Chapter 96: A Brutal Battle
"I thought you said he has the stench of a new Otherworlder from him."
The female student asked, the male’s eyes remaining narrowed.
"I did."
"His visage... It’s as if an Otherworlder already takes over his mind."
She said, looking at White, especially at his eyes,
Those...weren’t the eyes of a human.
"It hasn’t."
He replied, sure of his words.
"But humans aren’t like this, Oragon."
THUMP!
The ground thudded as the man took a step forward.
"Stay back, Nora. I’ll handle this."
Stepping forward toward the crouching White, each step made the ground shake until he came to a stop three meters away.
"I am Oragon. You should know that much before you."
VROOOOM!
The air shook as White flashed away from where he stood.
BOOOOOM!
A fist smashed through the air as Oragon took a single step backward before smashing a fist forward.
A shockwave undulated forth as both fists collided, sending out the sound of metal grinding against metal.
"Who cares about your bloody name?"
White asked, and in the next moment, his second hand smashed toward Oragon’s jaw.
In reply, Oragon smashed out with his second fist, but just before they collided, White’s fist trajectory changed, swerving past Oragon’s fist.
BAAAAANG!
Oragon’s head jerked backward as the fist slammed right into his face, sending him staggering three steps back.
BOOOOM!
A second explosion rang out as White slammed out his leg, connecting with Oragon’s stomach and blowing him further back.
All of a sudden, the ground thudded as Oragon burst forward with both arms raised to grab White, but in return, a knee connected into his face, sending him even further back as a rain of ceaseless attacks followed.
All of this was observed by Nora like an audience to a fight.
It was one-sided domination.
"His combat ability is top-notch."
"His attacks are precise, and he almost seems to be able to predict Oragon’s attacks before he even makes them."
Nora mused beneath her breath.
"But there’s no power at all. No essence energy, no Otherworld energy... nothing at all. He will still die."
Following her words,
ROOOOOAAAAR!
A powerful roar boomed through the air as White, who was rushing forward, had his motion immediately stopped.
His hands crossed over each other as the sonic wave pushed him back, his feet dragging across the rocky ground.
BOOOOM!
BOOOOM!
Heavy thudding sounded before him as he raised his hands to the sight of a massive fist glowing with dark energy.
He tried to block by crossing both hands,
BAAAAANG!
CRAAAAACK!
A heavy explosion followed by the sound of bones cracking.
White felt the devastating force seep through his wrists, breaking his wrist bones into fragments as his hands were forced into his chest.
What followed next was the unmistakable sound of his ribs snapping, and he was instantly blown off his feet.
Landing on the ground, he coughed out a mouthful of blood.
A hand grabbed onto his head, dragging him upward, and he was met with a knee slamming into his skull.
A fist followed next, slamming into his face, before his entire head was nailed to the ground.
BAAAANG!
BAAAANG!
BAAAANG!
Three slams in a row, before,
PIERCE!
RIIIIP!
The sound of air being torn echoed as White pierced forward with his hands like blades.
His fingers speared into Oragon’s left eye, destroying it within the socket.
BOOOOOOM!
That made Oragon’s hold of him slip, but a fist slammed into his face once more, sending him rolling across the ground.
White’s heartbeat slowly died down as he remained on his back.
His knuckles?
...crushed to pieces.
His wrists?
...left in fragments.
His ribs?
...broken in two and piercing out his skin.
His skull?
...enveloped in cracks.
THUD!
THUD!
Heavy footsteps rang out as Oragon stepped toward him, coming to stand before the boy.
"Never thought a newly fused like yourself would give me so much trouble."
He said, as the broken remains of his eye leaked from the socket.
His hand shifted in the next moment, pitch-black gas leaking out and taking the shape of a blade.
PIERCE!
The blade lunged forward, digging into White’s right shoulder.
It carved through bone like butter, cleaving off his entire arm.
"I’ll reward your effort by taking my time severing every bone from your torso before severing your head."
Oragon said with a sickening smile, his blade drifting to White’s left shoulder.
Once more, it dug in, cutting apart flesh and joints.
Yet, instead of pain, all Oragon saw was a smile.
"You’ll need to cause me more pain than that before you get what you want."
White said.
Oragon yanked his blade out, a vein of anger crawling across his forehead.
"Let’s see if you still keep that smile up with a stab to your heart!"
He said with a wicked grin, but then,
BAAAAAAANG!
A heavy slam struck his ankle, knocking him off balance.
His blade still pierced into White’s chest, but in return, White grabbed at his arm and jerked downward, driving the blade deeper while pulling Oragon closer.
It brought him close enough to have his neck less than half a meter from White’s face.
With a forceful jerk, White’s body shot upward, his teeth widening before clamping down on Oragon’s throat.
ACCCK!
A groan of pain left the man’s lips as he grabbed White’s shoulder and pulled away with all of his force, but in so doing,
RIIIIIIIIP!
Blood poured outward as half his neck was torn open by White’s teeth.
His hands clutched his neck as he staggered backward in horror,
"Nora..."
He forced out, reaching toward her.
But she didn’t move an inch.
Oragon never reached her before collapsing onto his side, clutching his neck.
The gushing blood never stopped.
Soon enough, his jerking ceased as he drew his final breath.
Nora turned away from the corpse and forward.
There stood White, who staggered back onto his feet, turning his gaze toward her.
"Come..."
His voice was low, like an evil whisper from a succubus.
"Come and end it."
