Chapter 77: Professional Badge
Desther took a quick glance and saw a ssage that ca from Lexie.
"It’s you, Desther, right?"
Seeing that question, Desther imdiately realized that she was actually not sure that this was indeed his Professional Tube account.
Even if he did not answer this question, Lexie would have probably learned the truth already because of his cryptic ssage earlier.
"Where did you get my account?"
Instead of answering, Desther decided to ask a question instead.
He did not rember giving anyone his userna. No matter how he tried to analyze it, he still could not think of any possible scenario on how she got his userna.
"Secret."
Shaking his head, Desther closed the app and put his phone away.
Closing his eyes, Desther drifted to sleep almost imdiately.
...
anwhile, Lexie stared at her ssage that was left on seen by Desther.
A few minutes passed, yet she received no reply.
A pout surfaced on her face.
She took a glance at her profile page and saw her posts that received a lot of likes.
Although it felt good at first, gaining too much popularity was actually a double-edged sword in her opinion.
...
Morning ca in the blink of an eye.
As usual, Desther felt refreshed as he sat up from his bed.
Doing his daily morning routine, he suddenly received a text from the school that they can go back to school today to collect their Professional Badge.
Teacher Rosa also ntioned that she would do a short discussion and then another activity to hone their skills.
Desther made his daily workout but felt that everything was already too light. Even when he added so weights, he still felt that it made no difference.
He had grown so significantly stronger that even his usual intense routine felt like walking for him.
Even trying harder variations did not make any difference.
One thing to take note of as well was the fact that he had once again grown taller. Now at a full 179 centiters.
Growing 1.5 centiters in a single day was magical, to say the least.
Though, Desther was worried that he might grow as tall as a building if this keeps up in the future.
Anyway, there were no reports regarding humans growing as tall as buildings except for those affected by their talent and skills.
Desther thought that he should be safe.
After he was done with his not-so-intense workout, he prepared his breakfast before he ran toward Radiant Dawn College.
The place that he was renting was a little far from the campus. However, this distance does not matter for Desther, as he liked to do cardio before going to school as well.
He arrived at school thirty minutes later.
Running all the way here could no longer make him sweat.
Perhaps it was ti for him to search for a new workout regi. One that would make him feel the intensity of his muscles working out.
After he changed his clothes, Desther went directly inside their classroom.
There were already a lot of them inside. As usual, talking with each other, sharing what they have been doing, and so on.
For obvious reasons, Desther did not join in on their conversation, still preparing the silence as one of the backbenchers.
As he sat down, Desther took out his phone and prepared to read so novels as a way to pass ti.
A mont later, though, Teacher Rosa arrived with a box on hand, so he reluctantly kept his phone away, not wanting to attract any trouble.
"Good morning, everyone."
"I’m glad to tell you that your Professional Badge is already here. For those of you who have chosen to beco Lifestyle Professionals, after you receive your badge, you may transfer to your respective classes."
The class nodded their heads in understanding.
Those who chose to beco Lifestyle Professionals were already briefed regarding this as well.
Lifestyle Professionals do not need to fight to level up and earn money. The World System would still reward them with experience points for their achievents, like making a potion or healing soone.
The first kill to unlock their Profile Page was sowhat mandatory, hence the reason why they still needed to perform their first kill.
It all ended well, except for so injuries that had mostly healed after so ti.
Teacher Rosa went silent as she opened the box that she was carrying.
"Alright, stay in your seats, everyone. I will be distributing your Professional Badges in a bit," she said with a smile.
Handing out Professional Badges to her students was one of the many reasons why she pursued being a teacher.
Seeing the next generation grow so well made her feel elated as well.
She then began distributing everyone’s Professional Badge.
When Desther got his Professional Badge, he could not help but stare at it for a few monts.
The Professional Badge was tallic silver in color.
The Philippine flag was plastered on top of the badge. Looking at it, Desther saw that the red-colored field of the flag was actually on top. This signifies that the Philippines were in a state of war.
An indication that it was the ti of conflict, patriotism, and ergency.
The badge’s size was actually very small, it was not even bigger than his palm.
As he tried to pinch it, he realized that it was actually quite tough.
According to what he knew, these badges were actually made of a new tal discovered inside a dungeon.
According to them, these Professional Badges were a good conductor of mana.
If an Awakened Professional has one, it also helps them concentrate and be free of basic negative effects.
"Now that everyone has received their badge, make sure that you keep it safe since it won’t be free the second ti around. From now on, those Professional Badges will serve as your identification docunt."
Fiddling over the badge, Desther stared ahead and listened to what Teacher Rosa was saying.
Although he had seen a Professional Badge before, this was actually the first ti that he had seen it up close.
It felt cold to the touch, but he knew for himself just how hot and important this item was.
"Once you are done inspecting your badges, I will give you guys five minutes to say goodbye to your friends that will transfer to the Lifestyle Professional departnt."
Hearing that, those who chose becoming a Lifestyle Professional imdiately stood up from their seat.
They had just started getting to know each other, but they were now going to separate because of the different path they must take.
"Don’t cry. I promise I will make you a healing concoction once I learn it."
"Hahaha! You can say that from that mont onward, I will beco your drug supplier—"
The student was not able to finish his sentence as a fist flew and landed on his shoulders.
"I am not crying. Also, make sure to keep your mouth shut, lest you say sothing out of the ordinary and you’ll end up in prison."
Such scenes were replayed around the room.
From his rough count, Desther realized that there were actually 6 students that chose to beco Lifestyle Professionals. Although this was not considered a lot, it was not a little either.
"Alright, ti is up. Those who chose Lifestyle Professional may now proceed to your other class. Those who choose Combat Professionals, stay. We will be discussing attribute compositions as well as the potential class you can awaken by following a pattern."
Everyone settled down as the aspiring Lifestyle Professional students left their view.
Seeing that everyone had already settled down, Teacher Rosa nodded her head in approval.
"Alright, since everyone has already unlocked their Profile Page, can anyone tell
the five primary attributes that every Awakened Professional has?"
Eager to prove their intelligence, one student after the other raised their hand to answer the question.
After a brief mont, Teacher Rosa pointed a finger to one particular direction, choosing the lucky warrior to answer the question.
"There are five primary attributes that every Awakened Professional has. First is the Vitality attribute, second is the Strength attribute, third is Agility attribute, fourth is the Intelligence attribute and last is the Wisdom attribute."
"Good job. Looks like soone has been familiarizing themselves with their Profile Page. Has anyone done the sa?"
The students nodded their heads bashfully. After all, most of them had indeed been staring at their Profile Page since the other day, so even lacked sleep due to it.
"Its good that you guys are doing that. Checking your Profile Page from ti to ti is actually recomnded, after all, one could never know what will change. By checking it regularly, you lessen the chance of you missing sothing in your Profile Page," Teacher Rosa added with a smile of reassurance.
"Anyway, since everyone has already studied your own Profile Page, let’s just skip that part and proceed to the next one."
"Now, who among you received experience points the other day?"
