Mr. Qin ran a small company, but the economy hadn’t been good in the past few years, and he hadn’t made much money. His inco was just slightly above that of the average salaryman.
Qin Ruo usually liked to pretend she was the daughter of a wealthy family, but when Shen Weiyi suddenly exposed her use of counterfeit goods, she felt she couldn’t save face, and even her voice turned shrill.
Shen Weiyi’s gaze then fell on the new dress she bought: "Are you sure you want to keep going? This dress of yours..."
"My dress is the latest model of the season, it costs more than three thousand yuan, you don’t know anything, so don’t talk nonsense." Before she could finish, Qin Ruo anxiously interrupted her.
Shen Weiyi’s indifferent gaze swept over her face, and she did not continue.
Indeed, the genuine version of that dress did cost more than three thousand yuan, but the one Qin Ruo was wearing was worth no more than five hundred yuan.
Don’t ask her how she knew.
She had an identical one in her closet.
Every now and then, Shen Juanzhi would have soone pick out so of the season’s clothing to be delivered to their house, and she thought this particular dress was too flashy. It had been thrown in the closet since it was delivered and she had never worn it.
Qin Ruo felt extrely guilty under Shen Weiyi’s gaze.
The dress she was wearing, along with the bag she was carrying, were indeed high-quality counterfeits.
Her father’s company was unprofitable, and her allowance each month had decreased a lot. She couldn’t afford authentic designer brands but did not want to wear common brands either. Just recently, she joined a purchasing group claiming to acquire cheap designer clothing directly from the original factories; in reality, it was just a place that sold counterfeit goods.
She had seen pictures posted in the group, and they looked pretty similar to what she had seen in stores.
The dress she was wearing today and the bag she carried were all bought from that group. Although slightly more expensive than regular clothes, they were still much cheaper than the genuine articles, and most people couldn’t tell the difference anyway.
She didn’t know how Shen Weiyi had figured it out, but she was absolutely not going to admit to it.
Shen Weiyi was the type who believed in "If no one bothers , I won’t bother them, but if soone won’t leave alone, I won’t make it easy for them either." She believed in moderation, and seeing that Qin Ruo was clearly flustered, she did not go on.
She did not like to be relentless, as long as the other party was wary, that was enough.
The dorm finally returned to peace, and both Fang Jing and Yan Xiaoyue couldn’t help but heave a sigh of relief.
It was just the first day of school, and the atmosphere in the dorm was already so tense; both were a bit worried about the days to co.
Due to fear of being exposed by Shen Weiyi for wearing counterfeits from head to toe, Qin Ruo temporarily cald down, but her resentful and annoyed gaze fell on Shen Weiyi, noticing her clothing seed simple but was vaguely familiar.
She seed to recall seeing the exact sa picture in the purchasing group.
However, it was said that the designer of this brand was quite low-key, selling her clothes only to a small group of people; many didn’t even know this brand existed, let alone heard of it. Of course, this didn’t an the brand wasn’t valuable, quite the contrary, her clothes cost several tis more than other brands.
It was a case of "those who know, know; those who don’t, don’t need to," because you probably couldn’t afford it in your lifeti.
Thinking about how she even had to resort to buying fake goods through an agent for a dress costing three thousand yuan, her eyes unconsciously filled with jealousy, her heart sour beyond asure.
