Chapter 81: Jerry’s plan

"Which conspiracy are you talking about?" Damian asked, pushing Jerry away from him. "I don’t want to discuss anything, I want to go after Valeri now!" he exclaid, attempting to walk towards Tristan’s rented house, but Jerry stopped him once again.

"Please don’t go see her because it will only make her hate you more!" Jerry exclaid, blocking Damian’s path.

Damian clenched his jaw, looking towards Tristan’s house.

"To , this is strange... That guy appears when you and Valerie argue, then he gets her attention... Don’t you feel like this is all planned?" Jerry asked.

Damian shook his head, still gazing towards Tristan’s rented house, imagining Valerie giving attention to him.

"We need to resolve this, prove that you’re not wrong!" Jerry tapped Damian’s arm to get his attention. "Understand... You can’t solve problems with emotions!"

Damian sighed, then walked towards the porch and sat on the edge. He slouched, running his hand through his hair in frustration, unable to hide his annoyance, unable to stop thinking about Valerie and Tristan.

"I’ve never been like this before, I’ve never faced a situation like this, letting the girl I love be with another guy!" he said angrily, then lifted his head and looked at Jerry beside him. "I’m hurt... I can’t accept this!" He pounded his chest.

"And that’s what Valerie felt when she found out you were with Clara... what she thought wasn’t the sa as reality, that’s what you’re feeling now. I’m sure she’s just consoling that guy, but you think she’s having fun with him... Just like what she thought, she thought you were having fun with Clara but in reality?" Jerry asked.

"I was just helping her because she was hurt," Damian replied despondently.

"You both are burning with jealousy... You need to calm down... Restore the longing until it accumulates... Then you guys can et again," Jerry said, then patted Damian’s shoulder. "And et her when you can prove that you’re not wrong," he continued.

"How..."

"et Clara."

"You’re crazy, that will only make Valerie angrier!" Damian said sharply, imagining his eting with Clara at the office. Suddenly he rembered his father who strongly disapproved of his closeness with Valerie, still not believing that they didn’t have a relationship, even ordering soone to kidnap Daniel. "I think I know the mastermind behind this trap!" he said, clenching his fists and narrowing his eyes.

"Who?"

"My father... Maybe he’s the one behind this to make Valerie and

fight. He probably already instructed soone from the office to take pictures of us, to follow us to the apartnt... or maybe he’s the one who told Clara to et !" Damian exclaid angrily then stood up. "I have to et him now, I have to confront that old bastard!" he continued, about to walk but Jerry imdiately held him back by pulling his shirt and standing up.

Jerry positioned himself in front of Damian. "I’m not sure your father is behind all of this... Don’t always accuse him without evidence... Don’t always be angry at him because it might only make things worse!"

"Then what should I do?" Damian asked frustratedly.

Jerry averted his gaze as if pondering sothing.

"I don’t want to dwell on this issue, everything needs to be resolved as soon as possible because I don’t want Valerie to keep hating !" Damian exclaid impatiently. "We have to married, and I also don’t want that stupid guy to snatch her from ... And the worst possibility is if she suddenly disappears like before... Goes into hiding... I might go crazy, you know!"

"I know, I know your fear!" Jerry nodded his head. "We’ll solve this soon. I’ll handle this issue, starting tomorrow. For now, you should go ho, and let Valerie calm down."

Damian sighed heavily, glancing at Tristan’s rented house, feeling so reluctant to leave Valerie there with him, but he also couldn’t force her to leave.

...

Valerie treated Tristan’s bruised wounds by cleaning them with a black little towel dipped in warm water since he didn’t have a first aid kit or ergency dications.

"Ouch..." Tristan winced as Valerie dabbed the corner of his lip.

"Sorry..." Valerie looked at him anxiously, stopping wiping the corner of his lip. "I think I should call a doctor to treat the major injuries and give you painkillers."

"No... You don’t need to do that..." Tristan shook his head.

"But you’re in pain, your whole body will hurt even more after this!"

"It’s Okay... I’ll order painkillers tomorrow... I just need to rest..." Tristan leaned his back against the black sofa’s back.

Valerie sighed, looking sympathetically at Tristan who looked so pitiful; Bruised nose, cheekbones, corner of his lips, cheeks, even his eyes looked reddened and teary.

"I’m sorry... This is all because of ," she said sorrowfully.

"It’s okay, as long as he didn’t hurt you," Tristan replied with his sad gaze. ’If not for Karina, I wouldn’t have tolerated this. I could have broken that bastard’s neck!’ he thought angrily.

"You shouldn’t have intervened... I hope this is the last ti you deal with , with my problems," Valerie said anxiously, recalling Damian’s emotions. "He often loses control..."

"That’s why I had to intervene before he hurt you," Tristan said before Valerie finished speaking. "A man like him is not worthy of you... He can’t control his emotions, he can’t see his faults... He’s a dangerous man and I won’t let a man like that continue to bother you..."

Valerie fell silent.

Tristan moved away from the sofa’s back and looked at Valerie seriously. "You are a good girl, How could you end up with him? Even have a child with him?" he wondered with amazent.

"He used to be very kind... I’ve never seen him lose his temper," Valerie said, looking down, holding the wet towel in her hand. "He beca easily emotional since I returned here after being away for so long... This change is also because of my fault."

"No... you’re not wrong," Tristan said softly. "If he’s good, he wouldn’t do this."

"I don’t know, I’m confused..."

"You should go back ho, I’m worried he’ll take Daniel," Tristan said as he stood up. "I’ll accompany you there," he continued.

"No!" Valerie replied as she stood up. "You don’t need to accompany . I’m afraid he’ll punch you again..."

"But I’m also worried he’ll force you to go with him again."

"Tristan..." Valerie shook her head as she held Tristan’s hand. "Trust , I’ll be fine. Besides, Jerry will protect . He won’t let Damian lose control again, especially since his mother is there too."

Tristan fell silent, looking at Valerie with concern.

"You better rest," Valerie said again.

"Let

know if he forces you to go with him again," Tristan replied with his solemn gaze. "Or call

before you sleep. At least I can calm," he continued.

Valerie nodded with a thin smile, feeling sowhat awkward with Tristan’s gaze so she quickly let go of his hand.

"Don’t worry," she said, then imdiately left.

Tristan followed Valerie to the terrace, then let her walk alone towards her house.

"She’s a good girl... She doesn’t deserve Damian, even Karina doesn’t deserve him. He’s a lucky bastard for getting love from two beautiful girls!" he thought angrily.
