Chapter 76: Celestial Kingdom

"Alright, done," He said calmly as he snapped his finger twice, acting as if he had truly used his skill to put trackers on them.

Although they felt nothing, the two n were actually convinced that there was indeed a tracker on them right now.

The waiter even instinctively touched his throat, feeling as if the tracker was placed there, and that one thought from Desther would an the tracker going off to kill.

After terrorizing the two of them, Desther did not linger in the area any longer and swiftly returned to his new apartnt.

It was a long and tiring day for Desther.

A lot has happened, but fortunately he was able to outdo them successfully.

Laying on his new bed, Desther decided to doom scroll once before sleeping.

As a bonafide lazy man, this was a habit he did not want to get rid of.

It may feel unproductive for others, but for Desther, this was actually what productivity looked like.

Scrolling through a lot of videos and posts, knowing a little bit about everything, culminating knowledge slowly.

As he doom scrolled, the group called The Thinkers once again popped up on his screen.

He clicked the group na and went through the topics that were recently talked about by them.

When he arrived at the group page, Desther imdiately saw the previous post now pinned as the top topic for this week,

Thousands have already given their input and comnted their thoughts regarding Joechicken’s guess.

Rumming through the comnts, it was still a mixture of positive and negative feedback. Of course, the trolls were even more nurous, just making fun with each other as the other seriously talked about the said topic.

One particular entry also caught Desther’s attention.

Shane_Mcnel: You guys are late. A friend of mine in China had actually awakened an S-Grade Talent. And yes, he was indeed inside a dungeon mutation when that happened. You can go search everything up, as long as you can understand their language, that is.

Alexander_Star: I’ve heard of that as well. I think China is already preparing to announce it to the public so that they can claim that it was them who awakened the first S-Grade Awakened Professional.

Giantchasm300: Why do guys still refer to them as China. Didn’t they change their na to Celestial Kingdom?

Cyblademax: First!

The comnt started to get chaotic once more.

As he read them, though, Desther could not help but ponder about so things.

If what Shane_Mcnel was true, then perhaps Lexie had indeed awakened an S-Grade talent at that ti of their awakening.

That was only his speculation, though.

There was still a chance that his awakening the SSS-Grade talent was truly the cause of the dungeon’s mutation on his side.

Though, if all of it was real, he could not help but think what would happen next.

Now that S-Grade Awakeners were starting to surface, then does this not an that the situation would just beco chaotic later on?

Even though humanity seed to now possess the capability to defend themselves, and had even gained peace in the past year or two.

One could say that at this mont, everything was already getting better.

However, as they say, weapons were made not during tis of war, but before it.

Considering that perspective, it would seem like the world was preparing for sothing to co.

And its preparation might be to awaken the S-Grade Talents.

If that was real, then perhaps, the theory that the World has its own Will might have so truth to it as well.

’If it’s preparing for a massive war... then we, the one who awakened the S-Grade and above talent, would surely beco the weapon, or even pawn.’

’Destined to be humanity’s savior, huh...’

’More like destined to be a pawn.’

’Too bad, being a pawn isn’t to my taste.’

Desther thought to himself, plans ford inside his head.

If all the speculations were true, then the only thing he could do was to get as strong as possible and not allow himself to beco a simple discardable pawn.

Anyway, all of it will co to light in a few days.

Once the China or Celestial Kingdom announced the truthfulness of this matter, the other country who experienced the sa would soon announce their S-Grade Talents one after the other.

Too bad though that according to the news, the Philippines only have one mutated dungeon during the awakening ceremony a week ago.

At least, only one was announced on the internet.

Then this could only an that there could only be one S-Grade talent for the Philippines.

Desther decided to stop his speculation regarding this matter.

After all, instead of speculating, it would be better to ask the question himself.

Opening the ssages section, Desther quickly searched for Lexie’s userna CoraEixel and sent her a ssage.

"You? S?"

A word and a letter.

It was a simple cryptic ssage that only those in the know would understand and realize.

If it was indeed he had guessed, then Lexie would surely understand what he ant.

If not, then that could only an that only Desther himself was the sole high-grade talent user in the Philippines.

The userna soon turned online.

His ssage was labeled as seen, before a ’typing’ status appeared right below his chat icon.

"Y"

Her answer was swift and cryptic.

However, that was all he needed to know the answer.

He was not worried that Lexie did not understand his ssage either.

She was a smart girl after all. She would also not reply to sothing like that if she did not understand the cryptic ssage.

What Desther did not expect though was for her to admit it imdiately.

He actually expected for her to lie and even deny it. Well, it was good this way. No need to waste any ti regarding this one.

Desther replied with the letter ’k’ before closing the app, planning to sleep and take a rest.

However, a new ssage ca right before he was able to close the app.
