Chapter 772: Dragon Boat Festival Extra (Part 2)

Aske struggled to get out of bed only by noon.

As the saying goes, even an iron plow ox can’t withstand plowing the fields every day.

Not to ntion that the fertile land never gets tired, and even with my body strengthened by Extraordinary Power, after ti was subsequently substantially extended, each conclusion left feeling hollowed out.

Although this may sound a bit pathetic, maybe I should still go seek Nora for so recuperation…

After washing up and coming back from the bathroom, Aske saw that Eleanor was already out of bed, she was barefoot on the carpet, trying on a casual everyday outfit in front of a mirror her own height, her originally tied-up blonde ponytail had co loose, now ssily draped over her shoulders.

Aske hugged her from behind and began to massage.

“Stop it,” Eleanor said with a mild rebuke, slapping his hand.

“I’ll talk to Mike about it today,” Aske nibbled at her ear.

“Don’t tickle ,” Eleanor, trying hard to keep a serious expression, soon burst out giggling as she held onto the arms that Aske had wrapped around her waist.

The pair got dressed and left the house (Eleanor without a Maid) and then headed for the ho tutor’s room.

The ho tutor, Marine, was a refined and elegant lady with round glasses. Initially, she could talk politely and amiably with the couple, but gradually she found herself at a loss for words.

“Lord, I really can’t keep teaching…” Marine took off her glasses and wiped them carefully with a handkerchief, sobbing as she said, “Back in my hotown, people already gossiped about for being unwed at my age… but Lord Maximilian openly harassed with words during my class, and this I simply cannot accept. Otherwise, I’d lose all my dignity to teach the children.”

“I will certainly give you an explanation for this incident,” Aske quickly soothed her.

After sending away the weeping ho tutor, Aske couldn’t help but sigh. Eleanor, on the other hand, stood with furious knit brows, anger boiling within her; golden light glead from her hand, the resplendent Will coalescing in her palm into a stick as thick as a wrist.

“Wait, didn’t you say violence doesn’t solve problems?” Aske quickly asked.

“Violence indeed cannot solve problems,” Eleanor asserted fiercely, “but it can make feel better!”

Aske stood agape, while Eleanor didn’t bother to waste words with him any longer; the Will Fog quickly spread out, soon enveloping the entire Weisbach Palace.

“Foolish children, run for it!” As a father, all he could do was silently pray for his son in his heart.

“Found you!” After a brief mont of Sensing, Eleanor exclaid loudly, pulling Aske along as they hurried away.

…………….

In the kitchen, four boys were attempting to wrap cabbage leaves around milk rice.

The reason it’s called Milchreis is not because “German technology is the best in the world at cultivating rice with a milk taste,” but simply because the locals are accustod to cooking this type of rice in milk, thus creating an illusion of whiteness upon whiteness.

Actually, it’s not tasty at all; among the four boys present, not one of them liked this stuff.

“I can’t get it to stick,” Corey muttered, attempting to forcibly squeeze the cooked milk rice together – only for a lot of rice grains to leak between his fingers.

“Corey, it’s not about using force, look!” Maksi said gently, laughing as he rolled the rice softly in his palm, quickly shaping it into a rice ball.

“Maksi, do you need to remind you that you all are half-brothers with the sa father?” Mike glanced sideways at Maksi.

“So what?” Maksi asked innocently.

“Nothing.” Seeing that Maksi completely missed his sarcasm, Mike felt deflated and silently went back to stripping cabbage leaves.

“What are you doing?” A voice suddenly ca from the door, “Why have you driven all the cooks out of the kitchen?”

The four boys turned their heads to look and saw a girl of about ten years old standing at the door, wearing a frock with a bow, holding a thick book in her hands.

Kunigunde Lucrezia von Weisbach, the third child of Aske and Eleanor and the sister of Maximilian and Christopher. With light brown hair (a mix of gold and black), a charming appearance, not very active, fond of reading books, usually spending her ti in the library or in the courtyard, no one knew why she would co to the kitchen.

“Kuni, we’re wrapping zongzi,” Chris explained.

“Zongzi are wrapped with glutinous rice, not milk rice. The leaves they use are bamboo leaves, not cabbage leaves.” Kuni said indifferently, looking at her brothers with rice all over their faces and hands, “And even if you managed to wrap them like that, they won’t hold their shape. As soon as you unwrap the leaves, the rice grains will scattered.”

“Then where can we find that glutinous rice and those leaves you ntioned?” Mike asked bluntly.

“It’s bamboo leaves, Aspidistra,” Kuni corrected him in Latin, “Actually, any longer and stiffer leaves will do. As for glutinous rice, you can ask Mother Nora; there should be so on Fire Island.”

“Well… then I’ll go ask,” said Maksi hesitantly.

To be honest, they were all quite afraid of Nora. It wasn’t so bad for Corey, but for blond and handso youngsters like Mike and Chris, they were definitely going to be dragged by Mother Nora to dress in drag, decked out like dolls, and then brought out for a public execution in front of everyone.

As for Maksi, since he was her biological child, he was used to it and didn’t mind.

“Hmph!” Kuni let out a cold snort, holding her brothers in disdain for always pushing gentle Maksi forward for these tasks.

But since they were about to suffer anyway, she couldn’t be bothered to say more, turned around, and said,

“I’m going to write to Sister Anna. You continue.”

Kuni, in her little leather shoes, clattered away, leaving the boys looking at each other in dilemma.

“What’s with your sister getting more and more affected?” Mike slapped Chris on the shoulder, mimicking Kuni’s haughty expression, and said in a high-pitched, nasal voice, “I’m going to write to my Anna. You continue, hmph!”

“She isn’t your sister too?” Chris couldn’t help but laugh and cry.

“But she’s usually closer to you,” Mike said sourly.

“Isn’t that because when you were little, you always snatched her toys and made her cry?” Chris looked at Maksi, “Besides, I think she’s even closer to Maksi.”

“The sisters are all quite close to ,” Maksi said with an embarrassed smile.

“Jia Baoyu,” Corey suddenly blurted out in Chinese.

“Huh?” Maksi was taken aback.

“If you’re going to have a harem,” Corey paused, then said to Mike, “With Maksi’s personality, he’s more suited than you.”

“Why?” Mike was puzzled.

However, Corey just shook his head and quietly wrapped rice and at filling with cabbage leaves, placing them on the baking tray of the oven.

“Wait, Corey, explain yourself.” Mike grabbed his arm, “Why is Maksi more likely to start a harem? Is he handsor than ? Or is he richer?”

“Let go,” Corey said indifferently.

“Don’t… don’t fight…” Maksi hastily tried to pull them apart.

Watching the three boys tangled up and wrestling with each other, Chris silently curled his lip and decided to slip away to go back for a nap.

But as soon as he stepped out of the kitchen, he saw his mother dragging his father by the arm, charging over with an imposing air.

“Mom… mommy mommy that, mother!” Chris, scared, didn’t know what to say, his hands involuntarily pointing toward the kitchen.

However, Eleanor just gave him a dignified look and then turned to rush into the kitchen.

A few minutes later, earth-shattering wails erupted.

At night, Aske changed into his pajamas and hung them up in the closet before climbing into bed.

Eleanor turned her back to him and didn’t speak.

Aske prodded her back with his elbow.

“Don’t touch ,” Eleanor said faintly, “I want so peace and quiet.”

“What’s wrong?” Aske sensed her mood was a bit off.

“Is my upbringing of Mike a failure?” After a mont, her voice sounded as if she was talking to herself.

“Why do you say that?”

“Look at him, he’s always loafing around, not as bright as Chris in his studies, nor as sensible as Maksi in personality. Even Corey, the most introverted and taciturn one, at least he doesn’t make rude remarks to the maids and tutors, right?” Eleanor said with a tone of loss, and her voice gradually began to choke, “It’s… it must be my fault for not caring for him enough, otherwise, he wouldn’t have turned out like this…”

“I don’t think he has a problem, Ellie,” Aske pondered for a mont before speaking, “You’re being too sensitive.”

“I’m sensitive? As a father, you have no responsibility for how the child turns out?” Eleanor suddenly turned around, her face flushing with a tinge of angry embarrassnt.

“Do you even know what they were up to in the kitchen today?” Aske changed the subject.

“What were they doing?” Eleanor’s attention was, indeed, diverted.

“Zongzi,” Aske said.

“Ah?”

“He heard from sowhere that the whole family should eat zongzi together for the Dragon Boat Festival.” Aske recounted, “Kunigunde told this afternoon that Mike actually wanted to personally make zongzi for us to eat… but you beat him up, so that was that.”

“I see,” Eleanor said, shaking her head.

After a mont, her mood suddenly improved oddly.

“Mike is only 14, what he’ll beco in the future is still uncertain, so don’t make a judgnt based on his current state,” Aske continued.

“Mm,” Eleanor suddenly turned over and pressed her soft, voluptuous body against him.

“And what about you?” she said with a smiling voice, lightly poking Aske’s chin with her finger, “Over these many years, have you changed, my Squad Leader?”

“As a father, I’ve certainly grown too,” Aske seriously replied, reaching out to brush aside her golden hair and pinch her cheek, “You’ve also beco much more mature, Ellie.”

“Hmph.” Eleanor, sohow, suddenly beca a bit angry again, “As a father, you’ve had far more children than I have.”

“That…” Aske looked embarrassed and simply covered his face, declining to answer.

“Kunigunde says she wants a sister,” Eleanor propped herself up on his chest, sitting up straight with her curvaceous, graceful body, her face unexpectedly flushed with an enticing blush.

“So, are you going to put in more effort?”
