Evelyn Taylor rolled her eyes with a “I’m not listening, I’m not listening, I’m not listening,” and said:
“There’s nothing more important than you finding a daughter-in-law to give grandchildren.”
As for the more important matter Edward Smith ntioned, Evelyn truly had no interest whatsoever. Seeing there wasn’t a daughter-in-law in sight, she grabbed her husband and prepared to go upstairs.
“What I’m about to say is related to my sister.”
Edward’s helpless voice ca from behind them.
Evelyn rolled her eyes, turned to him, just about to scold him when Thomas Smith and Olivia walked into the room at the sa ti, just in ti to hear Edward’s remark.
Olivia, having never received any care from Edward since childhood, felt a surge of excitent upon hearing him say “my sister.”
“Big brother, does this have sothing to do with ? Are you introducing to a boyfriend, haha!”
She joked and laughed, attempting to get closer to Edward.
But Edward simply looked at her sternly, without a trace of a smile, even exuding a chilling, stern aura.
The smile spreading across Olivia’s face froze when she saw Edward’s serious and severe expression.
Charles Smith and Evelyn, witnessing this, also found it difficult to watch.
Although Olivia wasn’t as smart as the rest of the family, she was still his biological sister.
But from childhood to now, this boy never showed his sister a good face; those unaware would think she wasn’t his sister at all.
Evelyn glared at Edward with annoyance, just about to speak when Edward said:
“I’m not talking about you; I’m talking about my real sister.”
The words on Evelyn’s lips stalled, and Olivia, along with Thomas beside her, simultaneously turned pale.
When Edward uttered these words, he was observing Olivia and Thomas’s expressions, noticing that neither seed to think he was joking, and both subconsciously turned pale.
Clearly, Olivia had long known she wasn’t the Smith Family’s daughter.
But Thomas’s reaction puzzled him.
Knowing that Olivia wasn’t his real sister, why never ntion it?
When he lent the Night Hawk to Olivia, did he know what she intended to do?
Edward’s gaze fell on Olivia and Thomas’s faces, growing colder, but a mont later, he withdrew his gaze.
Evelyn didn’t think much of it, simply assuming Edward was speaking nonsense, and said:
“Olivia is your real sister, what nonsense are you saying?”
It’s not that she’s dumb; it’s just that no one would think that the daughter they’ve raised and loved for over twenty years isn’t really theirs.
So her first reaction was that Edward was joking.
anwhile, Olivia and Thomas also snapped back to reality after Evelyn spoke.
“Big brother, are you joking? Am I not your real sister?”
Olivia forced a relaxed smile, trying her best not to look nervous.
Thomas quickly chid in:
“Yeah, big brother, have you been drinking? Why are you talking nonsense? Isn’t Olivia our sister?”
As soon as Thomas finished, Edward swept a chilling gaze over, scaring Thomas into instinctively avoiding Edward’s gaze.
“Olivia, a sister of mine, Edward Smith, should be stunningly beautiful and intelligent, determined by the genes of our family. Don’t you have any self-awareness?”
