Aurianna’s voice dripped with frustration as she scanned the barren landscape, her eyes darting impatiently as though she was looking for soone, "Hah, where’s Leila? I’ve been waiting here for a whole day," Aurianna grumbled as she glanced at the white screen before her to see a tir saying one day, thirty minutes, and six seconds had passed had passed since she had arrived, and still, Leila had not appeared.
Aurianna let out a deep sigh and rose from the sandy ground, the dust clinging to her as though unwilling to let her go.With a weary hand, she brushed off her clothes and turned her attention else where.
"Hmm since Leila isn’t here, lem check my stats," Aurianna blurted out and thought of her stats and imdiately the white screen revealed her stats and she grinned broadly.

[ Your level has increased by 63 you’ve received 1,260 skill points ]
"Wait a second, lem calculate here. If I got 1,260 skill points and leveled up 63 tis. Hmm, so 1,260 divided by 63 would be?" Aurianna furrowed her brow, her mind whirring as she attempted to solve the equation before her.
"Damn it," she muttered, frustration edging into her voice. "I have no idea of the answer," she blurted out with a serious expression. With a sense of despair, Aurianna slumped to the ground, her frustration boiling over. "I need a calculator," she cried dramatically.
[ You can’t do simple math. ಠ_ಠ ] the system looked at Aurianna with a disappointed expression emoji. Her eyes flicked up to the mocking screen before her, its cold gaze seeming to taunt her with its impossible calculations.
"What part about this is simple?!!" Aurianna cried as she tried using her fingers to count.
"Hmm," Aurianna got up and took a nearby stick and began drawing the equation on the ground and started to mumr so words. The stick danced over the sand as she tried to count the skill points she had accumulated, her brow creasing with concentration.
Finally, as she finished her calculations, Aurianna glared up at the unfeeling system, her eyes flashing with rage. "You’re so stingy, so you’re saying every level up I got I only get twenty skill points? This is daylight robbery, a scam!! A scam, I say."
[ If you fight the sa monster many tis, you won’t get more skill points or quest points. ] The system said blankly.
"I’ll let it slide with the quest points, but aren’t you cheating with that ager amount of skill points? I demand more!" Aurianna arched a brow, her gaze fixated on the screen before her.
[ I shall not change your points. ] the system remained firm.
"In the end, the system is sexist," Aurianna said with a straight face, and the system sighed.
[ Stop with the random comnts! ] the system retorted.
"Then give more points dammit!" Aurianna demanded.
[ No! ]
"I hate you!" she spat.
[ I don’t care. ]
"Tch, sotis I really wonder if you’re a real being. You act so human-like, yet you’re also so greedy," Aurianna comnted in a casual tone.
[ A real being huh maybe I was...] The system’s voice trailed off as a flicker of mory danced before its eyes--a face contorted in agony, its arms laced with cracks. But as quickly as the mory appeared, it vanished, replaced by cascading hues of pink codes in a dark space. It now appeared as a code that watched the Diamond’s through a screen.
"Huh did you say sothing?"Aurianna asked, having missed the system’s muttering and didn’t hear what it was clearly saying.
[ Leila would arrive shortly. ] the system inford her.
"That’s good, so now then. When did I receive so quest points for killing void Reavers?" Aurianna queried as she furrowed her brow, rubbed her chin and she squinted her eyes at the screen.
[ Well as you were busy fighting and ignored all the notifications I sent. ]
"I see, but so far, my stats look pretty decent," Aurianna nodded, satisfied with her progress. But her focus was interrupted by a sudden flash of light, and Leila appeared beside her, her face wrought with distress.
"Yo Leila, you’re here!" She greeted her with a waved.
As Aurianna approached Leila, she noticed her sister’s missing arm and and white cracks appeared around that area, "Damn, what the hell happened?!" she exclaid.
"At least try to act concerned," Leila scoffed at Aurianna’s initial nonchalance, which imdiately disappeared and was replaced with teary eyes.
"Cough, cough, what happened to your arm?" Aurianna asked with a scruffy voice, and looked at Leila with a nervous smile..
"Well it was a price to pay to use soone’s strength, yet that jackass didn’t do the job well!!" Leila grumbled.
Leila rembered the ti when she summoned King, and he made a huge blast before disappearing. Once she woke up and opened her eyes, she watched as the flying ships and cultivators were falling from the skies, all dead. Unfortunately, most of the people on the ground were safe because King missed the attack! Leila massaged her temples and she tried to figure out how soone that big could miss an easy attack.
"That bastard, I paid you with my arm, and you didn’t even do the freaking job right! This is why I hate using King, despite his power, he has a horrible habit of not being able to land a direct attack!" Leila blabbered endlessly and Aurianna took a few steps back, seeing Leila’s brows furrowed.
"I wonder what she’s so cranky about," Aurianna mumbled to herself and watched Leila take in a deep breath and cald down.
"If you’d like, I can heal it up for you, I’m a healer after all!"
"No need, your magic isn’t going to work," Leila shook her head.
"You would never know unless I try, Wings of Seraphim!!" Aurianna shouted, unleashing a blindingly bright light with wings that enveloped Leila’s severed arm. But after several minutes, nothing happened, leaving Aurianna standing there in stunned silence.
"Maybe this skill is dog shit," Aurianna cursed angrily.
"Don’t worry, it will heal on its own after a few years of being here." Leila smiled weakly at Aurianna, her left arm clutched in pain and sweat trickling down her face.
"Well, it’s nice to see you’re doing well!" Aurianna gave a thumbs up to Leila, who shook her head.
The two of them stared into each other’s eyes for a long ti before Leila broke the silence. "Do you even have friends?" She asked, Aurianna froze in shock at the sudden question.
"Friends, huh? Of course, I have!!" Aurianna declared proudly, "I think."
"Oh, so who are your so-called friends?" Leila rubbed her chin and Aurianna’s eyes stared away from her and struggled to co up with nas.
"Well there’s Eva, Zagan, ummm.... Hmm... there’s priest Hotron and ummm well.....," Aurianna bit on her nails and Leila let out a light chuckle.
"What are you laughing for?" Aurianna questioned as she puffed her cheeks.
"Well, that explains a lot of why your communication skills suck!" Leila said straightforward, and Aurianna felt as though a knife had been struck at her heart.
"What is the use of manipulation skills if you can’t even make friends?" Leila added, and Aurianna frowned.
"Urgh. Even having friends is utterly useless, and they’re more of a burden than help," Aurianna claid.
But Leila countered with a sly grin. "That’s what you think, but it’s quite easy to use friends, especially the faithful ones who would even die for you." Aurianna’s eyes widened, and she listened to Leila’s words carefully, "A person can survive alone if it suits them, but so people are more reliant on others and can’t live alone. And example is if the world is against one individual, your defeat is eminent, but those odds change when you have people by your side, useful people, not useless ones. Like you said, winning fights isn’t all about brute strength. ntal factors also affect the outco of a battle."
Aurianna’s eyes shimred with a nacing glint as she crossed her arms, the weight of her mories bearing down on her like a heavy shroud. "Does it an I should treat everyone around nicely?" she asked, her voice steeped in bitterness and resentnt.
Leila shook her head, her lips curling into an unsettling grin, "No, from your mories you’ve already established a bad reputation for yourself, you should keep it that way. I see no reason to be nice to people who ruined your life. Why bother trying to win them over now? After all, they’ll all et their demise in due ti, won’t they, sister?"
Aurianna smiled evilly, "Of course! When I get strong enough, I would bury that wretched place in the ground alongside with all its inhabitants!" she declared proudly and posed on a stone, that bordered on arrogance, causing Leila to have a dumbfounded expression. ’Was the pose necessary?’
Leila quickly regained her composure and pressed on, "Then it ans you’ll need a large force of people."
"True, I guess I should start making new friends that can help with my future goals!" Aurianna nodded thoughtfully.
"Why not start a church?" Leila suggested, and Aurianna’s body trembled a bit.
"That was my idea but now I think deaper about it that’s ridiculous. Mortals can’t start a church, only gods and goddesses can!" Aurianna’s body stiffened at the suggestion, her palms clenching into fists as she gritted her teeth.
Leila noticed the fear that flickered in her sister’s eyes and pressed on. "Are the gods truly so terrifying in your world?"
Aurianna nodded, "During the first world war, when the heroes were wreaking havoc on our world, the gods imdiately stopped them with a re spell," Aurianna’s voice wavered as she spoke.
Leila scoffed as she sat on a rock, "That doesn’t sound all that impressive to ."
Aurianna’s gaze hardened. "You don’t understand. The gods’ power is sothing to be feared. Those Heroes had reached the pinnacle of Human evolution, the Primordial Human."
"And they were stopped? How?" Leila frowned.
"Even the weakest of the gods could kill a Hero with ease and devour them. I won’t say the gods are really bad. It’s just that their power is sothing one should fear greatly and they are a force not to be trifled with."
"So you won’t kill that god?" A slight smile played across Leila’s lips as she asked.
"Who says I won’t kill her?" Aurianna’s eyes flickered with darkness as she responded with determination, "That bitch Paige, I’m going to make her regret ruining my life!"
"All the other gods might co after you." Leila mused.
"Wow that sounds like a lot of work," Aurianna said surprised.
"Well, what did you expect?!!" Leila yelled at her and rubbed her temples, ’I still can’t fully understand how she thinks.’
Aurianna’s eyes turned dark, but the look of determination could be seen in them, "If it ans I must fight many gods after killing Paige, then so be it." She gripped her palms tightly, "That ans I must be super-duper strong. However, the limit of mortals can restrict one’s growth."
"But are we truly mortals? The church is the best factor to brainwash others to align with your beliefs. Even if we aren’t goddesses, Eva is a goddess, so truly is there anything to hold you back," Leila got closer to Aurianna and whispered seductively into her ears.
Aurianna stepped back and looked at Leila with a dumb expression, "This is getting too serious. Do you know how hard it is to manage a church and its finances? I’m not even done with my economics and managent lessons with Eva." She shook her head.
Leila pouted, "But I don’t think my suggestion is so bad, maybe I should try it out myself. Why should I risk my life and fight when I can make others do it for ?"
"I ca up with that idea!"
"Yes you did dear sister, I find it truly amazing how your intelligence grows, you’re a lot smarter than how you were in the past."
Aurianna rolled her eyes, "You don’t have to remind of that. Furthermore, we’ve been chatting for too long, let’s go fight already!"
"Oh, so you were waiting for ?" Leila asked and giggled at her sister’s cute behavior.
"Why would I wait for a commoner like you? I just arrived a few seconds before you did!" Aurianna flipped her hair and Leila stared at her with a dumb expression, ’Is it so hard for you to just admit you waited for ?’
"I wonder, can we both be friends?" Leila asked calmly, and Aurianna looked at her.
"If you try to use , that isn’t going to work," Aurianna glared at Leila and she giggled.
"Well I did plan on that, but I guess you can use too," Leila held Aurianna’s and clasped it in hers.
"Your smile gives shivers," Aurianna blurted out.
"Well, I do prefer to smile than have that angry look all the ti. You’ll be ugly you know," Leila stepped make with a concerned look.
"Do you wanna die?" Aurianna threatened as she brought out her revolver.
"As if you can even kill ," Leila sneered and veins popped up on Aurianna’s face, as she was ready to pull the trigger.
Aurianna’s veins bulged as she prepared to pull the trigger, but she then sighed in frustration, "Hah, this fight is useless, once I’m done getting strong enough, before the year’s end in this world I shall fight you!!"
"I look forward to that." Leila nodded with anticipation
Aurianna’s eyes glead with excitent as she leaped to her feet, "Let’s go kill more Void Reavers!!" she exclaid.
