"Young Master."

After Jane had seen Doctor Matt out, she pushed open the door and cautiously walked in.

She knew the Young Master would have questions for her.

Harry Hall’s gaze fell on her cheeks, swollen on both sides.

Jane was getting on in years; her skin wasn’t very smooth or youthful and it had a dark hue, yet the fingerprints on her cheeks were still clearly visible.

At this mont, both sides were swollen high.

Among the Hall Family, the number of people who could lay a hand on Jane was few.

Harry’s eyes deepened slightly as he asked:

"What’s happened to your face?"

Upon hearing this, Jane instinctively raised her hand to cover her face, showing no intention of complaining.

She was a servant, and although she had raised Harry Hall, she always adhered to her duty, not daring to claim credit in front of Harry, nor would she sow discord between him and his already strained relationship with his mother.

Hearing Harry’s question, she replied perfunctorily:

"It’s nothing, just now while supporting the Young Lady, I accidentally bumped into the staircase handrail."

Because of the swelling, Jane’s speech was sowhat unclear, as if she had a stone in her mouth.

Harry’s eyes sank further, "Jane, I don’t like it when you lie to ."

His sharp gaze locked onto Jane’s evasive eyes, his voice sinking, "Tell the truth!"

Harry had never spoken harshly to Jane; in his eyes, she was not just a servant, but a senior.

Therefore, for the first ti, he used such a heavy tone, inevitably startling Jane.

Looking at the Young Lady still lying unconscious in bed, Jane knew that even if she didn’t say anything, the Young Master would find out everything.

With this in mind, she spoke truthfully:

"It... it was the Madam who hit ."

Harry’s pupils contracted slightly, the coldness and anger clashing in the darkness of his eyes.

"Be specific."

The coldness released from Harry’s eyes beca increasingly intense, his unfeeling gaze fell upon Jane’s face, saying:

"I want to know all the details of what happened tonight, without any omissions."

Jane contemplated for a mont, then nodded in agreent.

She then explained in detail the argunt between Leanne Richards and Helen lendy tonight to Harry.

Including how Leanne demanded Edward Smith’s card from Helen, and how after Helen was yanked and knocked unconscious by Leanne, she frantically tried to wake her up, telling the whole story.

The temperature around Harry continued to plumt.

Especially upon seeing the slap mark on Jane’s face that was initially ant for Helen lendy, the temperature in his gaze dropped to freezing.

After a long ti, he said to Jane:

"I understand, you should go rest now."

"Alright, Young Master."

Jane looked at Harry with concern before turning and leaving the room.

After Jane left, Harry sat down next to Helen lendy.

Looking at her pale complexion and the high bump on her forehead, he felt so much pain that he couldn’t breathe.

Thinking of the clear fingerprints on Jane’s face, it was clear how heavy the slap ant for his wife’s face would have been.

Thinking of this, the coldness in Harry’s eyes intensified.

He felt so regret, regretting that he hadn’t insisted she leave the Hall Family before he left ho that day; if she had returned to her apartnt or gone anywhere else, it would have been safer than staying at the Hall’s Residence.

Before Doctor Matt completed the examination, his heart was entirely consud by fear.
