The scene of the year she lay in a coma on the hospital bed was right in front of him.
He was afraid, afraid that after only a few days with her, she would leave him again.
He didn’t know how much luck in this world would fall upon him, whether Helen would wake up under his anticipation like last ti.
That night, he hardly slept, staying by Helen lendy’s side, waiting for dawn.
And that whole night, besides Harry Hall, there was another person who didn’t sleep, and that was Leanne Richards.
She was so worried that she tossed and turned all night without sleeping, thinking of various excuses to exonerate herself, only to have them all shot down.
Her son was a cold-hearted person, and besides that vixen Helen lendy, he wouldn’t spare anyone.
And she had hurt his beloved, that ungrateful son wouldn’t let her off.
Whenever Leanne thought about what she was about to face, her heart couldn’t help but tremble.
Early in the morning, she sat up from bed, with a strong unease in her eyes.
"No way! I have to speak clearly with Harry, can’t let that vixen take the initiative."
Saying that, she hurriedly changed into a more plain outfit, tousled her hair to make herself look disheveled and haggard.
Due to her age and a sleepless night, her face indeed didn’t need any extra disguise.
She ca out of her room and imdiately encountered Jane, who was busy downstairs.
"Ma’am."
Jane looked at Leanne with an indescribable expression, thinking of the terrifying look on the Young Master’s face last night, she silently mourned for Leanne for a few minutes in her heart.
Leanne at this mont had none of her arrogant and domineering presence from last night, trying her best to appear weak.
She knew that in her son’s heart, Jane held more weight than her as his biological mother. If Jane would say a few good words for her, combined with her showing weakness, that ungrateful child might soften his heart.
Thinking this, she forced a tired smile from the corner of her mouth, with a hoarse voice, looking at Jane, she said:
"Jane, yesterday’s incident was my fault. I was just so angered by that vixen... by Helen that I slapped you, don’t take it to heart."
Jane looked at Leanne lightly, she knew too well Leanne’s bully-the-weak-but-fear-the-strong temperant.
At this mont, she could lower her stature as the mistress and apologize to a servant like her, simply because she wanted her to say sothing good in front of the Young Master.
She is a servant; getting slapped ans nothing to her, there’s no need to talk about forgiveness.
But how co the Ma’am still couldn’t see clearly, it wasn’t about the Young Master pursuing the slap she gave her, but what she did to the Young Lady.
This slap, although it landed on her face in the end, the Young Master already knew what the Ma’am originally intended for the Young Lady.
Oh~~
Jane sighed inwardly.
Although she felt it wasn’t her place to randomly comnt on the family’s affairs as a servant, to be honest, their Young Master having such a mother was truly...
The Ma’am didn’t have the dignity of the mistress of a grand house; what she acted like last night was just like a shrew from the streets.
She still couldn’t understand how the mistress of a prominent family could covet her daughter-in-law’s house, tsk tsk tsk...
Just the thought of it made Jane feel Leanne’s behavior was truly disgracefully appalling.
"Ma’am, you are too kind, I’m fine."
Jane didn’t ntion anything else and simply went about her own business.
