Owen watched as the light around him dimd, the world seemingly on the brink of apocalypse.

He knew the world was beginning to crumble.

He and the Spectral Shadow Fiend were going to die here.

Yet, he harbored no regrets, his thoughts turning to the black protodragon’s firm and gentle gaze.

The power he wielded now was almost entirely a gift from the black protodragon.

What right did he have not to fulfill the entrusted duties of the black protodragon? A wave of lancholy swept through Owen, but the strength in his hands only grew more formidable.

If death was imminent, he had no need to hold back.

His sole focus was to pin down the Spectral Shadow Fiend, preventing any unforeseen circumstances.

The Spectral Shadow Fiend’s expression showed no sign of urgency.

It seed to have accepted its fate.

Yet, the more indifferent it beca, the more uneasy Owen felt.

The transformation of the Spectral Shadow Fiend, so different from before, left Owen with an unsettling feeling.

"You’ve given up on leaving."

The Spectral Shadow Fiend rolled its eyes: "Would you let go?"

"No."

"Then shut up. Before I die, I’ll kill you first."

Owen breathed a sigh of relief.

It seed the Spectral Shadow Fiend truly had no way to deal with him.

The boundaries of heaven and earth began to blur.

The forces of nature lost their equilibrium, as if the very foundations of the universe were being extracted.

All order and stability were rapidly disintegrating.

In the sky, dark clouds churned violently, with lightning streaking through them like wounds torn open, spewing endless sparks and flashes.

The sound of thunder was no longer a distant rumble but an explosion right at one’s ear, deafening and soul-stirring.

It was as if the wrath of the gods had descended upon the earth, heralding the apocalypse.

On the ground, fissures crisscrossed like a black spider’s web, spreading from the surface and swallowing mountains and rivers.

The earth shook and trembled, akin to a creature terrified to its core, unable to withstand the apocalyptic force tearing heaven and earth asunder.

Cities, forests, and fields lost all their color at this mont, leaving only grey desolation and deathly silence.

The lakes and seas, too, were caught in a frenzy of chaos.

Towering waves crashed relentlessly, sweeping away everything on the shores.

The waters surged inland, flooding the prosperous Loka City and rcilessly claiming countless lives.

On the lake’s surface, whirlpools swirled continuously, as if gigantic monsters were churning beneath, ready to drag the whole world into the abyss.

Volcanoes erupted, spewing lava and covering the sky with ash and smoke.

The fiery glow painted a dismal picture of the world’s end.

The scorching magma spread in all directions, incinerating all life in its path.

The air was thick with the sll of sulfur and char, making breathing a luxury.

Countless ghosts, like headless flies, whirled madly through the air.

Many unwittingly joined Owen and the Spectral Shadow Fiend’s battle, only to be torn apart and dissipated between heaven and earth.

The scene of the world’s collapse was a tapestry of chaos and destruction, a peculiar and wondrous feeling amidst the terrifying spectacle.

A sense of powerlessness welled up in Owen’s heart.

"To die having experienced the apocalypse, I suppose that makes quite a man. Not a pleasant feeling, but an experience nonetheless. If there’s a heaven, I guess I’ve given the black protodragon so explanation."

"Though, a dragon like probably belongs in hell."

Owen’s eyes glazed over, the apocalyptic vision before him undeniably striking a chord.

Such a scene of universal silence and collapsing worlds would unsettle any soul.

The red glow in the Spectral Shadow Fiend’s eyes suddenly dimd, an abrupt change that went unnoticed by the distraught Owen.

A shadowy figure darted from the Spectral Shadow Fiend’s body, heading rapidly towards a fissure in the crumbling world, nearly reaching it in the blink of an eye.

Suddenly, ti in the entire space seed to freeze.

Frost descended from the heavens, not only encasing the world in ice but seemingly freezing ti itself.

A robust figure approached slowly from the horizon, his ice-blue hair flowing freely.

His upper body was bare, revealing sculpted abs reminiscent of a classical statue.

Darkness, flas, lightning, and frost created a complex aura of light around him, lending his body a tangible quality, as if he were a man stepping out of an oil painting.

In just a couple of strides, he stood before Owen, his tone frivolous: "Prince Saint, you really do put us through a lot of worry with your heroics."

Owen’s heart leaped with joy: "Barlo, you finally ca. I thought the ssage I sent might not work."

A smirk played on Barlo’s handso face, his expression carrying an air of defiant pride: "The bloodline arcana of dragons has never failed. We saw the scene you were in, but entering this world from the outside was a bit troubleso."

The Spectral Shadow Fiend’s eyes, once ablaze with a crimson hue, now dimd with fear.

"Damn it, a grandmaster-tier dragon... I should’ve known, how could a Gold Divine Dragon not have a formidable guardian by its side? It never intervened, probably just using as a whetstone for this Gold Divine Dragon. Humph, lucky I used the Soul Rend Birth arcana. Just two more seconds, and I could have escaped."

Muttering to itself, Barlo casually gestured, and it seed as if all things in the world were within his grasp.

Owen, observing his hand, was montarily taken aback.

In Barlo’s hand was a weakened version of the Spectral Shadow Fiend.

Owen quickly glanced at the Spectral Shadow Fiend, who imdiately knelt before Barlo, eyes filled with panic:

"Grandmaster of dragons, I acknowledge my mistake. Please let leave. This avatar of mine is rely at the master-tier and won’t cause chaos once I’m out. I hope you’ll spare ; further killing will hinder your breakthrough to the sage-tier."

Barlo’s eyebrows, sharp as blades, arched slightly as he smiled: "You know quite a lot for a Demon. But if Saint wants you dead, I cannot let you live."

Suddenly, the Spectral Shadow Fiend’s deanor shifted dramatically.

Dark light gathered in its hands, and ghostly whispers surged like a tide.

Forbidden technique – Light of Annihilation Curse.

"A re trifle," Barlo waved his hand, and a warm breeze blew towards the Spectral Shadow Fiend.

The formidable aura around it lted away like snow under the sun.

Owen watched, dumbfounded.

The Spectral Shadow Fiend nearly spewed blood in frustration.

Had it not been for the use of Soul Rend Birth, which weakened its true form, how could it have been so easily overpowered?

With a slight tightening of his palm, Barlo reduced the Spectral Shadow Fiend in his hand to shards, disappearing like crushed glass.

The Spectral Shadow Fiend’s true form, like a gust of wind, whirled towards the exit.

Owen let out a dragon’s roar towards the sky: "Don’t let it escape."

Barlo snapped his fingers, the crisp sound echoing throughout the world.

The frozen space around the Spectral Shadow Fiend suddenly shattered, and a black wind, carrying imnse suction force, enveloped it.

Then, with a wail, the Spectral Shadow Fiend was sucked into a void of darkness.

"Did it escape?" Owen asked, his expression grim as he transford back into human form.

Barlo chuckled lightly: "It’s been drawn into the void. Heh, if it can make it out of there, we couldn’t have held it anyway."

Owen exhaled a sigh of relief, bowed deeply to Barlo, and said solemnly: "Barlo, thank you."

"Eh," Barlo used arcanergy to lift Owen, "No need for such words between us."

He then looked around and exclaid in wonder: "So, this is Loka City? Unbelievable. Let’s get out of here quickly; this world is collapsing. My Mystic Technique can’t hold it together for long."

"Alright."

Owen took one last look at Loka City, now completely rged with the land, indistinguishable from it.

Even the statue of the Loka Goddess was buried by the earth.

Loka City had utterly vanished.

Barlo didn’t rush him, and soon Owen said: "Let’s go."

Barlo enveloped Owen in light, and they disappeared from the spot.

Once Barlo left, the ice-blue color completely lted away, and the world’s collapse continued.

The distance between heaven and earth narrowed, the world shrinking rapidly as if sothing was sucking it in.

The world turned into a pinpoint of light and vanished into the unnad void.

The world created by the black protodragon was gone, completely erased.

Owen stood beside a well, observing its collapse and fragntation, the entrance completely buried under rocks.

"What would have happened if I had co out later?" Owen asked, gazing at the well now resembling a pile of ruins.

Barlo shrugged nonchalantly and replied: "Not sure. Many secret realms have shattered, but no one has ever returned from a broken one. Scholars speculate that the essence of a secret realm is just a random piece of space. When that fragnt shatters, everything inside is obliterated due to irresistible forces."

"Others say that our living space originated from an explosion of a point of light. Thus, when a world shatters, it may also turn into a point of light. All things dissipate, and over ti life is reborn. The space doesn’t really shatter; it’s just that everything inside it gets pulverized..."

"There are many theories," Barlo scratched his head, a rare gesture, shaking his head, "I’m not cut out for this stuff. Fighting suits better."

Owen’s mouth twitched, almost regretting he had asked.

At that mont, a voice filled with surprise ca from behind:

"Mr. Owen, you’re out."

Owen turned around to see Finn and his companions looking at him excitedly, with Erin rushing into his embrace.

"Cough, cough," Owen, noticing Barlo’s mischievous gaze, couldn’t help but cough twice.
