Since the two still had so ti before facing the final challenge, Davi decided to take the opportunity to clear up so doubts he had been harboring for a long ti.
"Okay, that ability you use to increase the density of your creations, how is that possible?" he asked, while creating a sword and attempting to increase its density, but without any success.
"You know I have the Enki transformation ability, right?"
"Yes," he replied, unsure how one thing was related to the other. After all, the description of the transformation ability only stated that it granted the user more speed, more mana, and the awakening of latent potential.
What exactly was this latent potential? Davi had no idea.
Noticing the boy’s confusion, Sylvia smiled slightly and explained, "Everyone in my family has this ability. But it does sothing different for each of us. When we transform, it’s as if we can imagine sothing that was previously impossible."
As she spoke, the girl began to gather mana in the palm of her hand. But unlike her usual instantaneous creations, the mana continued to accumulate.
"Ever since I used the transformation for the first ti, I’ve naturally been able to accumulate mana to create denser objects. However, when I’m not in my transford state, it takes longer."
After saying this, the tallic sphere she was creating was finally completed, and she handed it to Davi. As expected, the object was much heavier than it should have been.
Still, it was nothing compared to the level of density of the creations she used in combat. After all, she wouldn’t waste so much mana on sothing like this.
"To be honest, even the creation ability varies from person to person. For example, my sister can only create small objects," Sylvia explained.
The truth was that the creation ability usually had strong limitations. Sylvia was the exception, being able to create very large objects as well as almost anything, as long as it was simple.
"Wait, if I use the transformation at least once in my life, shouldn’t I be able to have a similar revelation?"
"I imagine so," Sylvia nodded. "But don’t get your hopes up, Master. Since you can’t use both abilities at the sa ti, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to do much."
With this, Davi finally understood what the girl ant when she said he couldn’t deal much damage with only one ability at a ti. Her class, like many others, only reached its full potential when multiple abilities were used in combination.
"Just one more thing, how are you able to wield such a heavy weapon?" he finally asked.
"I’m not," she replied, once again gathering mana in her hand, this ti creating a sword.
Then she created a target. Finally, with ease, she raised her hand, in which mana was accumulating, beginning to form sothing resembling a sword.
"Mana has no weight, so as long as I haven’t finished my creation, it’s almost as if I’m lifting sothing with no mass at all."
Then, Sylvia raised her right arm effortlessly, keeping her eyes fixed on the target. The blade of her sword glowed faintly, its shape seeming to float. This was a sign that her creation was about to be completed.
With a fluid and precise motion, the small girl swung the sword downward, the tip of the blade aid directly at the target with almost mathematical precision.
A few monts before impact, Sylvia completed the creation of the sword. The blade, which had previously seed ethereal, materialized into a real object. But it didn’t exactly look like tal, it had an intense blue glow.
The girl herself had never thought much about it, but Davi thought it looked as if the mana had solidified in its purest form.
In any case, at that point in the motion, the trajectory was already set. Sylvia didn’t need to exert more force or handle the heavy sword, she simply let gravity and inertia do the work.
With a sharp sound that echoed through the environnt, the sword struck the target with a powerful blow. The blade cut through the object as if it were butter, which shouldn’t have been possible given the little force Sylvia used to swing the sword.
Moreover, Davi couldn’t help but be impressed by how sharp the blade was that was created using the girl’s power.
"Just attack at the right mont. Or simply leap onto my enemy and release my sword or spear, letting gravity do the rest," she explained. "That’s why this ability can easily be countered by soone who understands it well."
She continued explaining how easy it would be to dodge her attacks once they realized how limited they were. And that was one of the reasons she hesitated so much to reveal her powers.
It was also why she only truly fought when no one was around. She didn’t want anyone to have the chance to learn about it.
Of course, Davi was an exception, since she had already chosen him as her master. Although a little concerned about what her older sister would think of this, Sylvia had no intention of changing her decision.
’I regret to inform you, but the rest period is over.’
Both of them heard that overly cheerful voice announcing it once again.
’The final test will be a hunt.’
After that voice spoke, a white light enveloped both of them. Then, they were each sent to different locations. Each received a different mission, as this was an individual test.
While Sylvia could imdiately begin her own fight, Davi had to temporarily stop in a strange room. And looking around, he had no idea where he was.
The floor beneath his feet was made of a smooth, tallic material, faintly reflecting the soft and pale lighting from the ceiling. The walls were tall, curved, and smooth, with no visible doors or windows, just a cold, silent emptiness that seed to stretch infinitely.
He furrowed his brow, feeling an odd discomfort in that place. Everything there seed... artificial. There was no sound of wind, nor any vibration in the air. Just the absolute silence and the distant echo of his own breath.
Before he could take another step, a tallic sound echoed through the room, like gears softly turning. In the center of the space, a silhouette began to take form, erging from a blinding white glow.
Gradually, the outlines beca clearer. It was a humanoid figure, entirely white, with no facial features, no clothing, or any details that distinguished it. Its body seed to be made of a smooth, uniform material, almost like a living statue carved from gleaming marble.
"Hello,"
As the creature spoke those words, a mouth appeared on its completely smooth face. That said, it still had no eyes, which gave it a strange and sowhat uncomfortable appearance.
"Sorry, but I can’t let you take the test yet," the being in front of Davi said, and its voice resonated inside his mind.
Obviously, the boy couldn’t help but notice how that voice was very similar to the one he had heard before in all the announcents.
"Yes, if you want to know, I am the one responsible for conducting the test. And I deeply appreciate your presence," the being said, then scratched its head and made a sound that seed like forced crying. "I was getting bored and sad after so many centuries without anyone visiting ."
Davi found everything about this situation strange and wanted to ask many questions, but before he could say anything, the being introduced itself:
"Call Gilg," it smiled kindly. "Unfortunately, I can’t answer any of your questions. And more importantly, we need to talk about the test."
With that, seven female silhouettes appeared in the air. None of them had clear characteristics, but Davi had the intuition that they represented the girls in his harem.
"Unfortunately, this test must be done alone. And although only your body is here, I noticed the presence of seven souls that seem to be following you."
The being scratched its head and then lanted, saying that this was indeed a very unique ability that Davi had.
"Unfortunately, I can’t allow you to use this power while doing the test. It would be impossible for you to pass the test without that ability. And I don’t like impossible tests."
After saying this, the being remained silent for a while, clearly deep in thought about what to do. How could it balance things out?
Then, after pondering for a few minutes, it finally decided and, with a snap of its fingers, a pistol appeared in Davi’s hands.
"Maybe she’ll get mad at ," it said with a slightly scared tone. "But I’ll lend you this weapon during the test. Just please don’t break it. And one more thing, your ammunition is limited, so be careful when using it."
After saying this, the being disappeared, and Davi was once again enveloped in that white light. This ti, he was transported to a forest.
