, just like Hope. He was a sage-tier, the strongest force in this world. Why couldn’t he just go elsewhere? Yet, to block the path of my race, he chose to die in Loka City."
"You two are cut from the sa cloth, both damn lunatics. Fine, fine, fine, if that’s the case, then let’s die together, die together..."
The red glow in the Spectral Shadow Fiend’s eyes flashed wildly like a frenzied alarm, as it recklessly charged towards Owen.
It gathered a more intense force, transforming into shadows in an attempt to suppress Owen’s divine light.
The entirety of Loka City shook violently under the clash of these two formidable powers, as if it could collapse at any mont.
Owen unfurled his enormous wings, creating a powerful storm with each flap, resisting the encroachnt of darkness.
Each beat of his wings sent forth golden arcs of electricity, striking down like divine punishnt upon the Spectral Shadow Fiend.
In return, the Fiend responded with cunning and elusive attacks, unpredictable and difficult to defend against.
The battle intensified, a testant to their wit and bravery.
The Spectral Shadow Fiend had a realization – if it could sever Owen’s wings, his flight would be impaired, and his speed reduced.
This would require less effort on its part.
Owen, clearly understanding this, focused on defense rather than offense, resembling a hedgehog in his posture, leaving the Spectral Shadow Fiend montarily unsure of how to proceed.
Such an experience, a battle against a grandmaster, was indeed a rare encounter.
Owen let out a triumphant, resonant dragon’s roar, his laughter echoing to the heavens.
The Spectral Shadow Fiend, infuriated and frantic, intensified its attacks even more:
"Keep yelling, if you love it so much. Today, I’ll make sure you can’t make a sound ever again."
The battle between Owen and the Spectral Shadow Fiend had escalated to an unprecedented level of ferocity.
In the world where Loka City resided, rocks burst asunder, the earth seed to tremble and weep.
The clouds in the sky were torn apart by the tumultuous energy, with lightning intertwining into a massive net, as if heaven and earth themselves were bearing witness to their duel.
Owen, clad in a battle armor of golden dragon scales, radiated a dazzling brilliance.
Each flap of his wings stirred up hurricanes, and every breath he exhaled turned into scorching flas.
He exerted all his might to maintain a barrier of light, resisting the incessant onslaught of the Spectral Shadow Fiend’s dark powers.
The Spectral Shadow Fiend, like a phantom in the night, moved unpredictably.
At tis it turned into a wisp of smoke, and at others, it condensed into a terrifying shadow.
Its attacks were silent and stealthy, yet they exploded into ear-piercing shrieks and deafening roars upon contact with Owen’s shield.
The battle had reached a fever pitch.
The shockwaves of their clashing energies began to affect the surrounding landscape, with enormous fissures spreading across the ground, as if an abyss was opening its maw to devour everything.
The lightning and thunder in the sky were no longer re natural phenona but had beco an accompanint to this epic confrontation.
Each lightning strike seed to split the heavens and the earth.
Owen and the Spectral Shadow Fiend were well aware that their battle, intense as it was, could not alter the course of the universe.
This was the beginning of a massive collapse of the world.
The Spectral Shadow Fiend, as if abandoning any thought of escape, engaged in combat with Owen with singular focus, its sole intent to kill him.
Owen clenched his teeth, pushing through the turmoil within his heart.
"Then let death find here, fulfilling the black protodragon’s trust."
His gaze was resolute, his aura growing increasingly luminous.
"It’s a pity, though. Finally facing a grandmaster-tier opponent, if I could make it out of this, my strength would surely leap forward significantly."
The energy fluctuations generated by their clash were cataclysmic.
Energy storms converged, a fusion of a golden tempest and a black maelstrom, intertwining from earth to sky, spinning ceaselessly.
The scene resembled an apocalyptic painting.
Space began to warp, and ti seed to freeze.
Then, after a mont of eerie silence, the most violent explosion in history erupted.
Light and darkness, fire and smoke, earth and wind—all elents lost their balance at that mont, as if the very fabric of the universe was starting to shatter.
