Suddenly, Sylvia found herself in a new place. Looking around, she noticed she was in a damp, dense forest, surrounded by colossal trees whose thick canopies blocked almost all sunlight, plunging the environnt into an oppressive gloom.
Among the twisted trunks, massive shadows moved: they were enormous orcs with greenish skin, ard with serrated axes and bone-tipped spears. Their guttural grunts echoed through the woods, mingling with the rustling of leaves and the snapping of branches under their heavy feet.
’Your mission is to kill all the orcs,’
The sa overly enthusiastic voice from before resonated in her mind, informing her of what she needed to do.
The girl summoned two swords into her hands and prepared for the attack. Moving silently, she hid in the shadows of the area and approached one of the opponents softly.
The mont the orc turned to see who was approaching from behind, a swift cut occurred. Even though the orc’s skin was extrely tough, to Sylvia, it seed as soft as butter.
"One down," Sylvia whispered under her breath.
Suddenly, a low grunt echoed to her left. Sylvia quickly turned, her swords ready. A massive orc erged from the bushes, wielding a rusty axe. He roared, baring his sharp teeth, and charged toward her.
Sylvia didn’t hesitate. With a quick movent, she dodged her enemy’s clumsy strike, and in the blink of an eye, her right sword sliced through the air, striking the orc’s neck.
The monster’s head rolled to the ground before its body had ti to fall. But Sylvia didn’t waste ti thinking about it, as she noticed another enemy approaching.
This orc was more cautious, holding a heavy club with both hands. He tried to attack Sylvia with a sideways swing, but she blocked it with one sword and, with the other, pierced his heart.
However, the monster let out a loud grunt, and soon more enemies erged around the girl. One of the monsters approached, attempting to attack her with a spear, but she easily dodged it and, with a quick spin, her swords crossed in a swift motion that left the orc in pieces.
Next, she managed to hide among the trees of the forest and set traps to deal with most of the enemies. The girl was considerably more powerful than the orcs individually. Moreover, she was fast and silent enough to face them one by one.
Because of this, at first, she was able to hunt those beasts with ease.
Then, she advanced with impressive speed, moving like a blur among the enemies. Each strike left a crimson trail in the air as bodies fell one after another.
The numbers dwindled rapidly, in the blink of an eye, the enemies went from ten to five, then to three. The last ones tried to retreat, but desperation clouded their instincts. Before they could even react, only two adversaries remained.
However, before Sylvia could attempt to face them, she heard a deafening roar echo through the forest, causing the leaves on the trees to tremble and birds to flee in panic. Then, the two remaining orcs fled in desperation.
From the dense shadows erged a colossal orc, whose imposing presence was enough to send a chill down the spine of even the bravest.
He was visibly larger than the other orcs, with muscles that seed carved from stone and heavy armor that creaked with every movent.
In one hand, he held a broad and rusty sword, and in the other, a gigantic axe that seed capable of splitting trees in half with a single blow.
His eyes glowed with primal fury, and his face was marked by scars from past battles.
Before the girl could react, the orc charged with surprising speed for his size, straight towards Sylvia. With a brutal blow from his axe, he struck the ground near her, creating a crater and sending a shockwave that hurled Sylvia away.
She flew through the air, hitting a tree before falling to the ground, stunned. Pain ran through her body, but she quickly tried to recover, gripping her swords tightly, even feeling the weight of the impact.
Sylvia, still recovering, watched as the beast approached her with deliberately slow steps. The being had an air of confidence and a mocking smile.
It was almost as if he was saying that Sylvia could take all the ti in the world to recover, as he would win the fight anyway.
’Congratulations, you are almost at the end of the test. Defeat the champion orc and you can proceed to the next level.’
Then the fight finally restarted as the girl stood up. However, in an instant, the champion orc managed to pressure Sylvia.
"I don’t recomnd you underestimate ," the girl said in a cold tone, as her eyes glead with murderous intent.
Then a wave of powerful magic emanated throughout the forest, as she activated her transformation. And her eyes now had an intense bluish glow.
Sylvia advanced rapidly with even more force than before. A blade began to form from her hand, and the mont she clashed against her opponent’s axe, the blade fully ford.
Boom!
The champion orc was surprised by the power of his enemy’s attack, so he took a step back. But soon his fury reignited, and he once again lunged to attack his enemy aggressively.
However, the girl managed to dodge the blows, barely, as she studied her opponent. And in a short ti, she understood the attack pattern of that beast, making it easier to dodge his attacks.
"I’m sorry, but you have no chance against ," she said calmly.
The champion orc, furious at not being able to hit his opponent, roared and charged at her with all his brute strength. Despite this, the girl continued to dodge with so ease.
With an almost imperceptible movent, her sword cut through the air, and an orc’s arm flew away, severed with frightening precision.
The monster howled in pain, but had no ti to react, as the girl advanced and managed to cut his body in several places. Thus, she weakened her opponent little by little, sapping his strength.
The champion orc, realizing imminent defeat, roared in despair and tried to flee. But Sylvia pursued him relentlessly. With a final blow, her sword pierced the monster’s neck, and the orc’s heavy, adorned body fell to the ground, inert.
’Congratulations on your achievent, if you wish, I can give you an extra reward if you finish exterminating all the orcs and goblins in the forest.’
The voice sounded, and noticing how defeating the leader of those monsters was not a great difficulty, Sylvia accepted the mission.
What followed was a bloodbath. The girl advanced on the two remaining orcs and killed them with ease.
Then she continued in a battle of resistance, hunting and killing all the many goblins that advanced against her. But despite the wear and tear, she managed to eliminate them all, without major problems.
And at the end of it all, a mist of blood spread, as decapitated heads rolled across the ground.

anwhile, Cain, the one who had faked his own death to escape Sherazade’s clutches, teleported to the sa ti where Sylvia and Davi already were.
He wandered the area cautiously, hoping Sherazade wouldn’t discover his presence. Luckily, when she arrived, he was the only survivor of the group, which ant there was no one left to report the location of that place to her. Still, he knew she would eventually figure it out.
But if he was fast enough, perhaps he could get his hands on the Holy Ark. If that object was truly as powerful as the legends said, destroying Sherazade wouldn’t be a problem. In fact, no one else would be able to stand in his way.
And after much walking, he finally found the room he was looking for. However, the man discovered it was too late. Soone had already started the trial, and there was nothing he could do to stop them at that point.
Moreover, once the trial began, he would need to wait at least a decade to have the right to attempt it himself.
For a mont, despair took hold of the man’s mind as he realized that one of his few plans for survival had failed.
Additionally, if whoever was taking that trial succeeded in obtaining the Holy Ark, stealing it would be impossible. And if they failed, there would be no point in fighting them—not when he was running for his life.
In other words, regardless of the outco, there would be no chance of survival... or maybe there was? He knew. In fact, he was certain. The only person who could be inside was that annoying boy: Davi.
And if that brat had already done the impossible so many tis, perhaps... just perhaps... he could do it once more.
If Cain could convince him to face Sherazade, there was a small chance the boy might defeat her. Or at least weaken her enough for Cain to escape.
And he had a strong argunt to persuade him. After all, he knew very well that, at that very mont, Sherazade was heading to the camp where the boy’s companions were.
Thus, his last hope rested precisely on the one who, until then, had been his enemy.
