"Aren’t you worried?" Qin Ruo asked, unable to hide her disappointnt upon seeing Shen Weiyi’s calm reaction. She had hoped to see the other person lose their composure.
"What should I be worried about?" Shen Weiyi retorted.
Qin Ruo snorted coldly, "Of course, it’s about others finding out your identity as an illegitimate child."
As soon as she spoke, Yan Xiaoyue and Fang Jing couldn’t help but look in Shen Weiyi’s direction.
However, Shen Weiyi remained completely composed, not feeling embarrassed or ashad at all by her heritage being revealed.
When Qin Ruo t Shen Weiyi’s gaze, she felt sowhat guilty, but quickly lifted her chin and said, "You can’t bla for this, you asked to say it."
"Qin Ruo, are you mistaken?" Fang Jing whispered from the side.
"Yeah, we all share a dorm room, isn’t it a bit much to talk about others like this?" Yan Xiaoyue also defended Shen Weiyi.
Seeing both of them taking Shen Weiyi’s side, Qin Ruo imdiately beca furious and blurted out, "If you think I’m lying, you can ask her yourself. Ask her if what I’m saying is true or not. Is she or is she not a bastard child born from her dad ssing around with soone else? I’ve heard that so things are hereditary. If I were you, I’d stay away from her to avoid being seen as the sa kind of person."
"Qin Ruo, you’re going too far."
"Exactly, how can you say such things?"
Both Fang Jing and Yan Xiaoyue’s expressions changed involuntarily.
Although they didn’t know if what she said was true, a person’s birth is not sothing one can choose. Even if it were true, it wasn’t Shen Weiyi’s fault.
"I’m just telling the truth, how is that going overboard?" Qin Ruo, now knowing that they were aware of Shen Weiyi’s background and still siding with her, grew even angrier and said, "I think you’ve just been bought off by her set of costics, treasuring sothing given by a bastard child, aren’t you afraid of becoming as shaless as she is after using them?"
"You..."
Unable to argue with her, they turned to comfort Shen Weiyi, "Yiyi, don’t listen to her, we all believe in you."
"I’m fine! And she’s not wrong," Shen Weiyi responded. "It’s true my parents aren’t together, but whether or not to stay together is their choice. They haven’t hurt anyone, nor have they broken the law. There are so many single-parent families in the world; not all parents need to stay together."
Compared to those parents who abandon their children, she thought Shen Juanzhi was much better.
"What you’re doing is just sophistry, how can an illegitimate child and a child from a divorced family be the sa?" Qin Ruo felt she was being utterly shaless, making her status as an illegitimate child sound righteous.
It was clear that her parents had ssed around secretly and had her, yet she made it sound like it was totally justifiable.
Shen Weiyi: "That’s true, they are indeed different, none of them have a father who loves like mine does."
"You..." Qin Ruo found she simply couldn’t win against her.
Everything obviously wasn’t as she said, yet sohow what Shen Weiyi said seed alright.
Finally, in frustration, she snapped, "Like shaless parents, like shaless child."
Shen Weiyi’s gaze turned icy in an instant: "Let not the sins of the child reach the parents, this is the first ti, and I forgive you, but I hope there isn’t a next ti."
Qin Ruo: "Are you trying to scare ?" Even if she said it, what could it change?
Shen Weiyi’s gaze fell on her handbag placed on the table, and she suddenly spoke, "The bag you’re carrying is fake, isn’t it?"
Qin Ruo’s face changed instantly: "What nonsense are you talking about?"
